I am very excited to be a part of the SheCodes Coding Workshops. The material and presentation style went above and beyond my expectations. I have a strong foundational understanding of Javascript, HTML, and CSS in this short yet intense timespan.

Wanted to learn the basics of coding to help open up more doors in tech. Every career woman in tech should take this class because it's not too heavy of a workload but you still learn so much in the 3 weeks.
SheCodes was the first coding workshop that I've ever taken, and I'm so glad that I did. Coding has been one of my hobbies for years. I wanted to take a course that would hold me accountable for following through to the finish so that I could really strengthen the skills that I had and learn some new ones along the way. I really enjoyed the format and the resources that were shared. This course set me up to be accepted into an immersive boot camp starting in a few weeks and was a huge contributor to making a career change.
I never realized how much I would enjoy learning to code, as it is a skill I thought beyond my ability to learn. However, SheCodes makes the content accessible and engaging.

I am so happy that I continued the advanced SheCodes Workshops. I experienced a lot of highs and lows during SheCodes Plus and I am so thankful to the SheCodes team on Slack for helping with all my questions. I'm so proud of myself for creating a functioning weather app. Four months ago I knew nothing about coding and now I have the skills to write code and I hope to continue growing as a new coder. Even though I just finished the beginner workshop, I feel confident with the knowledge I've gained in being able to understand the basics of the languages taught. And this is huge since I come from a zero-coding experience background. I'm a very hands on learner, and so appreciate the homework and assignments that allowed me to put what I was learning to use.

Great course. This really boosted my confidence. I like how the lessons built on each other, and the challenges were not meant to mimic the lesson plan rather it was meant to challenge problem-solving.
This workshop was a great introduction to coding! I never expected to learn so much from 0 to the final assignment in only 3 weeks. The lessons and challenges are intense, but they fit perfectly in a busy agenda.

This is a big testimonial because i went through a lot in shecode plus, so many emotions,i was patient for once in my life, i cried, i was confused and then happy after the code i worked, Shoutout to the instructors eg Lexi and Joao, there are the best instructor that Matt ever employed, so helpful and they go out to make sure you understand everything, i will definitely recommend Shecode to anybody and everybody. Prior to this course, I had no knowledge on how to code anything. The course itself was easy to digest, the staff and community were very accommodating, & I even got some 1:1 time with Matt! All in all, I'm super excited about where this new skill set can take me & hope to continue on. Thanks SheCodes! The workshops at SheCodes were super easy to follow for a complete beginner! The way Matt explains how each element functions to create a webpage is comprehendible and the videos are short enough that you can fit them within your work schedule. The challenges were interesting and really give you the hands on experience needed for truly grasping the concepts learned.
This workshop was awesome as an introduction to web development It was well structured and well paced with an open and friendly atmosphere. Great content ,clearly explained with live examples and great progression. i feel much more confident that i understand coding and what it does thanks shecodes!.
SheCodes helped me to discover a lot more confidence in my job. After the initial 3-week course, I feel that I understand how the basic coding languages speak to one another in a way that will help me to better understand and communicate with my current team.

The knowledge and confidence I've gained in coding in such a short amount of time is truly amazing. I can't recommend this program enough! I was previously a restaurant General Manager before COVID-19 and then laid off. I decided to make the best of a bad situation and learn coding as a total beginner. I am confident that I will be able to get into the tech industry with what I've learned from SheCodes.
Great intro to coding that challenges you to go beyond what is taught in the lessons. What I particularly love about SheCodes is the support on Slack and seeing other women on the same coding journey as me!

I cannot recommend SheCodes enough! I had been on the fence for over a year about whether or not I wanted to give coding a try, but with every other program I either could not work it into my budget, or it simply didn't feel like the right fit. Then SheCodes falls into my lap! Matt is a wonderful teacher, and I had so much fun with this particular format of learning and community, and it finally gave me back some confidence as I committed to challenging myself and learning this new skill set. I consider myself primarily right-brained, with no major natural inclination towards the technical and analytical, and this felt really stimulating and satisfying for me. If you are a creative, do not let coding scare you off! There's room for absolutely anyone who's curious enough to try it. I can't wait to jump into either SheCodes Plus or SheCodes Plus React asap! I very much enjoyed the course. I learned a lot and think it's a great introduction to coding.
An excellent introduction to basic coding concepts with small challenge tasks that give you enough information to get started and see how different languages work together without overwhelming with technical jargon. Homework projects consolidate the work done in the week and encourage you to research solutions and build your knowledge. This is genuinely a great course for beginners to start building understanding, skills, and confidence.
I love this coding workshop! The videos and lessons are clear and easy to understand. I really like how it is setup. We learn a little bit, then practice, then apply everything learned that week in a larger homework. Then at the end of the course we applied everything we learned into a project. I liked that we got to decide what we wanted to do for the project.
I loved this course! It was affordable and met me where I am with my coding skills. I feel that it taught me the basics that I need to know to continue building on my knowledge of coding. The instructor was thorough and clear. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who is looking to get started with learning the basics of code.

I had so much fun learning to code! I was able to complete this course at my own pace and create a beautiful final project, all while achieving my real estate license, an associates degree and working! If you're even remotely interested in programming and development, I highly recommend you give this course a shot--you'll be surprised by how much you'll learn in such a short period of time!
It was a great project to work on for someone new to coding. Learning more Javascript and trying out some Bootstrap styling for CSS were two of my favorite aspects. I do think it is very tricky to figure out how to set up Git on a Chromebook and it would be great if future versions of this class make it clearer for those using cloud-based systems.

This was my first coding workshop that I have attended since I started my coding journey and I learned so much in the past 3 weeks of taking this course. I have no regrets about enrolling in this workshop and I'm considering in enrolling in SheCodes Plus React workshop.

This workshop is amazing for beginners like me who didn't know absolutely anything abut coding. The program is carefully designed for you to learn how to use your tools properly with clear instructions. I have yet a lot to learn but this has been definitely a big step into the coding world!

So happy I found this course. I have been interested in coding for a few years now, and what better time to learn than a pandemic. I think the hardest part of starting any new skill is not knowing where to begin. SheCodes makes it easy. You receive deadlines, easy submission portals, hands on tutors (and other students), as well as easy to follow along videos. As stated, deadlines are given and encouraged, but because of the pandemic I found myself slipping behind, which was no problem as you're able to submit your work when you can. I also found the fact that the courses are broken up into 3 sections (beginner, moderate, advanced), to help with those who want a beginners course, or are seriously considering SheCodes for a career. I've tried other online courses (such as code academy) but they didn't offer the detail and personalized help that SheCodes provides). I can't wait to continue this skill through the more detailed and longer courses and highly recommend this website to others!
I've tried various methods of learning to code, including Youtube and free tutorial websites. Nothing really 'stuck' for me until I tried SheCodes. I absolutely LOVE the format of SheCodes. The material is laid out in a way that makes sense and easily builds on top of previous topics, and Matt is great at explaining things! SheCodes made coding click for me, and I'm exited to continue on to the next workshop! I HIGHLY recommend SheCodes to anyone who is just starting out.
I really enjoyed getting an inside look at the world of coding. This was a great start to my learning journey in coding. I enjoyed being able to work at my own pace and have support should I need it.
I have absolutely loved every class I've taken through SheCodes. The Introduction to Coding workshop gave me the confidence to pursue SheCodes Plus, where I have strengthened my front end development skills. I had trouble organizing my schedule due to the consequences of this pandemic, however, the SheCodes community is flexible and I never felt rushed or stressed. I would recommend this course to absolutely everyone.
The workshop is a great introduction to coding. By myself, I was quite stuck; before finding SheCodes, I would have learned the material from free materials without actually putting it into effect. It's been impressed upon me through this course that just reading about coding isn't a way to learn. This course helped to give me direction by setting goals, as well as provide insight from other people's projects. I wish to continue to learn more!
It's incredible how much I've learned in such a short amount of time and at my own pace. As a visual learner, being able to go back and rewatch videos or look at source code was extremely helpful.
I have no background in coding nor anything like it, and I am not tech savvy in a general sense. However, participating in this course that offers step by step guidance throughout the whole process, has allowed me to tap into a skillset that was very underdeveloped for me. SheCodes is changing my mindset on how we can develop skills that we never saw in ourselves.
I loved the experience of going from just some basic HTML knowledge to being able to build a pretty good looking page with some interactivity in under three weeks! The videos are clear and the challenges make the lesson stick. I also love that you can pace yourself however you want as you move through the videos.
It was so much fun to get a first impression of coding with the 3 weeks beginners workshop! The videos are super easy to follow and the project in the end is very rewarding, as you can try out your skills on a topic that interests you. I will definitely recommend it to my friends! Growing up I did not engage anything STEM related and now I regret it! Learning to Code gave me a powerful sense of wow I could actually do this! Keep in mind I have no experience with technology, I currently am a Teacher Assistant, and after taking this workshop and learning from Matt I'm thirsty to learn more about coding. If you're ready to learn a new skill to advance or start a new career, take a stab at coding. I was hesitant at first, but now I'm hooked!
SheCodes gave me the confidence to say I know the basics of computer programming. I learned more in 3 weeks than I did in a year long high school class.
The workshop was great! After finishing the 3 week workshop, I was able to see through the lenses of a developer and understand the foundation pretty good for an absolute beginner. Can't wait to learn more. π

I was going through a crisis where I felt like I graduated in the wrong major, I knew I wasnβt passionate for it and so I wanted to give coding a try since itβs something that has always been in the back of my mind. I didnβt want to end up doing another 2-4 years in school and other workshops are very expensive, Iβm currently unemployed so when I found shecodes, I got everything I was looking for. They helped me find my passion in this, they helped me with the price and everything about this course is just amazing.
I have really enjoyed the program so far! SheCodes makes it easy to learn the information each week - especially on your own time! I have learned a lot and cannot wait to learn more.

I enrolled in SheCodes because I wanted to learn more about web development. The course was so engaging, and I learned a ton. I can't believe within three weeks I was able to code a functional website. The instructor is very concise and makes the topics interesting and fun.

This was the first time I've ever coded anything, EVER! SheCodes makes it so easy to learn though. I especially appreciated the real time support. My favorite part is that I can do this at home on my own time, however and whenever I choose. Most classes I've seen offered have set times & require participation in live classes, even online. This worked much better for my lifestyle & schedule. This was a great way to introduce me to coding, I can't wait to learn more!

I signed up for SheCodes because I constantly saw it on my Instagram feed. At first, I was reluctant to sign up but in the end, I am glad I did. Matt has a different teaching approach but he explains the fundamentals behind coding very well. This 3-week course barely touches every subject on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript but it has motivated me to continue on my coding journey.
I enjoyed all three weeks of the workshop. I was able to learn the fundamentals to continue coding. I'm looking forward to learning more in the upcoming weeks.
This workshop breaks down coding in a way that makes it less intimidating to beginners. A lot of coding bootcamps that I researched were not affordable nor flexible. I love that I am still able to work my full time job and further my education!

I LOVE SheCodes!!! SheCodes made coding not only approachable but fun. I have a very crazy schedule and with its teaching style and method, SheCodes made the learning process flexible and informative. I enjoyed it so much that after the first lesson I was already calling my mom, Aunts, and church members telling them about it.
I joined the SheCodes bootcamp as a refresher and to add more tools to my tool chest. Matt is a great teacher and more importantly both he and his staff are really involved with the students. This isn't a trait that most CEO's possess nor do they create a company culture that reflect those same values. You can connect with Matt on LinkedIn and he will actually respond and answer your Inmail message. The key to success as with anything is you get out what you put in. With that in mind, be sure to ask lots of questions, participate in Slack, and push yourself and you'll be amazed what you can accomplish with commitment. My rating is based on Matt's ability to teach, how the company serves their students and how much I believe a beginner can benefit. Good Luck!
