The SheCodes workshop provides an excellent introduction to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript! Matt (the instructor) takes his years of professional experience and teaches you the most important skills, tips, and tricks he's learned to ensure our success. It's like learning from a friend!
SheCodes helped me get a grasp on some essentials, especially a nice and non-intimidating intro to Javascript. A lot of the value came from the small asides and tips that Matt gave as a professional.
SheCodes is a great way to be introduced to coding. Lessons are very manageable and there is always someone nearby to ask if you get stuck. I had no practical experience but now I feel confidently ready to continue my degree in informatics.
I've always wanted to learn how to create such beautiful works of art to share with people, and with this course, I've learned just that! And will continue my learning to take my career to the next level!
Who knew coding could be so fun! I loved every second of this program and learned more in just a few short days than I have in years of DIY coding. Going at my own pace and figuring things out myself felt so rewarding. I can't wait to continue the rest of the program!

I was pretty nervous starting this course. Between working full time and being a mom, I wasn't sure if I'd have enough time. But I felt like the course was broken up in a really digestible way and the lessons were simple enough to grasp in a short amount of time. I'm definitely feeling a lot more confident in my coding skills!
A fun and useful new skill with a flexible program set up.
I liked this workshop because it has an introduction to basic HTML, CSS and Javascript. I did know some of it but it always good to reinforce your knowledge.
This is a solid course that covers the basics of coding in an easy, comprehendible way for beginners such such as myself. I learned a lot not only from Matt, but from previous students through the platform Slack; having a place to communicate with others and ask questions while going through the course lessons was super helpful and informative. The workload was never overwhelming, so I was actually able to enjoy the process of learning something new without having a deadline looming over me! I highly recommend this class!
I am absolutely blown away! I honestly wasn't expecting an online workshop to be such a good learning experience. Matt is an incredible instructor and he made the lessons really fun. Every concept is broken down into bite sized portions, and while his lessons are clear, he also doesn't spoon feed you. You get to learn through hands on practice and trial and error, which really helped me understand the "why" behind the concepts. This course was challenging while still being totally doable. I was able to ask a ton of questions and get quick and helpful answers from both the other students and some awesome professional coders. Overall it's a 10/10! Thank you, SheCodes Team! 🥳
I absolutely loved this workshop! I wasn't sure that I would be able to understand all of the content, but Matt is a great teacher! I, now, feel confident that I can continue with my education in technology!

I have started to know SheCodes by doing the "SheCodes Workshop". I was so fascinated by it that I decided to do "SheCodes Plus React". I just finished my second course with them and I feel so empowered by everything I learned in here. SheCodes Plus is great if you are looking for a new challenge and you want to learn something new! The learning process is very clear and you can always go back and review some of the older concepts! Great course!Can't wait to start React!

Extremely proud to have been a part of the SheCodes community! Coding always seemed very interesting but at the same time scary and overwhelming. I decided to take a chance after seeing an intro video by Matt Delac who does a phenomenal job at teaching you step by step! I strongly encourage anyone who has had an interest, to give it a try!
Each assignment increased in difficulty, as it should, but the SheCodes staff was extremely supportive throughout the process. They don't just give answers but tries to help you narrow your focus, so you can identify and fix your own errors.
I enjoyed this course very much, I learned so much in such a short time. All the videos are very well made and explain, the challenges kept me motivated. One of the best decisions I made recently.

Challenging, but I learned some decent information in an organized manner that I would not otherwise be able to learn from simply scouring the internet.
This was a great introduction to coding. I really liked the way it was broken out into digestible segments that made moving through the material easy and motivating. The course load was very manageable with a full time job and you learn a lot in a short period of time!
I found the workshops challenging-in a good way! Definitely requires your commitment to the course material but it is an awesome introduction to the world of coding. It's self-paced and engaging and the environment is focused on learning through first-hand experience.
This was a fun intro class. It covers a lot of basics. The final project made me feel like I had made drastic progress because of the speed and ease at which I completed it. I am looking forward to the next workshop.
I was a little hesitant at first, but this workshop was so fun! The explanations in the videos were very understandable. I loved how the meticulous aspect of coding sparked a sense of creativity I haven't felt passionate about in such a long time! Definitely going to keep learning. I think the series of lessons may have been too brief and I would have benefitted from more detailed instruction and exercises from such a clearly knowledgeable instructor. It wasn't easy to learn advance coding for the weather app, but I really enjoy the workshop. I felt like a learn a lot these past weeks, and everyone is really helpful when you don't understand something. These workshops help me to understand that I want to keep learning more coding in the future.
The course was quick, fun, and paced well so it was easy to follow along with each video. I loved learning each new skill and didn't notice how much I was able to do until my final project. Great experience!

I had a great experience! I love how the classes are run. It worked out perfectly for me because I have a full time job. I was able to work my job during the day and work on coding after work. If you need help with anything, just ask, someone will help you asap.
I'm so glad I took a chance and did the first tier of workshops with SheCodes. It was a great way to learn as a semi-beginner in coding and it allowed me to add on to what I already knew slowly while learning new things. I'm considering taking the classes all the way to SheCodes Plus React in hopes of pivoting my career! Matt is a great instructor and having the slack channel as support was very helpful. I also liked that the courses are fluid enough to let you figure out solutions on your own. I appreciated that each lesson is bite-sized and the timing worked very well with my schedule and full-time job.
I've been wanting to learn coding for years and I've tried many times but it always seemed complicated and I felt like i couldn't keep up. This time I kept up with the lessons and hav definitely boosted my confidence in my ability to code.

I had a wonderful experience with SheCodes and highly recommend the classes, but the classes and homework take longer than expected time so plan your time wisely.

I've always had a broad range of interests and skills. I graduated from university in 2015 and have since worked in investment portfolio management. When I was in middle school, I loved blogging and taught myself how to use hmtl/css in order to make my blog look pretty. I came to really enjoy working on my blog because I've always been an artist and I liked how creative you can be. I never really spent much time thinking about pursuing coding further or even a career. This is mostly because my understanding of coding was very limited and I assumed you would need to study computer science in order to be good at it. Enrolling in SheCodes has helped me correct my misunderstanding of coding and now I better understand that it is a skill that anyone can learn. Matt's classes helped me pick up html/css very easily. This class has made me realize that I miss working with my creative side and that I enjoy coding.
SheCodes has challenged me in ways where I want to continue learning and grow as an individual, especially with coding. I was intimidated at first and I think the way Matt has taught the lessons made me finally understand and not be afraid. I am excited to continue learning with SheCodesPlus and SheCodes Plus React and change careers and be successful as a software developer. I can't wait to see where SheCodes takes me next!
