SheCodes has been fantastic in giving this ICU nurse a foundation and basic understanding of coding and web design principles. Matt's videos are straightforward and easy to understand. The assignments push you to use what he teaches you as well as add in any extra flair you want from around the internet. I have no doubt that if I could figure this out, anyone could!

Impress with how the courses are set. Also, obtaining help from my peers was a great thought. Everyone is friendly and helpful when you need it. When you need extensions for a homework or assignment, they don't ask for a reason. They'll just do it. Which, for me, it was great considering the country I live in hasn't recover from the global pandemic.
I love this course! Being a mom with a full time job I love being able to watch the videos and assignments at my own pace but still have a deadline when things need to be accomplished to help keep me on track. This workshop made me eager to learn more.

I have been in a support role in software companies for awhile but I have been so intimidated by learning code! I signed up for a SheCodes course and I absolutely love it! I work full time and I am a mom so time is a scarce commodity but I have found this course so enjoyable it is easy to make time. I can't believe how much I have enjoyed working through the lessons and homework. I would recommend this curriculum to anyone!

If you've ever felt like you had more potential inside of you than what was being used at work, SheCodes is for you. The courses unlocked a creative streak I haven't felt in years. While I've just learned foundational elements, I know SheCodes has built me up to take on the world.
I think this is a great beginner course for women who want to learn the very basic skills of coding and have a general understanding of how it works. The videos are easy to watch in sections because they are short so I feel I can accomplish the work within the allotted time and not feel rushed or overwhelmed. I will definitely be continuing with the other workshops to learn more!

I loved this workshop. It was just the right amount of time commitment so that you could learn and challenge yourself! I have been exploring coding but find most of the resources expensive, timely, or hard to learn. SheCodes really did a good job covering the topics in an easy to understand way as well as providing a support platform for questions.

I was definitely one of those people who thought coding would be ridiculously hard. It is learning a new "language", after all. However, Matt makes these courses succinct enough to grasp the concepts and practice on your own with homework, and does a great job explaining the tougher lines of code which could get tricky. The work was definitely engaging and it was really fun crafting my own landing page. I thought this 3 week course was the perfect way to get my feet wet in the world of coding. I can't wait to start SheCodes Plus!
I've been interested in learning code for a while, but it always seemed intimidating. The lessons on SheCodes are set up so well! It was fun to watch everything unfold and I felt confident experimenting on my own. Matt not only teaches you how to do things, he also teaches you how to figure things out if you run into something you aren't so familiar with. A great space to learn how to code!
In just 3 weeks I was able to learn so much about html, css, and javascript which are languages I have always tried to learn whether it was through a class or by myself but never could figure out. Matt Delac is a very enthusiastic instructor who can portray material as daunting as coding eloquently and effectively. I can finally say that I know how to create my own website and be proud of it! I can't wait to see what I can do next.

Being able to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with SheCodes has already improved my understanding of the coding world so much. I am a Software Development student and my program mostly focuses on Java and Python. I am so glad I found SheCodes and had the opportunity to learn these front-end development skills from someone like Matt. He is such a great teacher and I never thought I would enjoy it as much as I did. I am continuing on to the SheCodes+ and SheCodes React workshops too.
After losing my job due to Covid, I decided that I needed a job that could give me stability but keep my interest. After talking with a friend, I realized that Coding was the way to go. I tried to teach myself, but it was a no-go. That was when I stumbled across a YouTube ad about SheCodes. I really liked the message they were trying to spread. So I decided to give them a try. I loved this workshop and can't wait to do the others!

I am not from a technology background in the slightest. I've been sewing theatrical costumes for a living for 12 years. This course was completely comprehensive and fun! I'm such a visual learner, so being able to see my work with every small change made this learning process so great.

I had such a fun time learning SheCodes Plus! Although a lot of the material was difficult and sometimes frustrating, it was so worth it and satisfying in the end. I loved building my weather app and it was amazing to see my final product actually work. I am so excited to continue learning and to be able to use these skills in the future!
This was a very comprehensive course. Matt is great at explaining the work and was extremely stress-free. I think these basic skills are extremely valuable and I'm very happy with the amount that I've learned while being able to go at my own pace.

I've loved the SheCodes workshop! The lessons were neatly broken down with corresponding challenges that gave us space to practice what we just learned. I appreciate how organized everything is, and that we use real developer tools to write our own code. Knowing that fellow students and educators are available via Slack was a great comfort when I found myself facing errors in my code. Much of the time I was able to find a solution via a quick Google search, but a few times I went to Slack and saw that other students were experiencing similar issues. It added a sense of community learning despite being all online. My experience with SheCodes thus far has been very positive and I am excited to start the next set of workshops.
I work for a tech startup in a relationships role and had always wondered how our website actually worked. When I saw lines of code on our engineers' screens, I had absolutely no idea what they were working on. A lot of my clients ironically are actually coding boot camps! Given the high costs of attending an in-person boot camp, I wasn't sure if I wanted to make such a large investment upfront. Discovering SheCodes was a lucky find for me. I found all of the course material to be spaced out and easy to manage/comprehend. Matt does a great job demystifying the world of code. Hopefully I can put these skills to good use in my current role or in a new challenge in the future. Even if you don't have aspirations to become a programmer, there is no reason to not take this course. It gives you a great foundation for understanding how code works.

This course has been great! It has shown me that I have what it takes to learn and improve my coding skills. All the lessons have been easy to follow but we are given challenges to help build our problem-solving skills. I'm so glad I took the plunge and signed up.
I love SheCodes! The classes are very easy to follow along with and I loved the convenience of the interactive lessons and videos. The one on one help from the instructors made completing everything a breeze, I would definitely recommend to all of my friends!
This course has challenged me to think differently and research concepts I didn't fully grasp. Sometimes the mistakes I stressed over had simple solutions, and I am glad that the SheCodes community was so helpful. I realized that must train my mind to pay attention to detail. In the end, learning feels quite rewarding, and the moment you find your own solutions you feel badass.

I stumbled upon the SheCodes workshops by accident, but it feels like it was the perfect opportunity at just the right time. I tentatively registered for the free class but was hopeful. I had no previous experience coding, and frankly, no clue what coding entailed. But after the free class, I immediately signed up for the first SheCodes Workshop. Between the lessons, community chat, and encouragement from Matt to do more research on the material we were learning- I was hooked! Coding never seemed accessible and so I never knew I would hold any interest in it. SheCodes took the intimidation, self-doubt, and mystery away. For the first time in quite a while, I'm excited to learn again and feel confident that SheCodes will help me develop new skills. I'm proud and excited to say that I am enrolling in the SheCodes Plus React workshop to continue my training!!
This course was very informative. I learned a lot a things about coding during the span of the three week workshop.
The lessons are well thought out and easy to follow. Plus, when I had a question about the homework, my question was answered with very little delay.
I've done other workshops before, but what I love about SheCodes is that it's just so easy to understand, and they give you enough tools to build off of. This is by no means the end of my journey, but I definitely feel like I have a strong start!

So much fun! I thought it was accessible and gave me so many tools to further my curiosity. I like the structure of the mini steps, which helped implement the lesson. I got stuck on a few things but I was able to find my way out, which I think is super important. Don't take shortcuts and try to make coding everyday a habit. Soon it will come second nature, and you will be excited to learn more.
I highly recommend this workshop! I find that instructor Delac's videos are very easy to follow as they are short and informative. This workshop definitely caters to my learning style.

I've been trying to learn programming since I was 11, when I was copy pasting basic html to change my neopets shop background π I've never really been successful, until NOW. Every time I have tried to take a webdev course the instructions have always seemed abstract and disjointed. This course has by far had the simplest break down of how code actually works and how HTML and CSS work together. I've learned more HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in 2 weeks than I have in 18 years. Thank you!

Should a Product Designer need to know programming knowledge? I'd say it helps you to think more deeply about your designs and how to make them more efficient for that process. You will know what can be easily achieved and what would be more challenging. I felt very comfortable now working with developers. SheCodes was a user-friendly and well-organized platform and all materials were presented clearly. It felt like a real coding community!
I am super happy I'll be enrolling in the next workshop to learn more.
I loved the course! I want to take another! I was very impressed with this course because I don't like to take courses on the internet, and I saw the ad, it caught my attention and I signed up, but I didn't know what to expect. I started the three week course, and I was always very attentive with the videos and exercises and Matt explains them very well step by step so you don't get lost and he can take the course with ease. The platform that handles "slack" helped me a lot when I didn't understand something, I put it there and they solved it for me. The course is highly recommended.
This intro level course was very approachable and straight-forward. I learned much more quickly than I expected, and am energized to do more! I appreciate the self-paced aspect, as I was able to zip through the course very quickly as my motivation allowed. Overall, I'd recommend this for anyone wanting to learn the very basics of coding.
