SheCodes has taught me applicable skills that I'll be sure to utilize in the future. I feel empowered to learn subject-matter in a primarily male-dominated field.
SheCodes is wonderful! The videos are clear, well structured, and organized. It's also an asynchronous class - you can learn and work on your homeworks/projects whenever convenient for you. I finished the three-week coding class in a week and was surprised by how much knowledge I gained already! I'm excited to unfold what the next class has for me. Highly recommended!
Learning to code for the first time ever from scratch is a very intimidating thing. However, Matt and the support team provide such simple teaching and great knowledge to get you through the course. I never realized how much I love coding until now. I am excited to take coding to the next level and apply it to my career!

The only time I have ever coded was with myspace and even that was only copy and paste lol. it's cool to now understand what the codes mean as well as how things function. This workshop is useful and easy to understand. Our teacher Matt did a great job of explaining everything as well as show many examples.

This course cleared up all of my "what is that?", "what does this do?", "what does this mean?"...."what?!?!?" feelings. I now understand what coders are referring to on stackoverflow, github, and reddit when I search for a term, a way to do something, or when I'm generally curious. Overall this course flows at an excellent pace, is broken down into little snippets, and sprinkles in various little surprises here and there. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to start somewhere without feeling overwhelmed by scattered, never-ending information and resources on the internet. And on top of that, I was able to find a lot of interesting things outside of the scope of this course from the suggestions in each video. I really appreciated all the help on the slack channel, too!
SheCodes was an amazing workshop! I will continue with SheCodes Plus in the summer. I learned a lot and found my passion for coding. The radio really got me through the assignments, and I just got lost in it all! I will continue to learn more and gain a career as a front end and back end developer!

Since it was my first ever coding workshop (I literally didn't have any prior knowledge), I don't know where else to compare to it, but I enjoyed this workshop SO MUCH! I once thought it would have been wonderful if I was explained more (I was sometimes asked to do what the video didn't teach me), but I guess Matt, the instructor, intended to train us in searching/googling skills -because you would not always have someone to help you around and therefore google will be your best friend when coding; I was also able to learn and find A LOT of interesting things by accident when trying out new properties:) Before this workshop, I was just a high school sophomore who liked design and was slightly interested in coding, but now I see a new path and possibility opened to me; my dream job is a frontend developer now! To the most-valuable-3-weeks that has changed my future and life, Thank you!
This was my first time trying to learn how to code and I really enjoyed and understood the instructions Matt presented. I really benefitted from the Slack community that SheCodes provides. The videos and challenges Matt provided were very helpful. I am excited to continue onto the next workshop.
I think it is important to link with a teacher that teaches at your pace. I have tried a few different programs and didn't understand what I was being taught. However, at SheCodes, I have found that Matt teaches in a way that is simplified and understandable. I have shared this link with 5 friends already who are interested and I say "he teaches to the point, to get this, do this". That is the type of teaching that I learn from. I also found Slack to be useful when I am stuck as other programs do not have that option.
I had a great time doing this program. It has helped me start building a foundation in coding and get a sense of how it is to use real developer tools. I enjoyed doing the challenges, and they helped me feel I was progressing.
This class was well organized in structure and content. Matt was an excellent instructor and extremely clear in describing different elements. I've learned a lot from this workshop and I look forward to more workshops with SheCodes!
It was challenging. I manage to get my project done. Adding the last details to my project was fun because it let me use my creativeness.
If you are looking to venture into the world of coding, this is a highly recommended workshop. Over three weeks you learn a tremendous amount of information about HTML, CSS, and Javascript. The SheCodes platform was user-friendly and it created a great learning environment that challenged me to get out of my comfort zone. An added bonus, is being in a community of like-minded individuals which was supportive and uplifting. The instructor and staff are knowledgeable and are quick to provide assistance when you are stuck. Overall, it was a great experience!

As a beginner, am so glad I chose SheCodes. The beautifully laid out and well-organized modules as well as the challenging home works helped me learn and enjoy the basics of coding . This workshop is a helpful starting point. I liked being able to speed up the course or slow it down, while still being accountable to practice and submit work. Combined with the flexibility and permanent access to lessons after completion, it's incredibly useful.

This was a great introductory class. I was worried when I signed up for it, since I am working full time. However, the homework and classes were straight forward and can be completed on the weekends!
I've loved using SheCodes! I really like the short lessons and then having the opportunity to work on my own coding to apply what I'm learning. I especially like the tools they have taught us to use and the way the lessons built on each other.

I found the SheCodes 3-week self-paced class to be really easy to fit into a very busy life. I took this class alongside a friend to have some accountability and it's been great to be able to bounce ideas off and work with each other. If I didn't have this, there is a huge Slack channel of folks to reach out to and collaborate with, which is awesome! I loved the material we learned and the freedom of the last assignment. I'd recommend this to anyone who is code-curious and has been waiting to take a plunge and make the commitment. You can do it! We can all do it!
I tried a few other "learn how to code" websites. I frustrated immediately on a few and learned through a free trial on a few others. This website has been detailed, informative and super helpful! I started knowing very little and feeling very overwhelmed! It wasn't until after I watched a ten-minute video of him building a website and me able to follow along with the majority of the steps, that I realized I didn't feel overwhelmed at all! This course is great for women just getting into coding to see if you like the process!
It's been a great experience! The videos and homework match nicely and Matt is an effective coach to guide and inspire along the way. I'm looking forward to the next series!

The workshop was very well structured. Each lesson was challenging but also very engaging and easy to follow. As someone who has never coded before, it was really rewarding to see my final project showcase what I've learned in a short amount of time! βΊοΈ

This class was a breeze to do all online. The videos were easy to follow and kept learning interesting. SheCodes made expanding my technical skillset in the limited time I had available feel easy.
Just completed the 3 week workshop! I love that the lessons are done during your own time. This workshop was a lot of fun and Matt was a great instructor! I would definitely recommend this workshop to anyone interested in learning code.
I won't say this round of SheCodes was easy but it is definitely satisfying at the end! Getting to see an app work, that you built and understand how it works, is really exciting. I can't wait to share what I learned and keep tinkering around with APIs.

I had a lot of fun on this! I thoroughly enjoyed this course and learning how to build this app from scratch. The pacing of the lessons allows you to build up on your knowledge and practice new concepts straight away.

I'm not going to lie, I was very worried when I signed up for this workshop that I would not be able to catch on and overall was very intimidated that I'd gotten in way over my head. To my relief and surprise, the modules were easy to comprehend and follow along with! Matt really explains everything so well. It boosted my confidence when it came time to do the challenges and I was even motivated to do additional research and pursue this more. I'm so glad I invested in this workshop.
Great class ! I learned a lot in week 1, I wish there was a bit more coding lessons in week 3.. Week 3 felt more like a recap of the other 2 weeks.

SheCodes is a great beginners course!
Overall, it was very informative, but I mistakenly thought this was an at-your-own-pace course and didn't realize there were actual course deadlines! This would make it harder to recommend in my friend circles, because most of us at the moment have very erratic schedules and so committing to deadlines is difficult. However, the pace at which it moves is really excellent for a beginner, because it allowed me not to get to overwhelmed and to take tasks one step at a time.
I truly enjoyed this program! I am excited to continue on to the intermediate and advanced portions!
The course was easy to follow and not too hard to understand each concept. It took quite some time to fully apply the concept of each element into real coding. In my experience, I only took the very beginner course and I already had to do more research in order to get to the right code. Would definitely recommend SheCodes for women who are interested in a new experience that could lead to a new career path.

Excellent introductory class
I've tried so so many courses to try to get into coding and ended up quitting everyone of them. This was the first time I felt that a course was actually focused on my understanding of the material and felt so supported by the classes and the solution videos. 10/10 highly recommend. I am hoping to start the next level soon1

I had a lot of fun and learned a ton during this 3 week intro coding class. It was a perfect introduction; I never felt overwhelmed. Now, I'm interested in pursuing one of the longer courses to expand my knowledge and experience.
I had been searching for a coding course that was easy to follow and stumbled across SheCodes. I love that SheCodes allows you to work at your own pace. Managing work, family, extra curriculars and life.. I needed flexible deadlines but a course that provided structure. SheCodes provided that and more. Tutorials and challenges are efficient and challenges you to use resources outside of the class to complete your work. I feel great after completing the first course and can't wait to learn more!
I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to gain an understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Matt is very good at breaking down all the lessons into easily digestible content and then slowly builds upon the previous lesson until you have a more complete understanding of these dev tools. You will get out of this what you put into it, so I recommend really pushing yourself to implement all of the tools Matt gives you in ways that he DOESN'T teach and do more than the bare minimum to produce a valid solution. I know I'm only at the beginning of my coding journey, but I'm glad to have started it here. On to SheCodes Plus! βοΈ

Before enrolling in SheCodes, I studied coding alone, and while that was nice and definitely helped with this course, I needed the structure that SheCodes gave to fully maximize my learning capabilities. I was extremely intimidated by coding and didn't have much confidence in myself. When Matt explained that it was just like learning a language and that it could be rather creative, it put me at ease. 3 weeks ago, I had no idea where to begin, and now I want to continue and see how much further I can take this. He even influenced me on how to be a better teacher when I teach students how to use new educational computer programs via webinars. The way he walked us through it and broke everything down along with hands-on assignments was really great. Thank you so much! I hope to see you soon at the 4-month workshop.
