I loved the SheCodes Basic workshop! The lessons were perfectly explained and broken down into short and easy to understand videos. SheCodes is an amazing option for people who have little to no knowledge in coding and truly want to learn. Matt is an amazing teacher and the SheCodes community is so uplifting and supportive. I definitely will be attending another workshop in the future!

This workshop helped me realize that coding isn't as hard as I had originally thought. Also, the way Matt introduces each lecture makes things really easy to understand. This has been an enlightening and fun experience, I am really excited to complete the rest of the SheCodes workshops!

She Codes was the perfect way to learn some coding! The Basics course was a great way to test out coding to see if that is the path I'd like to pursue in Tech. I decided to pursue UX and PM'ing instead, and the best part is that these coding skills will help on that path as well! I am so excited to be transitioning my career into Tech. She Codes created an amazing space and tool for me to upskill on my time in a very optimistic and encouraging environment. I definitely would recommend SheCodes courses.

Kudos to Matt and his team for developing a fun but informative way for women (especially busy working class females) to learn coding. This is a course that every female should pursue because not only are you armed with another skillset, but you will be in a network of smart females. My feedback on this course: I got value for my money, course was presented in a well written and sequential way. The course weekly assessments were of very high standard and the entire hands-on approach was what made this course suitable for females of every walks and background. I strongly recommend this coding course to every single females in every single country around the world!!!

I am a UX Designer. I learned how to code back in university mainly backend languages (java, python), and being a designer I wanted to better understand developers' perspectives when handing off designs for development. This was the perfect workshop for a good refresher on the basics of front-end development. I love how the concepts are broken down really well which makes it easier to grasp information and love the supportive community on slack.

The whole workshop was awesome. Mattβs explanations were very clear and easy to understand. Iβm surprised by the amount of coding knowledge Iβve gained in the past 3 weeks with SheCodes. Highly recommended for people who are new to coding.
I liked all the workshops because the teacher explained all the concepts in an easy way. It was rewarding to complete a simple landing page and implement Javascript on it because I have struggled to learn JS before.
I loved this workshop! Matt made it very easy to understand. Everything is broken down into simple to follow along steps. I'm definitely going to continue on to SheCodes plus. A career in web development seems more attainable now.

I completed a bootcamp that was 7 times more expensive than SheCodes Max and it was nowhere near as effective or engaging. I am excited about coding and my future in Software Engineering again! π₯°
I love the scaffolding method that SheCodes uses to teach you new content. It's a great method to use because you're just building on the previous information that you've already learned.

As someone who is completely new to coding, this workshop was challenging. However, the SheCodes team is very responsive in a timely manner, and willing to assist. I also like that they offer an easy way to request extensions for the workshop.
Very challenging but I enjoyed learning so much more about Javascript and being confident using it!

I started SheCodes to get a background on software development and I found something so much better. This is such and great and engaging platform and I will be continuing my journey with SheCodes to expand my mind and my options π.
This was a really great experience. I love how Matt explained everything. I loved the idea of learn then actually practice hands on. I find it very difficult to sit and watch long videos and PowerPoints. I like how Matt broke everything down into smaller categories and provided an opportunity to actually practice after teaching through a short video. I am a hands-on learner and I feel that he catered to my learning style.
I sincerely appreciate the SheCodes Basics program for allowing me the opportunity to pursue one of my curiosities, while also keeping the process fun and engaging. I am grateful to have learned from an instructor who is not only passionate about coding, but who is also extremely knowledgeable. Matt's ability to assemble seamless and well-structured lessons allowed for me to have an incredibly beginner-friendly coding experience.

I have always been so scared of coding, it looks so intense. SheCodes made coding not only fun but easy to understand. I found myself so excited to get to the next lesson and learn more. Matt does an amazing job explaining and breaking down all of the areas you need to code successfully. I do not think I have ever taken a course where the homework didn't feel like homework! With SheCodes the weekly homework assignments just added to the experience. The final project was so much fun to piece together. There were definitely moments I got stuck but Matt is an excellent teacher and prepares you with all of the tools you will need to hand in a successful project! I truly enjoyed the course in its entirety.
A great introductory course to coding. I found Matt's instructions to be very helpful, even as someone that had no prior background in coding. I would say that the first week is definitely the hardest, but once you grasp the basics, all the information you are learning makes sense and builds upon itself. I also found it helpful to watch the videos and practice the exercises at the same time (kinesthetic learner) and pausing/rewinding when I needed too. Also the extensions were a real life-saver around the holidays! Thanks for including that option!

Matt is an amazing teacher! He helped me transition into the world of HTML, CSS and JS and explained every single concept in depth with examples. Class had good information and concepts, but felt somewhat disorganized. I learned a decent amount for being an intro to basics.

I've always enjoyed creating things and problem solving. After 9 years at my customer service job I was looking to make a change and grow a new skill. I stumbled onto coding while searching online for new avenues. I took a free class on some different sites, found I really enjoyed it and began my journey of learning more. I found SheCodes and took the free class. I've just finished my basics workshop and look forward to continuing forward and become a developer.

Even with a basic knowledge of front end coding under my belt, I was able to learn a lot of new things. The class and projects are challenging yet fun and the Slacks team and my classmates helped me a bunch when I struggled with a code. Instead of overextending myself, I kept my codes simple like Matt suggested which ultimately helped me not overcomplicate my code and stress myself out.
SheCodes is a great platform to learn coding in an informative yet simple way.

I never thought that I would be able to code. I'm a health policy professional-turned-soon-to-be UX/UI designer and developer. I've really wanted a creative way to earn income from home. Coding seemed so intimidating, but in 3 weeks with SheCodes I've built my first website from scratch, have my very first project for a portfolio, and have earned my first certification!
I really enjoyed the basics course, it was easy to follow and understand. This was the best form of instant gratification.
Great workshop! I finished the three week class in less than a week because I was having fun solving the puzzles and learning something new. It was a bit addictive to be honest. π The pace of the class was perfect. Matt gave us enough information without going too slowly and the homework was challenging without being overwhelming.

The lesson is well-structured. I like the way that Matt showed us how to inspect the webpage to create independency in the learning process. The support of the team and peer-learning method are something you won't get from a free ride lesson. He explained in understandable language contrary to trainers who at times just want to sound smart and use sophisticated terms to impress, but the learners didn't understand or grasp the central point of the lesson

I enjoyed SheCodes Basics. I thought it was challenging without being too difficult. The challenges after each lesson help you to put everything into practice.
I had seen this program on Tic Tok and decided to try it out and see if coding would be for me. Honestly, I fell in love with it, Matt made everything so easy to follow and it was very easy to learn. Any questions I would have would actually be in the next video I would watch for each course. I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone, any age.
I will first like to point out that I had ZERO experience in coding. When I think of what coding is, I use to think of it was the highest level of the pyramid and that I will never be able to understand it, yet so fascinated by it. So, I give it a chance. Not only that I understand it, but I also enjoyed it. It's hard to learn something that you're scare of on your own, with no physical help. But, SheCodes [Slack] team was very helpful, encouraging and patient with me. I would love to go beyond the Basic course, hence why I choose to continue with SheCode Plus. Thank you everyone for being such a great team to us!. I'm still nervous, but I highly believe that Matt and his team will pull me through my journey.
