I think the add-on portion of the program is important because you're able to showcase a wider variety of skills, as well as learn a wider variety of skills.
I wanted something different, something that will be a career and not just a job. This field looked like the way to go but I wasn't sure if I could do it. That was until I came across SheCodes and it just fit and fell into place.
shecodes.io offers basic workshop that helps in understanding the basics of HTML, CSS, and javascript. React, Responsiveness of pages. Explanations of lectures are very simple to understand, and assignments are fun to accomplish while improving skills and providing assistance on slack. the course was highly engaging with explanations that was straightforward. The whole experience absolutely lovely. Very thankful to the whole team!✨🎐

This workshop was such a blast to work through! The layout was straightforward and simple, which I loved. The program is easy to follow and the instructor explains the lessons very well. What was a pleasant surprise was the community of other ladies taking the courses as well! I loved having a space to talk and share ideas with other students of the course!

Shecodes also added to my self discipline, I was able to discipline my self more to submit the assignment by the deadlines. This addon course built my confidence in working with JS.
I have always been intimidated to learn how to code. It always seemed too difficult to understand. I am glad I did my research and came across this program. I wanted to see how much I'd enjoy taking the Basics course so I signed up. I know there's still a lot to learn but I can see just how far I've come in using HTML, CSS, and JS. I'm really proud of my final project and even added in more features not required just to see if I could do it! I come from a heavy sales background so transitioning into this field may take more time for me to consider. Although I'm not sure where this will take me, I do feel confident if I ever wanted a developer career, that I'd be more than ready to take on a front-end role (as that still seems daunting to me at the moment). If you're unsure, at least give the basics a chance, especially considering the price point for the Basics program alone. It would be well worth it to explore this industry to make sure it's something you like or not.

I started this course as a "true beginner" and I feel like I've learned SO much so far! The lessons and challenges are tricky BUT very manageable. I definitely recommend this course to women who work full-time and are looking for a course to take that works with their schedule.
I enjoyed this class. I had a lot of fun building websites and working more with styling techniques, responsiveness, and SEO. I also liked the section on website accessibility. This is not an area that I had experience with or understood the importance of previously.
It was a good intro to tech!, highly recommend
SheCodes is a great start to figure out if you like coding. This helped me decided if I want to pursue coding and allowed me to learn skills that is useful!

I've been trying to learn how to code for the last year but couldn't really get the hang of it. I also wasn't sure where to start or what I should focus on as there is so much to learn. I finally decided to enroll in SheCodes and have really enjoyed the coursework thus far. It's very easy to understand and the projects are enjoyable to work through. It can be a challenge at times but once my work is done, I love being able to see what I've created.
I LOVED SheCodes! I had a great time learning everything and can't wait to implement it. Thank you all for so much fun and I can't wait to continue my coding journey!

This was an excellent experience, I learned a lot and I would definitely keep doing all the courses in SheCodes. Matt is a great instructor, every topic is very well explained. I am currently studying UX and I'm excited to put to use all the tools when it comes to create a prototyping design, mobile apps, or websites.

Interesting additions to the Basics course
This first class was definitely difficult but once you get the understanding of what you're doing and practice it becomes much easier. It can be a bit hard to get at first but it's absolutely worth it. This was such a lovely class and I can imagine much easier than other longer term courses from other agencies. Thank you SheCodes I'll absolutely be upgrading!

I am so glad that I made the decision to continue my coding journey. I would have never thought I could do something like this.
With the coding knowledge that I have gained within the past few months, it's as if I can see behind the curtains of some apps now. I'm picturing what the HTML looks like and wondering how they got the font that is being used. In all honesty, coding seemed a bit intimidating, because the art of learning new things has never come easy for me, due to dyslexia. But the love of puzzles has pushed me through, whenever I broke my own codes. If it wasn't for the SheCodes slack team, I would have thrown my laptop outside the window by week #6. I appreciate that team for the times that I have gotten stuck and I must have worn out their patience.
I loved the SheCodes Basics workshop! I have no background in coding or technology of any sort, but decided to try it on a whim to see what it was all about. I appreciated that the lessons were short enough to explain each concept in a digestible way. The Basics course helped me discover that 1) I can actually code and 2) I enjoy it because it combines technical and creative skills and makes me think in a different way than what I'm used to for my everyday job (I work in healthcare). I would highly recommend this course if you're interested in trying out coding!

Matt is a great teacher and the Slack moderators are encouraging and always there when you need them! I found the weather app to be a bit challenging, but I'm happy to have learned more about Javascript, and so happy with the end result of my weather project.
I enjoyed this workshop so much. It definitely has given me so much more confidence! I can now say that I know HTML, CSS and JavaScript!! Woohoooo!!!
This was a really fun project! I thought adding time zones and locations would be a lot more complicated, but yet again Matt was able to explain everything clearly, concisely, and make all the new material very digestible.

I started with very minimal knowledge. I tried to take a class in college but it was overwhelming and I didn't understand much. This tutorial is not only easy to follow, but I not only understood what I was doing, but I actually had a ton of fun learning and cannot wait to continue my education. I never thought coding could actually be fun and interesting. I highly recommend this course.
This was such a rewarding time. I took a chance in learning coding and I'm glad I did. If you're looking to start coding I would highly recommend it. You don't loose anything. I hope to continue to progress throughout each course. Thank you, Matt for being a great instructor. 😊

Good basics overview.
Tech is such a broad field, and seeing where I am fit is important to me. Being a creative, Web development stuck out to me the most. I love to design, build and solve problems. Coding is just that. Yes it is challenging, but coding is like learning a new language. I love knowing that I can put together codes to build a beautiful masterpiece!

I absolutely LOVE SheCodes Basics! I came from a different coding bootcamp that I spent four months in and still struggled to understand some concepts, especially JavaScript.
