I like SheCodes a lot. I'm going to take the next step in coding.
SheCodes is the perfect place to kick start your coding journey. As an analyst working alongside engineers I became interested in trying to understand their work. I have searched multiple platforms and different boot camps and I chose Shecodes. It was the best decision I made. The workshop gives you a taste of the kind of projects you can create using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Matt the instructor is an amazing teacher who provides simple and insightful explanations. The best way to learn how to code is through practice and there is plenty of homework after each lesson. *SheCodes has made me fall in love with coding.*
I began this workshop because I wanted to see if I could actually understand it and like it. I had no idea what coding even was. I had heard about JavaScript and HTML but never knew exactly what they were. I was so nervous thinking "Well there goes my money down the drain. I'm not going to understand any of this." First week went so smoothly. Even my husband who knows a bit about coding was impressed how quick I understood how HTML and CSS worked. I caught on quick. Now JavaScript I struggled with it but after going back to the lesson and re-watching the videos and playing around with it, it finally clicked. The way that Matt taught was so easy to understand. I will definitely be doing the SheCodes Plus React! I enjoyed it so much that now I'm thinking about a career change. Thank you!
Matt and the SheCodes staff are wonderful! The Intro to Coding Workshop was awesome -- Matt does a wonderful job teaching each lesson, all the while, keeping them short and sweet. I enjoyed each challenge to practice what was taught in the lesson, and the homework each week was a great way to bring everything together for mastery.
I really enjoyed the workshop and the staff is super friendly and they are always helping the students with questions about the challenges and homework. It is a very fun workshop and easy to accomplish for begginers.
The videos are easy follow and everything is well explained. I have failed C++ back in college so I wasn't sure if I could do this, but now I feel like I can.
I enjoyed this workshop so much! For once, I finished a coding course online, UNDERSTOOD the material, and thoroughly enjoyed what I was learning. Matt has done an excellent job of combining different learning styles into his workshop lessons by utilizing lecture, demonstration, and visuals. He keeps the lessons short and to the point (anywhere from two to 12 minutes per video), giving you just what you need to get started and complete the challenges, but also keeps you curious to research more. All the resources you need (code cheat sheets, color palettes, professional documentation, etc.) are made available to you and the Slack support is fantastic and quick to respond if you get stuck. After you have submitted your challenges, you can immediately view the suggested solution (he reminds us there isnβt just one way of doing things π) to review against your own submission. His site is also very user-friendly, easy-to-navigate, and the courses and material are well-structured, so you donβt get so overwhelmed with the material. Best part, even though there are weekly deadlines, you can work through the weekβs lessons at your own pace. The 3 Week Workshop is worth it if you are the slightest bit interested in coding at all!
The workshop was absolutely amazing! Matt and his team did an amazing job - this workshop was very beginner-friendly, and I'm proud of the progress I have made in the past few weeks.
This was very challenging material, but Matt made it easy to understand, relatable, and fun. I am so glad I did this workshop and highly recommend it!
As someone with absolutely no experience in coding, this was a great way to 'dip my toes in' and see if web development is something I'd be interested in pursuing. Would absolutely recommend to anyone with even a passing interest in learning more about coding!

However, I was able to quickly learn each lesson and shock myself with what I could do & create! I am so proud of myself and can't wait to learn more! Working in tech, a lot of the information I learned during the Introduction to coding class was familiar! However, the reasoning behind why things looked like they did and how they operated was something that was new to me! I finally understood the logic and the magic behind the scenes. The knowledge I gained from SheCodes will help me so much within my current career. I no longer will be nervous and unsure when speaking about a piece of code with my developers. While I'm not a pro, I now have a shared understanding of the language and can be an even better partner to my developers and engineers moving forward! Looking forward to continuing my education with SheCodes in the near future!
For the longest time, I've been intimidated to learn to code. SheCodes makes it fun to learn and rewarding knowing what you are capable of. Matt Delac does an excellent and thorough job of explaining how to do things. I am excited to continue this path in my career.

For the past two years, I've been unable to get past learning HTML. I thought it was me but I surprised myself by remaining consistent. Matt & SheCodes turned me into a success story within 3 weeks. I can't wait to move onto SheCodes Plus React. Yup...I'm going for the GOLD :)
I enjoyed learning how to add extensions on VSCode. All the tricks Matt had were cool. I used Codecademy before and I did not feel like I learned how to combine HTML CSS and Javascript. Highly recommend!

As an architectural engineer by trade, I decided to take a leap and expand my knowledge of coding and software engineering. I had very little coding experience in college and what I did learn was pretty outdated (MATLAB and things of that sort), so joining this workshop was a bit intimidating at first. To my surprise, this workshop has not only been easy to understand, but it's been quite fun as well! I feel like I've learned so much and I intend to continue on my journey of coding. I highly recommend this workshop for anyone looking to learn the basics. It is definitely worth the investment!

I always knew that some type of coding or computer science experience would help me achieve great accomplishments in my STEM career, but for the longest time, it was the only field of science that I did not explore because of how intimidating I thought it was! The instructor and this course made my first coding experience fun, insightful, and definitely less intimidating.
I thoroughly enjoyed the structure this coding workshop provided. Matt is very inspiring and helped me to see how html, css and javascript work individually and also how they come together. I feel more confident in myself and intend to enroll in SheCodes Plus next week! Try SheCodes! Great value for an even greater skill!
This class definitely exceeded my expectations in the best possible way. I started this class in lockdown and then suddenly got pushed back into work and had to find a new balance. I'm not gonna lie, the work is a lot especially if you're a noob like me..but if you have the time, you do your research and your homework you can get it done. I work full-time, care for an essential worker, and still find the time to put the work in. Simply put, if you want something done you will make it happen. Period. Matt does a greater job in covering material in the weekly work-course and taking notes never hurt nobody! Shout-outs to Lexi in customer service and Capitan tutor Joao Lopez for their patience and assistance throughout this journey. I will be unable to finish the series but that is only because I have classes at GVSU in the fall, otherwise, I would take this class all the way. Thank you SheCodes!
I am an accountant and graduate student by day and a newbie coder by night. My journey started a few weeks ago when a colleague challenged me to learn how to code. Up until that day I had always perceived the goal as too difficult and unobtainable for me, but that all changed when I stumbled upon a SheCodes advertisement on Instagram. Thank goodness I did because before that I had researched online and felt overwhelmed by the thousands of programs that can range anywhere from $99 to over $15,000. I took the free 60-minute webinar first and immediately was pulled in by Matt Delac's teaching style, the format of the course and how easy it was to follow along. The first week I felt just a tad bit intimidated, but each lesson really takes you step by step and I can tell that I have begun to absorb the information. It's exciting to wake up in the morning and feel eager to learn something new. This class is perfect for anyone with little to no background of coding like myself and also provides an amazing opportunity to network with like-minded women who are also looking for a challenge. I give SheCodes, 10 out of 10 and I cannot wait to start the next workshop, SheCodes Plus React. I went as far as starting a GoFundMe to get the cash to be able to take the next course. I've never felt more motivated!

I knew very little about coding before taking this course but I was surprised at how accessible Matt made it. If you are interested in coding but are intimidated by it, I highly recommend this course! You cover a lot in 3 weeks, but the exercises really help cement what's covered in the lessons. This course gave me the confidence to know that I can do this, and if I can, you can!

These 3 weeks have been wonderful! I was looking for courses to really get me started on my coding journey and the 3 week Bootcamp was perfect! I'm so glad I started with SheCodes.io and now I'm ready to continue my journey to becoming a Full-Time Programmer!
I tried the 3 week coding workshop. SheCodes was super comprehensive, fun, and interactive. I loved being able to get help from other students and looking back at videos for assistance. Definitely interested in continuing to code after this lesson!

I came into the 3-week online workshop not knowing anything about code. However, the lessons were clear and not hard to follow. I love how I was able to work on each lesson at my own pace. Matt is a good instructor and he shows each step visually, which I found very helpful! This workshop has shown me how fun coding can be! I recommend this workshop for those who have little to no experience in coding, you'll learn so much!
SheCodes Intro Workshop has been so incredibly informative. It's a great place to start if you're looking to get into code or even curious if code is for you. I highly recommend starting here. I tried the self-taught route but I definitely needed guidance in where to start and which direction to go after starting. I'm so grateful SheCodes came along. I've already introduced some friends whose current careers have nothing to do with programming and they have also decided to try this workshop.
SheCodes was an amazing 3 week course! I learned coding years ago when I was in school and this was the perfect refresher course to get me back familiar with the world of coding. The lessons are easy to follow along with and still leave room to learn on your own. I feel confident in the basics and can't wait to learn more!
I've taken a front end web development course several years ago and haven't had much time to practice after graduating. Coding is really like learning a new language: if you don't use it, you'll lose it. Shecodes offered me the perfect refresher on HTML, CSS and JS. I did feel the material was very high level and went a little too fast, but the videos were short and digestible to keep you focused and interested.
I really liked this workshop. It reinforced concepts I'd learned during my time as an undergraduate as a Computer Science major. I never gotten the chance to be formally taught JavaScript, so it was nice that this course introduced it. I want to become a front-end developer and I believe this online workshop will give me the knowledge I need to be able to get a job I plan on continuing on to SheCodes Plus React

The course was beyond my expectations. Matt and the SheCodes team created a great learning experience. This course is super helpful to have a nice start in coding without getting too intimidated and providing a good amount of practice. Definitely looking forward to the next modules.

I had always seen coding as something that was too late to start at this point in my life. With SheCodes, I now understand that is not true! SheCodes allows you to build on your dedication and hard work to achieve the basics and anything else you might want. SheCodes is the place to start for those who have been putting off learning to code. I feel confident that I know have the tools to better understand the resources available in the coding community.
I was debating doing the workshop at first. I didn't know anything about coding. Now I feel very proud of what I can do and can't wait to expand my skills further. 10/10 would recommend!
Matt's style of teaching is so easy to follow, and the short videos combined with mini challenges made it super easy to learn how to code a basic landing page. I was unsure if coding was something I could understand or do, and after this course I know that I can do even more!
This was a great class for beginners like myself! The videos were easy to follow and the challenges, homeworks, and project really allowed me to be hands on and implement what I learned. It was great to have the ability to go back and reference the videos if I got stuck. I did find that the course took more than 15 hours as stated in the course description (at least for myself - a beginner who was taking lots of notes along the way, viewing videos more than once if I got stuck, etc.). This workshop taught me the very basic fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and has set me off to further explore the world of coding and learn more skills! Also, I can't say enough good things about the SheCodes team and the Slack channel that comes along with this workshop - the team was always super quick to respond to any questions I had about the course and the Slack channel provided great support!Β
I am feeling stuck in my career as an Event Planner. SheCodes found me on Instagram so I decided to check it out. Thanks to Matt and his teaching techniques, I was surprised at how quickly I caught on. I highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking to develop a new skill or interested in adventuring into a new career in technology.

I thoroughly enjoyed the three week workshop and I have told so many of my friends about my experience in hopes of getting them interested too. I had no coding experience before this and I work in a totally different field than web development. The material wasn't hard to understand and I think that in the near future I would really like to advance my skills further!

My SheCodes experiences was amazing! The workshop was super easy and user friendly. Coding can be intimidating, but Matt explains each lesson clearly and the challenges are easy to do. If you're stuck with a challenge, someone from the SheCodes team is always willing to help. Before SheCodes my experience with coding was only through Myspace and Tumblr. This workshop is a great foundation if you're curious about coding and would like to learn coding. Thank you Matt for creating this workshop for women. Now I'm confident that I have a chance in the tech world among the men. I can't wait to use what I've learned in the workshop and apply it my next job.

It was a great experience. I like puzzles and when something didn't go the way I expected, it was fun figuring out what was wrong.
I've never learned how to code before. Doing the SheCodes workshop was a great decision that I made for the 1st step on my coding journey. There were times I was frustrated and a little frightened because of the unknown, but those are the moments when I believe I learned the most. I believe it is true that anyone can learn to code. You have to be patient and not give up. You have to keep at it, keep trying, ask for help when you need it. Coding teaches you how to be a problem solver and that can be the most rewarding part. I have recommended this class to others. I love that it is a learning platform just for women. Thank you, Matt, for your contribution to closing the gender gap between men and women in coding. Most lessons have easy-to-follow instructions, but there are times you have to search for the answer on your own. That can be frustrating, but it is extremely gratifying when you finally figure it out!
I truly enjoyed taking this class. What I appreciated most was the pace. I didn't feel rushed and as each week progressed, I felt even more comfortable. I enjoyed doing the final project. This class is a great first step in becoming a web developer. I look forward to the next workshop.
Being a hands on learner, it helped to go by step by step with Matt as he was explaining things. Repetition is key!! Definitely was challenging at times and frustration can be part of growing process but in a healthy way. Once you begin to get the hang of it, the learning process becomes easier. You'll feel accomplished! I was super pleased with the end result!

I didn't realize as a content development professional and an OG MySpace enthusiasts, that I knew how to do a lot of these tasks, just without the correct terminology. 2020 has been hard. This Intro to Coding workshop was not. I had a blast and enjoyed learning how to build a cool website!
SheCodes Plus is what I needed to gain the confidence to pursue a career in front-end developing. Matt is an awesome teacher who is thorough and honest. I really enjoyed building the final project and I feel that my knowledge is solid and earned. I have been interested in coding for a while but I have always been thrown off by the costs of bootcamps online, and the worry of not having any computer science experience. After reading through the website and attending the free coding class, I was super excited about the opportunity to learn in an affordable and judgement free environment. I was not disappointed! This workshop has been easy to follow, extremely educational, and fun to do. I don't think I've ever enjoyed working on a project so much. Matt's videos are short and to the point without feeling overwhelming. I will definitely be continuing on with the courses offered by SheCodes and cannot recommend these workshops enough!

I was asked to participate in the 3 Week SheCodes Workshop as a ladies group, enrichment activity. Although I had taken coding in secondary school, I knew this workshop would require more effort and focus than I typically possess. Thankfully, instructor Matt has a pleasant voice and clear delivery. The video lessons can be played and replayed at whatever speed suits your attention span. Weeks 1 and 2 each took a few full days for me to complete, leaving 2 weeks to space the final project. This is a self-paced workshop, but be aware of deadlines. I found the lessons were best absorbed and challenges easier to complete, when I reproduced the instructional exercises along with the videos. The challenges, homework, and final project do require additional self-research and a bit of trial and error. This is where supplied resources like SheCodes Slack workspace and MDN web docs come in handy. I would recommend this workshop only to the person who has the time, budget, interest and motivation to build foundational coding skills.
I never thought I would make it this far into coding. This workshop was extremely helpful. With the skills I have now, I feel confident that I can one day become a web designer!

This is the perfect beginner's course. You literally don't need to have any coding background to get started. I would recommend enrolling in the SheCodes-Plus or SheCodes-React. SheCodes Workshop is very easy however, it doesn't teach you all the required skills to really be set off on your own.
I really enjoyed learning the basics of coding in this 3-week workshop. Matt was able to break things down into snippets that make it easy to digest. I don't feel too much pressure on time even with a full-time job. I was an absolute beginner before starting this and now I'm proud to be able to build a simple web page. I still have much to learn, I know this barely scratched the surface but overall I had so much fun learning and that's the most important part.π―

I love the percentage of completion each lesson shows and how there's mini challenges I needed to upload for them. They were engaging and bite-sized enough where I didn't feel overwhelmed.
