SheCodes Coding Workshop Reviews

This workshop helped me learn so many helpful tools for creating responsive websites, which is currently an in-demand skill these days. With so many mobile users, it's so important to ensure websites look good and work well on mobile devices. I learned how to use flexbox and grids to create websites that scale down perfectly for smaller screens. In addition to that, I learned some SEO tips for getting more visibility for a website. Instructions and lessons were clear, thorough and easy to understand. I'm so glad I took part in this workshop!

I highly recommend SheCodes if you're looking to get into Front End Development. I have now finished all the courses and I have learned so much knowledge. I plan to take even more advanced React classes, but I am so thankful for the foundation that SheCodes has created for me. I thought I'd never like coding, but the way the courses were designed spoke to my organizational style. I'm so happy I took these workshops! Now I have projects to add to my portfolio. Thanks again!

The Basics Add-On was a great way to continue practicing what I've learned. In the previous basics course, I tended to skip steps and try to do too much at once. I appreciate how the Add-On lessons are structured step-by-step to ensure I was able to complete and understand each part.

Before enrolling in SheCodes, I had little to no experience in coding. The SheCodes Basic Certification program was not only informative but also highly engaging. The mix of video lessons, coding challenges, and hands-on projects allowed me to grasp the concepts effectively. Great workshop!

I had to take some time away to work on home things after completing the shecodes basic course, but I was happy to see when I was finally able to start the add on section I was still able to follow along and understand the concepts so well and that is all thanks to Matt's teaching!

This course was a great next step in learning to code. It was a more challenging course which I enjoyed. Learning how to host you code on GitHub and Netlify also helped with tracking changes and fixing mistakes in my code. Looking forward to the next session!

I really enjoyed creating this website for my portfolio. I enjoyed how the lessons were broken up step by step and I could see it coming together after each lesson.

Being a novice in the field of coding, the lessons were informative and easy to follow. The assignments were fun and rewarding. I have already recommended Shecodes to several family members!

This workshop was definitely a challenge for me, but it was very educational and easy to follow. It was very interesting learning how to recreate a previous project but changing it up by creating it using React.

Other coding courses left me feeling like I was missing something. SheCodes explained the basics in a way that clicked well with me.

SheCodes Responsive was the most challenging course so far. It was very exciting learning all the aspects of making a website responsive as well as improving the SEO of the website. I can't wait to learn more from this team and start my React course!

A very interesting topic of study. Captivates from the very beginning. As you deepen your study, it seems that a sea of new information will swallow you up, but gradually, thanks to the teacher, everything becomes clear.

This course was challenging, but definitely well worth the time and effort.

I love SheCodes. I love how the classes are broken down into bite size sections so the material does not get so overwhelming. I think its great that every lesson has a challenge that lets you put into action what you just learned plus build from the skills learned in the previous lessons. I like that we submit each challenge as we go along. Love that feeling of accomplishment.

I love that each lesson built on the previous one. Reviewing HTML and CSS was a great refresher for me. JavaScript has definitely been more challenging, and I'm going to continue to build landing pages to practice what I have learned.

React can be very confusing when learning it for the first time, but Matt does a great job of explaining things!

I enjoyed working on this project. The most challenging part however happened to be the HTML tables.

I had been going through a rough patch since 2020. Due to life circumstances I wasn't able to get a job in the field where I initially got my degree on. I recently decided to go back to my roots, as web development was what I initially majored in college for. SheCodes has helped me gain back confidence in my skills and has shown me that this really is the right path for me. Thank you SheCodes!

I absolutely love this program. I have adhd and have a hard time sitting down for 3 hours straight to study. The lessons are divided into small chunks that are easy to understand. I am very excited to continue the workshop!

SheCodes Basics was an excellent introduction to the basics of coding with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The classes were easy to follow and I was happy that the challenges weren't just a copy/paste of earlier solutions - it was just tricky enough to make you think and problem-solve on your own. Basics for me was not hard because i am not new in coding but still have some gapes especially in css.

The Responsive Course does a great job outlining how to make your code look great on all devices. I really enjoyed working on the final project and found it very useful as I'm now using it for my job hunt.

I've taken multiple courses online trying to learn how to code. SheCodes is by far the best with the most interactive projects and well-explained videos. I highly would recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn coding.

I have thoroughly enjoyed these last 8 months or so learning all of what SheCodes has to offer me. While this React course was difficult at times, I feel it has helped me become a better coder. Matt has been an exceptional instructor and all the SheCodes staff have been excellent whenever a question arises. I just wish SheCodes had even more advanced React classes to take. I'm excited for the last add-on course and will be forever thankful to SheCodes for helping me find my passion in Front End Development!

After finishing SheCodes Basics and the SheCodes Basics Add-On project I knew I had to keep going. This project was super complex, but I enjoyed learning all the different components of integrating the API, adding all the functionalities, and even making it look aesthetically pleasing. This program has been great and I love that I have homework on actual due dates - a lot of online courses let you work as you go with zero due dates and I these dues dates have been keeping me in CHECK! I am here for the whole she-bang and doing every single workshop and add-on projects and Imma take a stab at the CHALLENGE PROJECTS!

This workshop for beginners was very easy to follow and I enjoyed learning about the basics of coding. I also liked how asking for help on Slack was very accessible and it created a sense of community for new coders like me.

I've already taken several workshops. I always learn with the SheCodes workshops. They challenge me to learn more, and allow me to do plenty of hands-on projects.
