Shecodes helped me to understand the fundamentals of frontend coding. However, i have a long way in front of me to become a frontend developer. I really enjoyed this course.
Matt did a wonderful job at creating an experience that taught how and what to do without making it easy. There is definitely a learning curve but it was a lot of fun! It was a wonderful class and I look forward to the next one.
The SheCodes Basics course was so much more than expected. I have always been thinking about trying coding and I am happy I chose SheCodes. I am very pleased with the way the lessons are taught. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to understand the basics of coding. With the way the lessons are easy to understand and how we have Slack to ask for help. The tutorials in this workshop were very helpful especially the videos on API's and CSS positioning.
This help me learn some new techniques while building on the skills I learned from the previous workshop. I'm starting to feel more confident in my ability to learn and apply what I have learned.
Matt goes over a lot of information quickly yet effectively! You can definitely spend way more time then the minimum of 5 hours a week. It depends on how quick you work through the challenges. I'm enjoying the courses and I'm excited for the SheCodes Plus workshop!

I wanted to learn how to code just to give me more skillset as a UX designer. I've tried learning on my own and that didn't work, due to just all the information out there without guidance on where to start. I came across SheCodes and I am so glad that I did because it truly is amazing with teaching the basics of coding. I was looking to add a new skill and possibly something to help me if I decide to change careers. I decided to try coding and SheCodes, and I was hooked. The lessons are short and simple enough to follow and recreate the assignments without too much issue. If I had an issue, someone was there to help me!

After I completed SheCodes Basics I immediately wanted to take the Add-On Project. I recommend taking the SheCodes Basics along with the Add-On shortly after. I have had a great experience so far with both workshops. I learned a lot in 1 week and very proud of myself. I developed the confidence to learn something new and follow through when things got challenging. I am excited to see what other skills I can develop with the other SheCodes workshops.

I began the journey, March 2023, of teaching myself HTML, CSS, JavaScript by using various platforms for guidance, but none of them gave me the structure I so needed. I felt as though I was spinning my wheels in tutorial hell, not knowing when enough was enough to proceed forward. Thanks Matt for instructing, articulating, demonstrating and providing the structure I need to excel.
I had such a great time learning on SheCodes. As a future Computer Science student this fall, I learned so much more about Coding and Web development. SheCodes basics served as a really good refresher for me. I took Web design in high school and a few college course classes but we didn't go over javascript in those classes. They were after all basics. So a lot of the language I was familiar with but there was a lot that I wasn't familiar with also.
Another challenging course that encouraged me to recount and build on the skills I learned during the previous SheCodes workshops.

Being fairly new to coding I wanted to try it out before making a larger commitment and chose the SheCodes basics workshop. I am happily surprised that I learned so much in three weeks and had so much fun letting my creativity shine through! The lessons have great structure making them easy to follow. I usually watched the challenge before starting the lesson so I could work on the solution and the same time. I can't wait to start the next workshop!

This Responsive course provided me with a new knowledge and helped me greatly in understanding how to create a responsive multipage website. While it initially posed some challenges, particularly for newcomers like myself, the experience was enjoyable, and I gained a tremendous amount of valuable insights.
