I greatly appreciate the SheCodes course. I learned so much and it was very exciting to see what I could accomplish. Matt's instructions were very detailed and that was reflected in all of the modules. Definitely beginner friendly and easy to follow with some trial and error.
Course work is easy to follow. You must set time aside to focus and really learn coding if you are a newbie. I've learned so much and looking forward to the next workshop since I've purchased beyond the basic package.
So much fun and so much learning! The course keeps getting better every step of the way, and seeing the finished product makes me feel so grateful I found SheCodes. 100% worth it!

I've always had a fascination with coding but didn't think it was something I could learn. I somehow got it in my head that coding was something that only those smarter than myself understood. That I'd feel lost if I tried. And I'm really glad I stopped listening to the little voice in my head that was saying all that. This course was such a great way to learn and I can't wait to continue! This is genuinely so fun.

The Basics gave me a strong foundation of knowledge that provides me with confidence. With this foundational knowledge, I can either move forward with adding building blocks, or perfect the knowledge of the terminology.
I used to believe coding was difficult and not for me, but with SheCodes, Matt makes learning code accessible and easy to understand.
I started SheCodes Basics in January of 2021 as I had an interest in learning how to code. In my day job I work as a CRM manager, and it's important that we have a basic knowledge of HTML + CSS. However, in January 2021, I only got as far as week 1 because I was discouraged. I thought to myself I'd never be able to fully grasp the concepts I was learning, especially without a CS degree. The same curiosity about coding came again 3 weeks ago, and I figured I had nothing to lose. Knowing and understanding HTML and CSS is such a valuable skill. I'm happy I committed this time around. I've also enrolled in the full SheCodes bootcamp, and I'm excited to see where it takes me.
While it took me longer than expected (due to some outside challenges), I learned quite a bit more than I expected in the three-week program. The tasks were enjoyable but grew increasingly more difficult as the course progressed.
If you're looking for a challenge, this course is for you. I have been a student for some time and always looking forward to the next course they release. I am proud there is a platform that encourages women of all backgrounds to gain a skill for an advancing technological world. I am glad I continue to learn new materials and thankful for Matt and their team for putting these courses together.

I really explored my creativity with this add on.
My name is Whitney Reed. I'm from Mississippi, but now living in New Orleans, Louisiana. Back, in 2019 and in 2021, I had got in trouble. I lost custody of my daughter to my aunt and uncle in Mississippi. In 2022, I was into a relationship not too long after that and I wasn't happy with my life and the choices i made in it. in 2023, I, then, decided to moved to New Orleans. My goal was to do DoorDash with my car and saving up money, but i ran my car down and sold it. After using up my money and resources, I called a friend up for advice on the next move. She suggests a shelter, so I look one up. The second listing on Google was the New Orleans Mission. It's a faith-based homeless shelter that has an amazing 1 year discipleship that gets people learned about God and help you get back to him. After that, they help people get back in society, and help people get back with their families. I'm a graduate of the program and now into the transition stage, where I'm working full-time and working on a car and housing and hopefully, reuniting with my daughter. It's wonderful. While I was there, I was thinking about get back to school, especially in computer and technology. I already went to four colleges, but i dropped out of all four (mainly because of the discussions). One day, when I finally did my research, I came into SheCodes and signed up in Novemeber 2023 on the Black Friday sale. So far, I love the setup. I like how Matt explains each lesson so well. I definitely like Athena AI in answering my questions so well and also the people over at Slack as well. I wanna thank the people responsible at SheCodes for giving women the chance to learn how to code. I appreciate it!
With all the setbacks that come with life in general. I'm glad I was able to finish this course. It wasn't easy, but I learned a lot. I am truly grateful for this experience
I am so glad I took this course, as well as all the ones leading up to this! I never thought I'd be able to pull off such a project and it has really opened up a whole new world of fun, new and challenging projects all within my newfound abilities. I cannot believe I was able to complete such an amazing project! I initially felt a bit intimidated, but this is exactly where my foundational and more advanced skills came in place. The add-on was well-structured and easy to follow, just like other courses. I also loved the new tricks covered during the project!

After taking a long break to learn a new role I have come back. It was amazing how much information I have already retained and how easy it was to just back in right where I left off. I attribute my success to the easy to follow directions of SheCodes and their wealth of resources. Of course after a few bumps along the way I finally have a beautiful portfolio.
I really enjoyed getting to learn to code with SheCodes, it has made me realize that I can do more than I think.
This chapter was hard, however I enjoyed learning every bit of it.
I've enjoyed this learning experience. The lectures were easy to comprehend, concise, and straight to the point. The material wasn't too heavy or overwhelming. This was fun and I would definitely do this again.
It took me a while to finish this project but with extensions I was able to finally finish it!
As a first time coder, I found the classes easy to follow along, yet challenging at times. I enjoyed learning new skills. I am proud of what I have accomplished so far. I cant wait to take the add on course!

I created my first application and I was able to share it. I feel very motivated to continue learning after this workshop. Through this course, I've built the confidence to not only enroll in my first ever buildathon, but win (along with my team) the grand prize first place position! Sooo exciting! SheCodes Plus is an exceptional workshop that enabled me to delve deeply into crafting dynamic lines of code, resulting in the development of responsive and fully functional applications. Throughout the course, I gained expertise in advanced JavaScript techniques, learned to integrate live APIs for fetching real-time data, and acquired proficiency in utilizing Git and GitHub for project management.
