Before joining SheCodes' Basics Workshop, my coding knowledge was limited, but after completing the workshop, I've made remarkable progress. I now feel confident working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I'm eager to delve deeper into the world of coding. The SheCodes basics workshop was excellent! I had been debating a career change and was hesitant about diving in and spending a lot of time and money on something I wouldn't enjoy. The combination of short videos and homework assignments made coding easy to digest. Matt was comprehensive and to the point and with the help of the SheCodes slack team, I was able to complete all my assignments. I am finishing this course with the confidence to know I CAN code, and I will be enrolling in the SheCodes Max program next.
I had a really fun time with SheCodes, especially the javascript. But I got through it and I had a lot of fun.

SheCodes Basic wasn't always easy, but the easy access to support, the well-made videos, the challenges/homework, and flexible yet straightforward structure with deadlines made it doable. I struggle with self-learning, but this structure was a good educational setup with autonomy. It was fun also. I highly recommend SheCodes!!
The React Add-on project was a great way to learn how to 1) fetch data from multiple APIs and render it in the same application and 2) go through the process of trial-and-error-ing different public APIs that best suit your application.

I'm learning more than I ever thought possible. In college, I switched my major because I just couldn't understand the language. Matt makes it all so much more simple and he thoroughly explains everything. The videos are wonderful resources, especially if you're a visual learner like myself!
The course is helpful - but depends on the student. After a while the format becomes repetitive and a bit boring - not the content but the format in which the content is learned. But, recommended to begin exploring and learning about web development.

I took SheCodes Basics in 2021...and I'm back! The Basics Add-On workshop was a great refresher and got my brain back into coding mode. I cannot wait for the next workshop!
What a challenging but fun 8 weeks of coding! I definitely had days that were easier than others but with Matt's clear instructions and videos, I made it to the finish line and excited to jump into the next workshop! Thankful for the community of women in my workshop and the SheCodes staff that were so helpful whenever I was stuck during this amazing experience!
I am always amazed at my own abilities when I finish one of these workshops. I never imagined I'd be capable of building two apps now.

The React course was very challenging at times, but also fun.
This project was definitely a challenge for me, but it was a good challenge. I had to step away from the workshop for a while due to personal reasons and ended up restarting the project once. However, the skills and tools I gained from the previous workshops as well as the easy to follow video lessons really helped me get back on track and complete the workshop without too many frustrations. Overall, I learned a lot through this workshop, and it was also fun to complete.
I missed the Add-on lessons and decided to start over again from the basics, as always there is something new to learn different from what the main course has to offer. Great job👍SheCodes team.
I did the basic program to see if i wanted to continue learning about programming. I enjoyed how you have to do challenges that set you up for your weekly homework assignments. I enjoyed everything about SheCodes and the challenges I had to learn to overcome. I enjoyed knowing there's a whole community to be able to rely on if I couldn't figure it out on my own. I plan on doing the SheCodes Max program next

I was excited to learn how to properly make websites responsive for mobile devices. I really enjoyed this course as I now know how to make websites work for both web based devices as well as mobile. This Responsive Add-On was a fun challenge. Learning more on how visually a website should look like with different add-ons.
Matt puts everything we've learned from SheCodes Basic, SheCodes Plus, and SheCodes Responsive into two big React projects. It was challenging but also really fun to see my code come to life. If there is one thing I have taken away from this second project, it's that the best thing to do when one gets frustrated, is to step away for a few moments, relax or do something else, and when you return the answer often times just comes to you.
