SheCodes Coding Workshop Reviews

This is the second workshop I have completed with SheCodes and my curiosity and motivation just keep on growing. Thank you to Matt and the Team for doing such an amazing job of inspiring and involving women in the world of coding 👩‍💻

The course is easy to follow and understand. It is challenging enough for you to learn the material.

Super fun project to build, learned some additional CSS properties that will be fun to implement into future project I build and design. Wonderful and insightful course fit for any experience level!

This add-on was easy to follow and provided so many different elements to make your website stand out! I really enjoyed this section.

I originally purchased the beginner workshop last year and I enjoyed SheCodes learning style enough that I decided to purchase the full pro max course!

Basics has been super fun. Looking forward to the next module!

It was a fun project. I learned a lot from this course. It could be confusing for the beginners at first, but Matt explains step by step. I appreciate his teaching!

I was quite nervous to start this program since I have absolutely NO experience or knowledge in coding or software development. This program so was well organized and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Matt is an amazing instructor and he explained things to where I could understand and follow. I am definitely looking into the more advanced programs now!

I am so happy with what I learned in this workshop and I am very proud of my final product and that it is something I will be a able to use as I seek out work as a developer.

I love SheCodes and how it is self paced! I also love how they have tons of helpful tools to help with the coding process.

I never thought of becoming a programmer before but after taking SheCodes Basic Coding Course, I knew this is the line I will pursue. I like challenges as they make life fun and keep away monotony. I look forward to learning more coding skills to enable me solve people and business problems.

I have coded before but never did website development. This was a good introduction to that and was pretty fun!

I am glad that I was able to finish REACT ADD-ON and learned a lot on this workshop.

I postponed this assignment twice! I wanted to submit it when my vision for it was complete. While figuring it out and brainstorming I developed some skills and some techniques that I didnt know about and didnt think I could do. I had some oh my gosh moments, some excited moments, some ok girl you've got this moments, and most of all I had fun doing it. I am very satisfied with my end results. Matt I'm forever grateful for being apart of this platform and having you as an instructor. Thank You!!!!❤️

I have learned so much so quickly! Really spurred my interest in wanting to take on more challenges and start working in tech! I share this course with many I know who are interested. The lessons were easy to follow along and full of readily available resources in case I got stuck. A very well designed course. Thank you for also making the basic course a bit affordable as well. Will definitely take more courses in the future if possible!

SheCodes has been really motivating, supportive, and fun for my beginners coding journey. I really like that there are constant challenges and a network of cohorts and support team to help you with any questions or problems along the way.

I have learned so much from Matt. The videos were extremely imformative and being able to split everything into mini lessons was super beneficial and kept it from being overwhelming. I'm so excited to continue learning from him!

I loved the SheCodes basic course. I learned so many different skills within 3 weeks. Matt made coding very easy to learn. I highly recommend taking the course if you want to learn about coding.

The longer you code the easier it gets and it starts to become second nature. It's fun to see your progress come full circle.

I really appreciate the time Matt has put into this course. I love it!

The Add-on project was a bit more time consuming, and challenging than the Basics project. Comparing the two landing pages though, I think the benefit of taking this workshop is clear. I was able to create a much more aesthetically pleasing/put together landing page, and would 100% recommend everyone take this opportunity to build upon the fundamentals previously learned.

SheCodes has taught me so much in a short amount of time. I'm always excited for the next lesson and Matt breaks it down in a way that is very easy to digest and understand. I also enjoy how each lesson builds off of previous courses so that you don't lose any knowledge!

I recently attended the SheCodes workshop, and it was an incredible experience! The recorded sessions for the coding workshop were a game-changer! Being able to revisit the material at my own pace allowed me to absorb the content fully has greatly enhanced my coding journey. Highly appreciated! Learned so much! Building the weather app was complex, but worth it!

I learned way more than I expected about the importance of responsiveness and SEO. This workshops definitely prepares you for what comes ahead as a developer.

I really enjoyed completing this last add-on certification, from SheCodes. SheCodes NEXT has now giving me the steps to prepare for future roles, I might take on. This was a nice bonus certification to end the course off with!

React has been so different from everything else we have learned, but Matt makes adjusting to this new style of coding easy. It is amazing how much you can get done using very little code in react!

A great start to my coding journey. I enjoyed the lsessions and was able to better understand and apply what I learned with the challenges after each lesson. SheCodes has a great community that is friendly and helpful. I am ready to learn more!

This course was a great start to learning React. I did learn plenty but at the same time, it was difficult. However, I actually like React. I can see myself learning more, and doing more projects with this JavaScript library.

I went in with low expectations as I couldn't have even told you what coding was before I started this program. I blew away my own personal expectations and was blown away by this program. The ease, the community, the learning - all has been a top notch opportunity. I can't recommend it enough and trust me - if I can handle it, you can too! Give it a shot!

I recently completed SheCodes Plus, and I can confidently say that my coding skills have improved significantly. The course is well-structured, easy to follow, and provides practical projects that have helped me to apply what I've learned. I highly recommend SheCodes Plus to anyone looking to improve their coding abilities.

An excellent way to ease into coding.

This was a great way to learn the basics of coding! I liked that I could do the course at my own pace. I also liked that our challenges included things that weren’t in the lesson so we could get our hands dirty researching how to do things on our own.

I've been in the medical field as a cna for 8 years and taking this course was very fast and easy to understand for someone who doesn't have a tech background. This is very beginner friendly. Love the program!

SheCodes challenges you but also propels you to success.

I think the Basics Workshop was a great very basic intro to what coding can do and the perfect way to test my interest level in the subject/material. I also really appreciated being able to do it on my own time (in between a full time job, a family, life, etc.) - I definitely couldn't have completed the course otherwise. All the teachers always got back to any questions super quickly and thoroughly. I would recommend this for anyone looking to dip their toes into coding. Even though I know I just learned the very surface level, it still was a lot and I'm now very interested in taking my coding education further. Thank you to all the teachers and fellow coders. It was an awesome experience!

Awesome workshop! Shecodes is an excellent starting point for learning the fundamentals of front-end development. I specifically enjoyed the format of the projects as it encouraged me to be creative and apply what I've learned, allowing me to learn more about the concept!

SheCodes had worked in perfect tandem with my current work. As soon as I finish the workshops, I will have everything I need to make the jump to a new field. The flexibility has been amazing. I can speed up the videos, and complete multiple projects at once. Thank You SheCodes for the perfect structure for my workflow.

I absolutely loved my experience with the SheCodes React Add-On 2-week certification! The course was not only enjoyable but also incredibly enriching. It was surprising how quickly I was able to grasp the concepts and build my own dictionary application using React. This course filled in the missing pieces of my skill set, and I'm now more confident than ever in my ability to create web applications. I'm truly grateful for this learning opportunity.

This was a great intro course for learning Javascript and API integration. It built well on what was taught in the basic course and leads into future lessons well. I do wish there were additional challenges/practice work but am happy with what I'm learning!

Easy to learn course on the basics of coding that allows you to learn at your own pace.

This is the second course I have taken with SheCodes and I am so happy with the results! I have learned an exceptional amount in the last two months and am very excited to use this knowledge by applying it to something in this field. I feel comfortable with what I have learned but even if I missed something I can always go back and watch the lessons :)!

I'd liked this one more than the basic. I felt it was more in depth and more designing. Is cool!

I actually liked this one better than the regular responsive workshop because it really focused on building responsive websites without any framework and provided information about using embedded content which I wasn't familiar with.

After two and half years, I decided to take another SheCodes course to refresh my memory and to learn some more about how to code using other technologies. I wanted to challenge myself to see what I can do and if I still had the drive like I did the first time. I'm glad to say that it was as enjoyable, but also exasperating as it was back then. The course has given me something to think about, whether I continue on into this field. Perhaps I can try to integrate this in my language teaching background or in something entirely new. Overall, I recommend it to anyone who wants to test out the waters and who is seeking a new career path. Who knows where your passions will lead you.

I tried to learn coding before with a different BootCamp and that didn't stick because of a poorly structured curriculum and bad instructions. SheCodes is a whole different story - the lessons are bite sized and informative. The challenges are interactive and real life based, which makes them more engaging and fun. I definitely recommend these workshops to anyone who is looking to expand their knowledge and to dive into the world of coding! Coding can be fun - who would have thought! 😍

Every lesson was thoughtfully crafted. The assignments were easy to follow, and the concepts weren't too technical to comprehend. Having taken previous coding classes in college, I can attest that this is the easiest way I've learned coding yet. I enjoyed each lesson/assignment, and the implementation of the previous lesson's teachings into the new assignments kept the skills fresh. When I ran into road blocks, the SheCodes community was patient, kind, and eager to assist. I'm looking forward to moving onto the other workshops.

SheCodes is an incredibly accessible way for women around the world to learn how to code. The lessons are easy to follow and move at a good pace. The projects are not only interesting, but also have real life value as examples of what you can do for potential employers. I appreciate that Matt always encourages us to have fun and to take breaks when we get frustrated - it's a healthy attitude that helps prevent me from getting overwhelmed. When I was a teacher, I learned that the most valuable thing we can teach our students is the ability to learn. Teaching people how to learn, problem solve, and figure things out on their own is incredibly empowering. SheCodes does that for you. While it's not always the most fun as a student (😅), being put in situations where you have to apply previous knowledge to figure out a new puzzle is a great exercise for learning. You'll often find yourself in positions like that during your lessons, but you become all the more stronger for it.
