The video material was super easy to follow. The workshop is the perfect introduction (as well as a refresher if it's been a while!) to HTML, CSS and JS - the information does not overwhelm you and it actually makes you excited to come back to it every week and complete the challenges/homework. The knowledge that you'll gain solely from the workshop may be limited, but it will be a solid foundation and once you get to the final project you'll realize how much you've actually learned as it will be sufficient to get you "in the zone" and allow you to have fun with it :) . The personal advice offered by the instructor is extremely useful as well. Definitely worth every cent. Excited to come back for more soon!

I knew absolutely nothing about coding or development before beginning this course; while I still wouldn't feel comfortable going out to apply for developer jobs, I am super confident in the foundation this first workshop has helped me to build. Before I started this course, the only coding knowledge I had was from my Myspace days LOL. This course has helped me feel way more confident in the choice to continue my journey into the coding world. I definitely recommend this course to anyone who has the desire to learn more about coding but also feeling super intimidated by it because you know nothing. The teaching style and pace were great with my busy schedule as well.

I learned so much from this workshop! One week in, I was asked to work on a website for work that was being built in WordPress. The skills I learned from SheCodes were immediately applicable and useful. I hope to take one of the longer workshops in the future.

SheCodes is extremely easy to use. The challenges after each lesson are great practice and provide excellent support when you go to complete your homework. The homework projects provide great references for the final project and Java Script is so much fun to learn!

Great course and easy to follow along! A lot of trial and error but it's always great to figure out an issue and see your code work. The help in Slack is a great resource to have when in a bind.

I finally found a course that explains JavaScript in a way that I understand! I like that you integrate it at the beginning with HTML and CSS, it doesn't feel quite as intimidating compared to learning it after mastering HTML and CSS.

I completed the introductory course and loved it! It definitely sparked my interest in coding, so I decided I would continue with the plus course. I can honestly say this was the hardest challenge I have even done. At times I got discouraged, but I kept at it and in the end I triumphed. Matt did an amazing job explaining all of the information. I would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in getting a start in coding. Matt is a wonderful instructor, and you will not be disappointed.

I took the three week SheCodes Workshop. I absolutely would recommend it to anyone who had little to no experience with coding, and also needed scheduling flexibility. Over the course of those three weeks I learned HTML, CSS, Javascript, and used Visual Studio Code. Each lesson was short in length, less than 10 minutes on average, and easily digestible. I really liked that I was able to move at my own pace while still having enough time throughout the week to meet our weekly deadline for assignments. There are several people available to help you with any errors in your code, and to answer any questions you may have about a lesson or concept. You cant beat it.
I've truly loved my time with SheCodes. I loved being surrounded by a community of strong, ambitious, women supporting one another during our journey. The lessons are broken down into short sessions, less than 10 minutes each, which make the information very easy to retain and understand. Each lesson challenge helps understand the concept as well as continue building your coding knowledge! I am so excited to continue exploring the world of coding!
I've tried a few times to learn code through other online courses and having a coworker teach me. This is the first time it made so much sense. Having the challenges made me feel like I was being productive and really helped me learn and understand the code I was writing. I had a great time and appreciate coding so much more!

Also, I loved the music radio station, it was fun to study while listening to it - something I would want to learn how to do myself! This was harder and easier than I expected it to be, honestly. :) Once I got the hang of things and acknowledged that I needed more review time with the lessons, it was much easier. If you're interested at all, I say take a class! It is very rewarding, fun, and the support you receive is great!

What I really like about SheCodes is that there's support for you on slack whenever you're stuck and also the weekly submissions that keep you on track.
I did not have high expectations for the 3-week workshop. I was trying to determine if I would continue to pursue Front end Development. To say I was surprised halfway through the first week is an understatement. The challenges are amazing. There is help available but they encourage you to do research prior to seeking assistance from them. I cannot wait to do another workshop.
This Workshop made me discover a new passion within me! I loved the bite sized lessons that were very educational without having to compromise other commitments in life. I enjoyed this course so much that I plan on pursuing a career in web development. I will be continuing my SheCodes journey with the React Plus workshop.

I joined SheCodes with no coding experience, in fact coding intimidated me but I wanted to change that and that's one of the reasons why I joined the workshop. It's very beginner friendly, I learned a lot and was not overwhelmed at all. I recommend to anyone wanting to learn a new skill.
Complete beginner here! I've tried and failed, start and stopped free coding workshops, and felt convinced I would never get the hang of it. I wasn't cut out for coding. Now, I'm sad it's going to be over! I had so much fun learning from Matt, the tools were amazing and the knowledge feels like a huge stepping stone for me! I was itching to get my two little girls to bed every night these past three weeks so that I could get to my challenges! The project was so fun, I finished it early :) I cannot recommend this enough.

I took a BIG FAT chance, by seeing an AD somewhere and jumped right into Shecodes because I loved what Shecodes stood for. I'm someone with limited experience and brand new to the field. Just to finally complete the final project and understand the language of coding has been SUPER rewarding for me. The structure of the class didn't always make sense in the beginning, but TRUST the process and the guidance. By the way, Matt's voice is sooooo soothing and easy to follow that I was constantly re-playing his videos without losing focus.
I loved how flexible the program was with time and levels of interactions. As someone who prefers to learn on my own I felt like I had enough resources to reach out if i needed help but also challenged at time same time.

SheCodes is a great way to start learning how to code with ZERO knowledge. I came with a background in E-Commerce, curious to learn what goes into making a website. My education experience is actually in Social Work, so I was definitely intimidated to go into learning something completely different than my previous education experience. SheCodes makes it easy to learn coding at your own pace. They don't walk you through EVERY little thing, but encourage you to do your own research at times during the course. There is an awesome community that helps you with your questions along the way. I did the 3 week course, and am highly contemplating upgrading to the advanced courses. I would recommend it to anybody who feels that coding can be a little daunting, and doesn't know where to start. It's a great tool for the price.
SheCodes Plus was just what I was looking for in a coding workshop. It's a great entry into learning vanilla javascript and how to host your own website! The weather project that I worked on over the course of the program really helped cement all of the new techniques I was learning each week. I look forward to learning even more in SheCodes React :)
