SheCodes has made the journey of learning to code very exciting & easy. I have mastered and accomplished much more with the program's structure, along with Matt's instructing style, as opposed to me learning on my own through self-paced courses found on Udemy, etc. It's been a wonderful experience so far!
SheCodes is the very best coding experience for new coders and/or coders who want to refresh their skills. The classes are easy to follow and the information that is taught is absolutely invaluable. I've enjoyed SheCodes Basics and cannot wait to start the next workshop!
Learning React is not an easy task. I appreciate how this workshop focuses on key elements and models each step to creating a working weather app. There's still so much to learn, but I now have the foundational knowledge to figure out how to make functional React apps.

Wow, this class was intense. I enjoyed learning React; you can do many neat things, and the code looks prettier. It was a very challenging class, especially figuring out how to transfer my CSS to the correct file, and which parts of your code you should leave or move into the next component to keep the design how you want it. If you take this class, utilize the Slack channels to help solve any issues you may come across. Overall it was super fun and I am excited about the next section.
Although I encountered significant challenges with a previous coding boot camp, I remain committed to pursuing my dream of becoming a developer. As I did with the other workshops I have gone through so far, I loved this one! I felt as though I was touching on really important and current skills that are necessary in order to develop my skill-set even further, and I enjoyed feeling like I already knew what I was doing. This workshop really helped me learn not only the basics but also the capabilities you can achieve. I loved being able to be creative and challenge myself to produce what I set out in my wireframe. I loved the SheCodes workshop. Matt's style of teaching is so easy to follow, and the short videos combined with mini challenges made it super easy to learn how to code a basic landing page. I'm really looking forward to continuing my learning and becoming more adept with programming. I definitely recommend that everyone learn at least the basics of programming - you won't regret it.
i have learned *so* much in the last two weeks. as a (previously) proud luddite, i cannot believe i'm actually coding! the lessons are broken down into very easy-to-follow, bite-sized pieces, and you slowly build up your skillset. i cannot wait to keep going with this course.
"I really enjoyed the Basics Add-on course. It was a great way to refresh, refine and boost the skills I originally learned in the Basics course. It also taught me some new skills in HTML, CSS, and JS that I had not yet learned (even having completed the Plus course first). I feel much more confident with my coding basics after completing this course. As always the lessons were very clear and easy to follow and the challenges in each lesson were fun and really reinforced what had been taught.
Once again, SheCodes has helped me advance my web development skills. This one, React, was by far the most difficult. I am thankful for the flexibility of these courses, and the direct support through the SheCodes Slack Community to help when I need it. This project was very fun to make, I should have finished this add-on first. But I totally missed it, when I had finished the Basics SheCodes, I guess I was too eager to jump into the SheCodes plus part of the training. The extra challenge was worth the knowledge I have gained. Now I can look back and realize where I was struggling.
SheCodes has been a great tool to learn how to code as a beginner. I came into this with no experience and successfully finished the workshop. Matt is great at explaining and you receive a lot of support through the journey.

I have always been a bit intimidated by computers and took the free coding webinar with SheCodes on a whim one day. I ran into my husband's office and I said, "I can't believe I've waited this long to start coding. It's so logical and intuitive, and IT IS EXCITING. This is what I'm missing." I'm a chemist and chemical engineer with a background in construction. I've done alot of modeling and python, and a lot of drafting through my career, but never any coding or development. I'm really excited for this new opportunity to learn and expend my skills. I don't think I've ever been so excited to learn something new!
I have been a teacher for almost 10 years and could not see myself staying in this career for the rest of my professional life. After seeing a SheCodes ad online, I became very interested when I saw it was geared solely to women. I just completing my SheCodes Basics final project and I can't believe its something I would be doing in my 30s. Thanks Matt & SheCodes and I'll see you in SheCodes Plus!

I was already familiar with HTML but not JavaScript or CSS. Learning JavaScript and CSS was a breeze with the way that Matt broke everything down. I was extremely nervous about learning the two, but the way that Matt teaches it was truly amazing! I honestly am in disbelief that I have completed my first project! I'm excited to continue learning with SheCodes!
Matt simplified explaining code so well that being a beginner like myself I felt like I was able to learn so much so easily. It definitely makes me want to take his more advanced classes!
Really loved SheCodes Basics and it gave me the push that I needed to start my new career in coding! Being a full-time employe, it really helped that you can do the courses at your own pace and to have the support system of Matt's tutorials, slack and all the SheCodes team is a great value!
The Plus workshop was instructive in creating a fully functioning weather app. The lessons guide you through the process of implementing APIs, multiple functions, loops and arrays, etc in JavaScript and HTML, and also give you creative freedom in adding personal touches in the CSS.
This was a pretty intensive workshop. I enjoyed and it, and can say that my understanding of React grew. I will add this project to my portfolio. I feel more confident in my coding journey.

Matt makes learning new skills very straightforward and also fun. He explains new concepts slowly and methodically, which I love. One of the biggest selling points of SheCodes was the structure of the workshops. I can make my own schedule and take lessons from anywhere, but there is also homework and deadlines to keep me accountable each week- it's perfect for me! Thank you, Matt and team!

Its a easy, but comprehensive course. I really enjoyed the simplicity, but the review of options to show the coder that there is a lot of flexibility within the codes.

SheCodes helps break down learning to code into simple quick lessons. What I liked about this course versus others was the coursework wasn't copying the lesson code from each lesson verbatim.

I have been learning to code for a few years now. I have taken other coding bootcamps, but SheCodes is by far the easiest to understand. It is very hands on which I love.
This course was so much fun! Matt does a great job of explaining the processes and the step by step projects are great for active learning. Since starting this course I have definitely decided to start moving towards a career in front end development/web design.
