I had no idea how SheCodes would change my life. Before it, I was filled with doubts and insecurities, especially when it came to learning something new, like coding. I believed I didn't have the necessary skills to face this challenge and that certain areas were beyond my reach. However, since I started taking classes at SheCodes, my perspective has completely changed. SheCodes helped me build my self-confidence, not only as a programming student but also in other aspects of my life. Gradually, I began to realize that the only limitations I had were the ones I imposed on myself. By overcoming the obstacles of learning programming, I discovered that I could overcome many other barriers that once seemed insurmountable. SheCodes also showed me something of utmost importance: the power to transform the current landscape where the programming field is often dominated by men. It breaks gender stereotypes and biases, proving that women possess as much talent and capability as any man in this field. Through the inspiring examples of other women, SheCodes made me believe that we can make a difference and create a more diverse and inclusive environment. As a woman and an immigrant, I have often faced challenges and barriers that could have deterred me from this path, but SheCodes showed me that it is possible to overcome these obstacles and achieve my goals. The school taught me that we don't have to limit ourselves due to unfair social views about gender and nationality. I have always wanted to learn how to code. My wife gifted me this course and I'm having a blast. Hopefully I will be able to put this new knowledge to use soon.

This program made learning the basics of coding very accessible and doable. The tutorials, explanations, challenges, and weekly homework are great ways to begin coding if you don't have any experience. Perfect for novices. I do recommend it especially if you have any inkling of interest.

This course is definitely less information-dense than SheCodes Plus and, since you don't use JS to make a website responsive, much easier to understand! I also think the way Matt explains how to use Bootstrap in this course is much clearer than in SCP and you learn fundamental skills to make your website look great on all devices :) I personally still struggle a bit when Matt becomes messy and confusing but he's also really funny and engaging - never boring!
I am just amazed how far I have gone through with this online coding workshop thru SheCodes.io. I have learned a lot and be able to build my portfolio with the help of my teacher, Matt Delac. I know that I still have to learn more and be challenged with lots of projects. It's hard but it's worth when you see your accomplishment so far. Keep on coding!
I am very pleased with this course because everything is structured and divided into logical blocks. and I want to add that it is cool that the project we do during the course is not some kind of theoretical project but a real weather forecast.

For the price it was a nice introduction to coding, and very flexible. I have social anxiety, which is why I prefer online classes whenever possible, and SheCodes did not disappoint. I did not reach out to staff or other students because most of all my questions could be answered by SheCodes AI bot, Athena, Google searches, or the SheCodes Resources page. This course was short but it still challenged me A LOT. I will take a small break to take a Procreate course, but afterwards I will be coming back for one of the more extensive workshops SheCodes offers.
Wow! This project was not easy, but it was worth the time and effort on creating this application. I'm more amazed at what can you create with coding.

I found SheCodes a year ago and join the free webinar. After taking the webinar I was scared that I wouldn't be able to learn how to code. Fast forward to now I decided to take a leap of faith in June. I signed up and I am glad I did. Matt is wonderful teacher. He really puts a lot of thought in to each lesson and I really appreciate that. I have been in the IT field for 2 years now and coding was one for the goals that I had made for myself to accomplish. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow as person.

Matt is an outstanding teacher! He is incredibly talented at simplifying complex concepts and at introducing the correct pieces of information sequentially in order to build foundational knowledge. Also, he has a very kind & soothing voice and demeanor. When listening to multiple hours of lectures, it's extremely helpful to enjoy the teacher's voice and personality. He's also funny and adds in bits of humor to some recordings. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

I had started teaching myself to code a few months ago, and while I enjoyed the learning process, I found that I was greatly in need of structure. SheCodes delivered on that front and more. I appreciate that the curriculum gives both easy-to-understand lessons AND points us into the direction necessary to find answers on our own.
This part was more challenging. I feel less confident with what I learnt and it seems it's gonna take a lot of time and practice to understand what I'm doing. I would of appreciate more challenges and maybe another project than the weather app already built in vanilla JavaScript.
Matt is an awesome teacher, all the courses are fun and understandable and overall I had fun on this journey to becoming a web developer.
I'll admit, the idea of learning coding with no prior knowledge was intimidating at first. This course melted away all intimidation through its thorough explanations, examples, and practice opportunties.
