The course is tough, but the amount of resources available makes it doable - especially the Slack group! And you have to not be afraid to google what you don't understand!

SheCodes was a vigorous journey, but a fulfilling one nonetheless. I'm thankful I started here, where I received more than enough foundational knowledge and support to seriously pursue coding.
It was a bit of a challenge towards the end, I'm glad we were able to refresh our minds from the previous workshop. I would also like to show my gratitude to everyone on slack for helping me through my journey through this workshop. They have been so helpful towards my progression in full stack development. I can't wait to see what you guys have prepared in the later workshops.
SheCodes Responsive workshop was very rewarding to complete. I truly felt that I was able to easily grasp the concepts explained each week, and enjoyed utilizing what I have learned from this workshop and past workshops to assist me in coding the final project.
This stuff is tough and sometimes I do not think that I am up for the challenge. I will continue to put my best foot forward.

Despite facing a few challenges such as, organizing my time to complete assignments, understanding bootstrap in depth this workshop that took me longer that expected to complete, my overall experience with it was very rewarding. Matt and his team did a great job to explain each step of the process with ongoing support via Slack, where the team reviewed and provide feedback as I needed. SheCodes offers ample opportunities for self-improvement through monthly challenges that have definitely sharpen my skills. Thank you to the SheCodes team!
This was a good course overall, however, I thought it was a bit of a jump from the Basics course. The JS was much more complex here and at times it was quite hard to follow along to videos. However, I really enjoyed the last two weeks of having no challenges, just simply the lessons so that we could take time to implement what we learned previously.
It wasn't easy to jump into something entirely new but, even after the first few weeks, I have gained skills which I can apply to my daily work. I don't know, ultimately, how I will use the knowledge, but I'm excited to have learned something new at nearly 48 years old (and completely out of the wheelhouse).
I would definitely recommend SheCodes. The step-by-step instructions are so helpful. And I like the way Matt reviews most of the content before the final project is due.

I love that the class is essentially self-directed with deadlines and support. Makes it feel like a live class and I am really enjoying coding. It's fun and challenging and I can for-see this being something I do long-term.

I studied art and work in a coffee shop. I had 0 experience in coding and I was worried I wouldn't be able to understand a THING. Coincidentally, this workshop makes it so simple to understand and learn. I couldn't believe I was flying through the lessons. I even looked forward to it daily. I must say that the final project has been one of my favorite things I've completed this year so far. I feel inspired and motivated to continue learning.
SheCodes Basics is an amazing course! I was always intimidated by coding, and this course made it feasible. I had tried other resources and did not gain nearly as much traction and retainable knowledge as I have with SheCodes. It's totally worth it! And I have a web-page to prove how much I learned! As someone who already knew some HTML + CSS skills, but felt so rusty after trying to show how it works, SheCodes helped point me in the correct direction on how to start my code, how to make it organized, and ultimately how to make it work. Building a functional weather app with APIs was no doubt one of the hardest projects I've ever worked on. However, the sense of accomplishment, and feeling proud of the work I've done are indescribable. SheCodes continues to amaze me with all the well-structured lessons and awesome tools.
SheCodes Plus made me feel like I could be a coder. Repetition is key! I repeated a whole week and gained a better understanding of what I was doing.
This is a little more challenging, but it continues the foundation of coding. I recommend taking your time to understand the "why" and don't be afraid to mess up.
When you learn components you never would even believe that at the end of this all you will know how to connect them and use them together. What a wonderful workshop with a great deal of information and real-life projects that mimic the same things you see on the internet. Matt is a wonderful instructor with an interesting and engaging personality. HIGHLY RECOMMENDING to anyone wanting new knowledge!
React was challenging for me. It can be easy to forget things when you don't have the opportunity to keep practicing so learning something new in each lesson can be alot, especially if working a full time job during the day. I would highly recommend to anyone learning coding to practice skills further than class/homework if you have some extra time. SheCodes provides opportunities to put your skills to use with challenges on top of the weekly homework. As challenging as this workshop was, I would still recommend it. I think coding skills can be very valuable.
I am thrilled with my decision to enroll in SheCodes courses! The lessons and tasks were enjoyable, and despite my limited knowledge initially, I now feel confident discussing the topics. I'm looking forward to learning even more!

The Plus workshop is a huge jump from the Basics and Basics Add-On courses offered by SheCodes. With plenty of time to learn and practice, this workshop is really covers some complex topics like axios, API Calls, more Javascript functions, and a development workflow with multiple files and use of github.
The "Basics Add-on" course was an excellent opportunity to apply all the skills from the foundation's course and learn a couple of new tricks. If you need an additional project to practice and test your knowledge, this course will be a must!

I am a Full Time Registered Nurse at the bedside that has been looking for an alternate career path. I decided to dip my toes into the tech world with SheCodes because it let me do just that without committing to an entire 8-24 month long commitment at a formal university; and I am so glad I did it because I'm learning how much projects matter more than an institution name and 4 year programs! I also love that they offer shorter workshops to try out coding before committing to a larger investment, which many alternatives require of prospective students without them even having tried coding. The learning segments are easy to digest, homework and challenges are very straight forward and they teach you real life ways to find help before reaching out to their technical support. It is very organized and easy to follow. All in all, I have to say I'm impressed. I've only done the 3 week workshop and already have a project that I can put on my portfolio and that has given me the confidence to proceed with the SheCodes Max. I really enjoyed plus. It deep dived into JS and taught me another level of coding. It was challenging but encouraged me to want to go above and beyond with learning. Can't wait for the next class.
This course was a lot of fun! Overall, it was easy to understand the material as presented and look up anything I didn't know. I will need a lot of practice before I feel as though I "know" html, css, or javascript, but this was a great start!
Umm... It was a tough few weeks! It was way more challenging then basic one, Of course I should of known that. But it was fun. I got to learn how to make a "Weather App", now that was cool. I had never considered coding as a hobby or career option, now I can see both in my future. Coding is fun! I'm so glad to be learning coding with SheCodes and Amazing Teacher "Matt".
React felt very daunting before starting it but I am really happy with what I was able to accomplish with this course, it was delivered very well!
I embarked on coding the Weather App for SheCodes Plus with enthusiasm, and it turned out to be an incredible learning journey. The challenges were plentiful, especially when integrating the API and managing asynchronous data. Overall, the course provided hands-on experience and problem-solving opportunities. I really enjoyed it! It was affordable and easy to complete over the span of a few weeks. I have a very complex schedule, and taking the time out for an in-person course/live course would not have worked for me. I was able to stop and pause with SheCodes, and still learn coding.

I have not coded since about circa 2000 when I was on myspace. I have a few girlfriends who are in tech. One of these friends has pushed me in particular in the last year. I've had a great time during the three weeks rekindling a passion I had for learning to code. This class was perfect length and price to see if I wanted to pursue coding further.
