Building a functional weather app with APIs was no doubt one of the hardest projects I've ever worked on. However, the sense of accomplishment, and feeling proud of the work I've done are indescribable. SheCodes continues to amaze me with all the well-structured lessons and awesome tools.
SheCodes Plus made me feel like I could be a coder. Repetition is key! I repeated a whole week and gained a better understanding of what I was doing.
This is a little more challenging, but it continues the foundation of coding. I recommend taking your time to understand the "why" and don't be afraid to mess up.
When you learn components you never would even believe that at the end of this all you will know how to connect them and use them together. What a wonderful workshop with a great deal of information and real-life projects that mimic the same things you see on the internet. Matt is a wonderful instructor with an interesting and engaging personality. HIGHLY RECOMMENDING to anyone wanting new knowledge!
React was challenging for me. It can be easy to forget things when you don't have the opportunity to keep practicing so learning something new in each lesson can be alot, especially if working a full time job during the day. I would highly recommend to anyone learning coding to practice skills further than class/homework if you have some extra time. SheCodes provides opportunities to put your skills to use with challenges on top of the weekly homework. As challenging as this workshop was, I would still recommend it. I think coding skills can be very valuable.
I am thrilled with my decision to enroll in SheCodes courses! The lessons and tasks were enjoyable, and despite my limited knowledge initially, I now feel confident discussing the topics. I'm looking forward to learning even more!

The Plus workshop is a huge jump from the Basics and Basics Add-On courses offered by SheCodes. With plenty of time to learn and practice, this workshop is really covers some complex topics like axios, API Calls, more Javascript functions, and a development workflow with multiple files and use of github.
The "Basics Add-on" course was an excellent opportunity to apply all the skills from the foundation's course and learn a couple of new tricks. If you need an additional project to practice and test your knowledge, this course will be a must!

I am a Full Time Registered Nurse at the bedside that has been looking for an alternate career path. I decided to dip my toes into the tech world with SheCodes because it let me do just that without committing to an entire 8-24 month long commitment at a formal university; and I am so glad I did it because I'm learning how much projects matter more than an institution name and 4 year programs! I also love that they offer shorter workshops to try out coding before committing to a larger investment, which many alternatives require of prospective students without them even having tried coding. The learning segments are easy to digest, homework and challenges are very straight forward and they teach you real life ways to find help before reaching out to their technical support. It is very organized and easy to follow. All in all, I have to say I'm impressed. I've only done the 3 week workshop and already have a project that I can put on my portfolio and that has given me the confidence to proceed with the SheCodes Max. I really enjoyed plus. It deep dived into JS and taught me another level of coding. It was challenging but encouraged me to want to go above and beyond with learning. Can't wait for the next class.
This course was a lot of fun! Overall, it was easy to understand the material as presented and look up anything I didn't know. I will need a lot of practice before I feel as though I "know" html, css, or javascript, but this was a great start!
Umm... It was a tough few weeks! It was way more challenging then basic one, Of course I should of known that. But it was fun. I got to learn how to make a "Weather App", now that was cool. React felt very daunting before starting it but I am really happy with what I was able to accomplish with this course, it was delivered very well!

I really enjoyed it! It was affordable and easy to complete over the span of a few weeks. I have a very complex schedule, and taking the time out for an in-person course/live course would not have worked for me. I was able to stop and pause with SheCodes, and still learn coding.

I have not coded since about circa 2000 when I was on myspace. I have a few girlfriends who are in tech. One of these friends has pushed me in particular in the last year. This SheCodes Responsive Portfolio project was so much fun to build. I love that I can go back and add more as I continue to code and make more projects. The SheCodes Plus workshop has taught me so so much. There's no way in a million years that I thought I could learn code enough to create my own app. Now I am proud to say that I have learned the skills to create my own web application and I have a project to prove that. An essential course for coding beginners! I was already familiar with basic HTML and CSS through my web design background and back-end customization, but I now feel even more confident knowing the fundamentals of all 3 (HTML, CSS, and JS) and being more involved in the coding process for my clients. The lessons were all very informative and digestible. The Slack chat was also extremely helpful for any questions that I had.
