I cannot express how glad I am that I took a leap and joined SheCodes. I enjoyed working on the World Clock website. These projects become more fun with each section covered.

The SheCodes Basics Add-On is much more simple than the basic course because it's truly step-by-step. I actually did this course after I took SheCodes+ which, honestly, gave me some necessary breathing room. SheCodes+ was a bit of a struggle for me, so after learning more CSS and simple javascript with this course it kind of reignited that wanting to learn more flame. This course was a lot of fun.
So far the program has been great. I only finished the basic course and I think I can build a decent webpage now. It explains things clearly and gives you many problems in practicing what you learned.
I loved this add-on! I enjoyed learning new elements to add while coding your own website! It was also fun yet challenging to build another website from scratch! I'd highly recommend this workshop after completing the Responsive workshop!

When I started to venture into what I wanted to do after high school I came across web development. I always put it to the side because I didn't think it was what I wanted to do. This course ended up changing my mind and now look forward to starting my career in web development.
I'm so happy that I finally took the chance to learn how to code! It's frustrating, but the results are so worth it! It definitely took more than the suggested hours, but sticking through and being able to go back and learn the lessons is great!
I absolutely enjoyed this certification. I have a tangible project I can use in my professional world and had fun along the way!
A friend took this course 2 years ago and recommended it to me. I've never been able to complete a coding course but this one was amazing. I enjoyed every lesson and even though it's frustrating at times you learn so much and have fun at the same time!!

SheCodes was such a great experience for me, both in personal and professional growth. I loved learning about HTML, CSS, and Script. The lessons were great and the challenges were helpful. Although it could be difficult at times, the slack community and googling MDN solutions was helpful. I am proud of what I've learned and grateful for Matt and the SheCodes community. I can't wait to start the Plus course!!
The perpetual isolation of the lockdown was depressing but it gave me the chance to reflect on my life. This is when I realized I was unhappy with my job and it was time to explore other avenues. During this time is when I also discovered Tik Tok. The "tech girlies" were showcasing their luxurious lives afforded by the benefits their entitled to for working in tech. I decided I too wanted a piece of the tech pie and it was time for me to search for a way in. After researching various coding programs, I came across SheCodes. The reviews were good and I loved that the program was self paced and geared towards women. I enrolled in the Basics program and I thoroughly enjoyed Matt's style of teaching as well as the various resources available. I recommend anyone that is considering SheCodes to go ahead and enroll. You will not be disappointed.
Fun workshop ! I loved building my final project step by step and learning how to make it responsive. I feel more confident week after week thanks to the different lessons. I can't wait to learn more.

A lot of the content was intimidating but in the end it was very accessible and I am proud of everything I learned and what I created!
Definitely gets more "intense"/complicated compared to the previous workshop but that is expected. My brain hurts lol but I feel like I'm improving as a coder and can't wait to learn more, no matter how difficult it will get. Will always favor this type of learning, Matt's videos are 100% helpful/useful.
This class was life-changing for me! I previously thought coding was an inaccessible skill and too complicated to learn without having a degree in the field. That was before I found SheCodes! I had so much fun learning more about JavaScript's capability and being able to build a weather app! You never know what you're capable of until you give it a try. While some of the scripting was super challenging, it was still manageable due to the amazing instructions and how the lessons are laid out. I'm so excited to continue my journey and see what other fun projects lie ahead.
The additional project was a great way to get more comfortable with javascript, dates, and timezones.

I've reached the end of my journey, and it's a bit nerve-wracking because I don't know what to expect next. However, after watching the SheCodes Next program, I've learned a lot and feel more prepared. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Matt and his team for their tremendous support. This workshop has equipped me with the skills and confidence I need to pursue opportunities in the future.
This add on really helped solidify everything I learned about react in the previous workshop, and I was able to create another project!
Being able to work with HTML, CSS, and Javascript is basically a requirement for anyone attempting to enter the field of web design, and this course allowed me to refresh my knowledge and learn new information to put to good use.
Having the knowledge of how to make a webpage responsive is a must. Some of us use a mobile device to search for information, if is not responsive it will not show a proper way. I'm amazed how this course was able to provide these tools for me to learn.

I enjoyed taking this short-term coding course, it was fun when I wasn't stressed about meeting a deadline which they are very lenient about. One day I'll take one of the longer courses, but until then, I'll build on my skills from what I've learned so far and keep practicing. I'm thankful for SheCodes because I can now add coding to my list of skills.
This was a very challenging course. React is not easy, but it is repetitive so once you learn the basics it does get better.

No doubt about it this course is challenging. There were many times I wanted to give up, but I do like the fact that I'm learning something new, challenging myself, and I have an end product to look at. There's always assistance when you need it, because the shecodes team gets to you as soon as they can. I still feel like I fully don't understand but I'm getting there. Also, some advice, don't take a long break in the middle of the course.I had to and I do feel that it hindered how well I grasped the courses. Either way still glad I did it

Self paced, and able to speed up or slow down based on your week. I really enjoy Matt Delacs teaching technique. You feel like you are playing a game, where you WANT to learn, compared to learning at a lecture in college where you zone in and out. AKA it is highly enjoyable and easy to understand.
Loving this program and can't wait to expand on the knowledge I have know and making a meaningful career with the resources SheCodes provides.

Overall great experience with the courses given, very informative. I had lot's of fun building the websites / projects! I cannot wait to continue putting all of this information to work and build websites of all sorts. Only wish we learned more about other well known programs such as python, but otherwise it's a great tool for anyone looking to get into a tech field!
Shecode is something that any women of any age can do! It was a great experience and I had a lot of fun doing all of my work that was given to me by Matt!
I am so happy I started with the basic workshop because it helped me understand what really coding is and so on. I learn so much within these 3 weeks. I can't wait to start the other workshop and land my dream job soon.
Learning responsive code is so important this day and age when most people are looking at your site from their phone. What a good class to take!

This one was so much fun, I feel like I was breezing past it! It was really interesting learning how to use APIs. Also, I'm glad I know how to use GitHub properly now haha. As always, Matt did a wonderful job teaching. I can't wait to move on to the next workshop!
Definitely a more advanced lesson in JavaScript and lengthier than the Basics workshop, but so rewarding to complete your very own customized weather app! The Slack Team was a huge help whenever I got stuck on something. I keep making little mistakes but am confident that the more time I can devote to practicing/coding the easier Iβll spot these errors myself and the better it will all sink in. On to the next course! :)

In this workshop, I became more familiar with Javascript, React, API calls, CSS styling and more. I learned the importance of folder structure and how to deploy a React application to Netlify. I am confidence my experience gained here will help me in my future projects!
A great coding class! would highly recommend it as it's very hands-on with challenges for each lesson so you get to practice practice practice until perfect!
The course was very informative and really helped break down everything. My only dislike is there is a time frame to complete each section. I would like to be able to learn on my own time, at my own pace but other than that It was very informative and easy to follow :)
This is a great little workshop that builds on your knowledge and understanding of HTML and CSS properties. I especially loved the edition of adding a dark mode to the project!
I had been interested in coding for a long time but I didn't think I could do it and didn't know where I could fit it in with my healthcare career. After signing up for the free class, it sealed my fate. I immediately joined the Basics workshop and it is one of the best decisions I have ever done. This has shown me so many opportunities. This workshop was so easy and very understandable. I cannot wait to start the other workshops!

I actually took Introduction to HTML with a few other backend languages in college, so this course was a refresher for me. I will say, I'm glad I joined SheCodes!! This has been a very challenging but fun experience. This course definitely stretched me. It allowed me to get a feel for what a future in coding would be like. I know this was just the basics but it made me want to continue to learn through SheCodes and ultimately land my dream job working as a developer.
I enjoyed learning even more coding techniques and tricks to add to my tool belt, as well as working on a new project!

Made learning the techniques easy to understand in an interesting way.
I was always curious about how computer engineers build websites and people who are in stem create codes for robots and I wanted to see if I'd be able to take classes in order to learn them as I have adhd and I cannot focus on something unless I really love it. I also didn't have the time and money to go to uni for a degree in information technology as I'm already attending to finish up my degree in Business. I found the interface amazing and the courses are bite sized enough for you to understand key concepts quickly all you have to do in practice and create your own projects in the mean time. the best way I learned through out this course was opening up my VS codes file and typing out what was happening in the courses and also testing to see if I understood what I learned. I think most people are scared to start coding because they think it's super hard but it's actually quite fun IMO if you get the hang of coding formulas and the only major thing is debugging but that's really it! I think everyone who can get a certificate should try SheCodes out and if they need one for their job or just for fun it's deff worth a try. I can't wait to keep on with my studies towards becoming a front end web developer!

So much Fun! One thing that I know for sure, is that I love building websites. And this wonderful program makes my love for it become greater. Building a website this time from scratch instead of using Bootstrap was also a great building experience. I enjoyed it!

I loved how well concepts were explained, how reasonable the pacing was, and appreciate how much I learned (and retained!) over a short period of time. The challenges were super helpful in integrating concepts.
SheCodes plus is a much more advanced course in comparison to SheCodes Basics. Although it was challenging at times, I still highly recommend it. It has definitely helped me learn the foundations of web development!

I liked using shecodes. Because not only do they teach women how to code, but also the virtual diverse environment. You'd get to meet people around the world. I also heard people can find good jobs from this program. So if anyone that is interested in being a coder or wants to take a online coding class, I recommend shecodes.
I never thought I would be able to code my own portfolio, but I am amazed at what I have created. I have been wanting to make one for myself for years and I am astounded at what I have achieved!
