I am beyond happy I took courage and did this workshop. I was nervous because I didn't have any previous experience in computers or programming but Matt's way of teaching step by step was perfect for me. I'm a stay at home mom with three girls (8, 5, 2 years old) and the fact that I could do all the classes and challenges on my own time really helped a lot. I'm forever grateful for all that I've learned and can't wait to see what I will learn next and will be capable of after finishing the whole course. Thank you for all your support and guidance.
This was a great course! I did this with a friend and it was so fun doing these challenges together and helping each other out! The 3-week course was perfect for me between semesters and was a great tap into the tech world! Cant wait to put this on my resume!

I started this program knowing absolutely nothing. I wont lie and say this class wasn't challenging, it was. I am glad i took this class and I would be continuing my education with shecodes. Matt was a great instructor. The only thing I would say is that some of the challenges needed us to use a few things that wasn't taught yet and that was a little confusing and frustrating to me. Other than that, it was an amazing experience
I wanted to learn how to code, but I did not have the confidence to sign up and go to school. I started looking at different options/classes to take online, and when I found SheCodes, I was definitely intrigued! Not only is it tailored to women which is amazing but also the classes are so interactive and you learn so much! I have already recommended this to a couple of my girl friends and they will also sign up! Very excited for the future and be able to start working as a web developer! Wish me luck everybody! :)

SheCodes is absolutely a fantastic beginner friendly web-development class anyone can learn. I certainly recommend this workshop for anyone who interested in challenging and exploring new creativity crafts/ anyone in transition of a new career. By the way, Matt crafted the courses in a way that was effortless and uncomplicated for anyone to understand what they are learning. The courses are easy to comprehend and follow whilst being fun. I can't wait to begin my next course with SheCodes again as I am currently in career transitioning journey. Anyways, I highly recommend SheCodes workshops to anyone and everyone interested in coding.

I highly recommend SheCodes, because of how clear the instructions are. Matt takes you step by step, and makes everything a lot easier. I enjoyed learning to code, despite some frustrating times 😅 , and believe it's useful.

Shecodes has really helped my skills in coding. Did not know how to code at all but now I know how to do it. I can now complete my computer science degree thanks to SheCodes. I highly recommend women to taking this course because the industry is male dominated. I learned so much in 3 weeks I feel like a pro coder. This is one of the greatest experience I have had in my life time!
I took SheCodes Plus right after the first SheCodes workshop and really loved it. SheCodes was my first exposure to coding and it was fun to learn this new, challenging skill! As someone who was a complete beginner I couldn't recommend it more.

I've now taken the basic and the Plus course, and I love it! Happily continuing forward with React to keep adding to my coding toolkit :)
The class was well taught and well planned. I wish the refactoring lesson had an accompanying exercise, even though it is mentioned as more of a preview for future courses. Most HWs are a culmination of skills you have previously practiced in lessons and their accompanying challenge. Challenges, although not checked the way HW is checked, serve as wonderful stepping stones to the weekly HW and final project. Questions can be asked on Slack and answers are quickly received in less than a day. The class gives you tools for learning on your own in addition to using what you have been taught. This is an excellent course for those looking to dip their toes into the world of coding!

A pretty good workshop for breaking down the essential elements of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while also challenging you to find solutions on the web.
I think this a great class. The way the format it built it makes it easy to learn and navigate. I felt pretty strong in my knowledge ending the class.
SheCodes 3-week workshop exceeded my expectations. It is extremely well planned and engaging. The quality of the videos, the great interactive challenges and homework, made the material easy to follow and retain. I had a great experience with SheCodes. Working in the IT industry for a little over two years, I grew interested in learning about the fundamentals of web development; plus, I wanted to expand my skillsets and knowledge outside of my profession. SheCodes gave me a foundational understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavasScript that I know will benefit my career development and growth. The tutorials were helpful, and the homework did a great job at encompassing what we learned for each week. All in all, it was a wonderful journey!
SheCodes was a fantastic way of learning coding for anyone of any skill sets. I loved how collaborative and supportive the program was. The shift between watching videos and actively coding was so helpful and effective. I can't wait to take my next SheCodes workshop soon!

As someone who has learned basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in the past, this workshop was a great refresher for me and gave me the creative freedom to really put what I'd learned (and re-learned) into practice. The lessons were constructed in an organized, straight-forwarded manner, and summarized concepts clearly and simply. The assignments and projects were set up in a way that really had to make me think about what I'd learned and figure out where and how to implement it correctly. Throughout the course, I didn't feel like I was spoon-fed at all, and was able to gain a greater understanding of concepts despite having learned them before. Now, I'm feeling a lot more comfortable working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and and ready to move on and learn even more!
SheCodes is the perfect platform to learn how to code. I took the three weeks workshop and I highly recommend it. It is fun, dinamic and very well structured. It helps you to get familiar with HTML, CSS and Javascript. If you want to know more about coding but don't know how to start, this is the perfect course!
I needed/wanted an intro to coding and this was a great way to dive in! It always sounded so intimidating, and now I have some experience, I have a great appreciation for the engineers I know! The videos were easy to follow, and I loved doing it on my own time.

SheCodes Plus was a real challenge for me after completing the SheCodes intro workshop (no surprise there, we did dive into Javascript functions! 🤯). As someone who has never written a line of code before taking these SheCodes workshops, I am proud of myself for finishing this course with a functional project to show for it. What I liked most about SheCodes is that it allowed me to move at my own pace. I hit some road blocks, not fully understanding certain concepts as they got more advanced and wishing I had more time to process the information. The team at SheCodes was gracious about deadlines, giving me the time I needed to complete my work, and whenever I got stuck, I was able to post in the Slack channel for help. The moment when things started to click for me while working on my project, I felt so empowered and capable. I'm inspired to continue learning and to see where this road may lead me!
SheCodes was a terrific way to introduce me to the world of coding. The videos made it so easy to follow along and the assignments were very manageable. I felt like I learned so much about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript within just a couple weeks!

I am finding this a good way to learn. I like the video, followed by challenges approach. I also like that we have to do some research as we go along. I feel it makes it more real world. The feedback and support is wonderful. I am happy to continue and have enjoyed it thus far.
There have been so many times in my career where knowing even a little HTML would have provided me with some guidance on tough design projects. After taking this intro course, I now have a better understanding of how my designs and animations are being used on the web in their final state. I hope to continue with SheCodes for as long as possible, and to keep adding these little +1 ups to my resume!

SheCodes is a great program to start learning HTML, CSS, and Javascript. The instructor, Matt, is easy to understand and does a great job explaining all of the new concepts. After each lesson, you complete a challenge and practice coding. The projects are fun and really test your knowledge of the material. I am happy so far and can't wait to continue with SheCodes plus!
This workshop was incredibly easy to follow. You don't have to wait for the homework assignment to be assessed to start on the next week of lessons. Really good for people that happen to catch on to things very fast!

SheCodes is AMAZING! I've been majoring in Computer Science for over a year now, and I've been recently interested in front-end development and learning a few new languages. The workshops were the perfect place for me to get started over winter break! Matt takes things step-by-step and zooms in to explain the nitty gritty of the code. He neither makes it too long and superfluous nor too vague; it is just the right amount of explanation! In addition, you have this whole team of women around the world standing with you as a united force learning these new coding languages -- all of which are there at your disposal to help guide you and learn with you through Slack chat. Professional help is also available-- and they truly do help with whatever question or trouble you may have! (This is a unique twist from undergraduate help in college... ahaha.) Videos can be fast-forwarded 30 seconds or rewound for 30 seconds. You can always go back to previous lessons. The best part? A review of the video and significant concepts are left underneath each video. I have never encountered such a helpful platform to help me get started. Matt flawlessly lets us grow wings throughout the lessons as well so that we can find outside coding help and experiment for when we won't have a helpful guide in our future coding adventures. I recommend SheCodes to any woman interested in learning front-end development (website-building) or coding in general. What are you waiting for?

I'm really pleased I decided to take the Plus course. I feel more confident using HTML, CSS and JavaScript and am really happy that I can now work professionally with Git and GitHub. Even if concepts seemed challenging at first, there was always someone on Slack to talk to if I got stuck. Can't wait to continue with the React course!
This is a course that gave me the chance to try something I never thought I would do. I found a new interest that may one day lead to a career. This gave me a new goal and inspires me to go in a direction I didn't think I would ever excel in. I enjoy watching the lectures and I look forward to the challenges, which is something I usually struggled with at school.

The SheCodes Plus Workshop series was a challenging but uniquely rewarding experience. As a beginner to coding, the idea of building my own website from scratch extremely extremely daunting at first. However, with the current state of uncertainty that seems to loom across the world, the weekly projects gave me something tangible to look forward to each week. I also have a new appreciation for every website I go on, now that I understand the time and effort that goes into building one. If you are considering these workshops even a little, DO IT! And you'll be happy that you did.

SheCodes was a great way to learn an introductory to coding. The 3-week college-class style format helped keep me on track and on-schedule with each lesson and the videos and projects made me practice each skill at a time and in easily digestible chunks. Overall, it was a fun and easy way to learn coding for the first time.
I absolutely loved SheCodes! Matt walked us through the basics in each video, and we had resources available via Slack 24/7 if we needed help or had questions. The challenges were engaging, fun, and filled with easy to understand information. As each week passed, the elements we learned were tied together and the framework began to make more sense. I am so glad I took the plunge and signed up! Looking forward to continuing my SheCodes journey!
This workshop definitely was a challenging yet a fun experience. I was able to test my ability to be patient with the trial and errors of my codes. This was the most rewarding experience, to have completed the workshop. I will be continuing to the Plus React workshop as I would like to advance my coding experiences with SheCodes.
The basic SheCodes workshop was a great way to learn fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and a little Javascript! It's a great foundation to discover if a longer workshop is something right for you! Easy to understand and follow.
This was a great learning experience. I have watched many YouTube tutorials but this hands on workshop taught me more in just 2 weeks than any video could have taught me. I only signed up for the 3 week course because I had free time over Christmas break but I will definitely be signing up for the full 4 month course soon!!
A great introductory course in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Matt did an excellent job in his classes, providing a thorough yet manageable groundwork to a topic that can be overwhelming at times. The foundations learned throughout the course are a great start to high-quality work in the field!

SheCode was exactly the course I needed as a beginner that's looking to enter the web world, I'm a everyday dental assistant and now I feel comfortable coding. Though this is just the beginning I've learned a lot because of the detailed information that built a solid foundation within the past 3 weeks, super excited for the future!
Was a bit skeptical at first, but ultimately really (pleasantly!) shocked by how much I learned in this course - and how quickly! Highly recommend.
This workshop took me back to the days where I would customize Myspace with all kinds of images, fonts and other props. The simplicity of the modules provide clear step-by-step instructions that allow you to fully understand what you're working on and why it's useful. I would encourage all women that have an interest in coding to give it a try, it's definitely worth it!

This was a fantastic way of learning the basics of coding! It was engaging and I learned more than I thought I would. The exercises made it much easier than I originally anticipated.
I found all of the videos easy to follow and the exercises challenging without being frustrating. I appreciated how I could go at my own pace and the support that was available on Slack. I work with developers every day, and while I always knew what they do is difficult, this workshop helped me understand on a deeper level just how difficult their work is. I'm thankful to this workshop for not only giving me introductory programming skills and knowledge but also allowing me to better understand and appreciate my colleagues and their work.

Based on my experience with SheCodes, it was a great introduction to coding and helped me take the needed steps in understanding the basics of coding. SheCodes inspired me to continue to learn more about coding in hopes to get a career change.
Quick course and the self-pacing was great. I was able to complete the course in a week. This is definitely a course for BEGINNER coders. If you have any coding experience, you will likely feel as though this course moves slowly (many of the videos were review for me). As a teacher, I was disappointed to find when I wanted to complete more advanced coding in my homework and I told to hold off and instead register for one of the more advanced courses and wait to try it then. It made me feel as though the instructor's help was not really helpful and I was passed off for wanting to try to complete some of the work shown in an advanced video.
This course really challenged me, but I had really great help along the way. I am very thankful that I have this great new skill to take with me on my next adventure!
I have never coded in my life before, but the SheCodes Workshops made it look easy and fun for me! I learned entirely a new skill that I would like to practice deeper in the future. After every challenge that I would overcome during coding, I felt satisfied with the achievements I have done. Thank you to the team and Matt for making this happen!
Challenging but rewarding
Highly informative and easy to digest. Missing some deeper explanations (like why do we use div vs span, how coding impacts internet searches and crawls, etc), but the knowledge covered is more than enough to kickstart your coding career.
I chose SheCodes as an intro into the coding world. My goal was to learn the basics so that I can then be able to teach my elementary students. I met my goal, and am now interested in learning more! SheCodes made it easy, understandable and doable.
