I had a lot of fun learning through this course. The way this course was taught was easy to follow and engaging, I would definitely recommend to others! The deadlines help keep you on task and committed to completing the course.

The SheCodes Basic workshop gave me a really good introduction into coding. The lessons were easy to understand and follow. SheCodes is a really good program to learn for development. I started this program before I enrolled in college for information technology and it was very helpful. Because I already learned the basics using SheCodes, I was able to excel in my website development class. 10 out of 10 recommend!
In just 2 weeks, I had the basics for creating an appealing website. The workshop was challenging, and required a good deal of work, but by the end, I felt I had enough knowledge of the topics that I could successfully implement the basic principles.
I really enjoyed this intro course. I've had a little experience with looking at existing website codes and trying to make my way around edits. But now I know WHY the codes looked the way they did and how they function. Looking forward to learning more!
This was a fantastic introductory course to coding! Each lesson has the perfect amount of material covered, and you can go at your own pace. The exercises that followed the lessons helped put the learnings into practice, while also providing solutions so you can correct or improve your work if needed. Highly recommend!

SheCodes is an excellent course for both beginners and those trying to refresh their brain. I tried teaching myself back in 2021 and was frustrated because I was using a free site that just made you do all of the reading and wasn't very great at explanations of different concepts. I love how SheCodes is very interactive. The formatting of the video, challenge, and then explaining the solution is very effective. I also love all of the free tools such as the curated CSS gradients, cheatsheets, and all of the CSS generators. They were very helpful and fun to use for my final project so that I could easily and quickly test out what would work best (especially the generators). I would recommend SheCodes to anyone.
Great way to get your feet wet in html, CSS, and Javascript. The videos are easy to follow and understand. Like with most things, you get out of it what you put in. I think to understand code and build a strong foundation, you need to be coding every day.

I am an ex-engineer and a new designer. As an engineer, I always love to design and create something new and discover how it can help people more. Now, as a full-time designer in health care, coding my design to test is even more important to iterate safer.

The first time coding was brought to my attention, I thought to myself that it was going to be extremely difficult. Since, I am a person who loves a challenge, I went for it. When I decided to use SheCodes as my learning platform, I was nervous. But, after the first lesson, I knew I made the right decision. Matt's teaching style is definitely very clear to understand and follow. Especially for individuals who have never seen coding before. In the 2nd week, I started to doubt if I could really do this or not. And this was because I caught myself getting stuck on challenges. I started to feel intimidated. After reaching out for help from other students and SheCodes staff, I gained my confidence and excitement back. Coding so far is fun and very interesting. After completing SheCode's basic workshop, I know without a doubt coding is for me. I look forward to learning more programming languages, techniques, and skills with SheCodes!!

I loved how SheCodes had short videos that didn't feel overwhelming and you could watch at your own time. There is always help available when you need it but I think when your code is not working and giving you the result you want, trying to figure out what is wrong helps you learn better! Matt is a great instructor that makes coding really fun and exciting. Would definitely recommend this course!

I really enjoyed this beginner coding class. Matt simplified every language (html, css, javascript) and I thought the challenges at the end of each lesson were awesome, though at times challenging! As a mom to 4 kids, I am so proud of myself for completing this 3 week course. It has inspired me to start in the tech industry.

Its great to be able to practice after the information you've been given. Of course it can be frustrating at times but the satisfaction and happiness you feel after you finally figure it out is so liberating. The last time I tried to take a class/course like this was 18 years ago! I found myself getting lost a lot, not understanding anything, and just felt like giving up. Which I ended up doing. Matt is very thorough in what he teaches and breaks everything down step by step, making it easier to understand and execute on my own. This is the type of instruction I wish I had received in the in-person class I took all those years ago, but I am very grateful for taking this leap with SheCodes!

SheCodes just changed my life for the better. I am a former secondary teacher who has pivoted into the tech world. However, I knew I desired to further my tech skills and make myself competitive in the technology industry. When I signed up for this course a week ago, I didn't fathom that I would fall in love with coding. I felt like I was playing a fun yet challenging game. I have finally found my passion. Lastly, I did the 3-week workshop in 1 week while currently nine months pregnant and with a busy 2-year-old and husband at home. I will forever recommend SheCodes to all the busy ladies in the world. I grew up in the Myspace days and I was so into customizing my page, that I was unknowingly web designing. I had to go through life to realize I rather be spending my days doing that for a living. Thanks to SheCodes I can start that journey. These classes were easy, fun, and inspiring.

I loved diving a little deeper into the world of front-end developing! This course does a fantastic job of building off the foundational concepts from the basic course and advances your understanding of how HTML/CSS/JS all interact with one another. It was definitely challenging at some points, but Matt does a great job of breaking down his thinking process to help users learn and grow.

SheCodes Plus was a great experience. I was able to learn more about JavaScript, how to integrate API, and host a site. Creating my own weather app was super cool and fun. The SheCodes team on Slack was always there to help answer any questions I needed. I am excited to continue my coding journey!
I knew a little bit of HTML/CSS/JAVASCRIPT before jumping into this program, but this program helped me understand certain things that had been brushed over in previous programs. It was VERY helpful getting the additional break down of the languages.
SheCodes was a really wonderful way to sharpen my very basic coding skills- when the holidays came around and I got too busy, I was able to shift my deadlines accordingly. I'm so excited to be able to apply these skills to my client website projects! Also LOVE the SheCodes Radio!
I think I took every possible route into coding. Originally I started off of youtube university which was ok for the most part but I needed more guidance on the order I should learn things. I thought I'd join a bootcamp and by the second day, I was completely lost. I knew that I really wanted to code and it became a bit discouraging feeling like I couldn't grasp the information given. I gave it one more try with SheCodes basics and I am so glad I did. Matt explains everything so well especially for beginners with his metaphors and reasonings, I'm able to see code in my everyday life! I love that SheCodes challenges me through every lesson, I picked up so quickly and even had the confidence to help others with the same situations I faced. I had so much fun with this workshop. I was first curious and after taking the free coding workshop I knew I wanted to learn more. Coding has become a fun and creative way to create pages about things I like, while also learning skills to benefit my career growth. Matt's lessons are very well presented and easy to understand. This course allows you to learn while watching, with hands on challenges and homework. It is also nice to have help when needed on Slack.
I thought that I was going to have the hardest time learning abut html, css and javascript. It was definitely challenging but knowing how they all work together in harmony made it easier to learn and understand. I'm looking forward to diving into the world of code more.
