Coming to this course, I only knew a few things about coding. I can not believe how much I have learned in the past three weeks! For the first time, I enjoyed what I was taught and feel confident in my ability to do the task at hand! I found the challenges beneficial because they forced me to practice coding instead of just taking notes. The practice through the challenges allowed me to have a better understanding of the content. I look forward to learning more about coding and expanding my skills within technology.
The Basic course was Amazing, and I had a lot of fun! The best parts was figuring out my mistakes and learning from them all at the same time. I would love to continue with the remaining courses. The modules were easy to understand, plus the visual and hands-on-training made it perfect for my learning style!
I am absolutely thrilled with this course! I am a Graphic Designer and I have been putting off learning HTML, CSS and Javascript for so long because I felt like it would be too difficult, especially while juggling work and being a Mom. Matt broke down every concept into small easy to learn steps that made it a breeze for me to fit the lessons into my busy life. I can't wait to use my new skills!

I absolutely love SheCodes! I was teaching myself to code for about 4 months before deciding to enroll in the workshops. Matt was able to fill a lot of gaps and clarify a lot of things about HTML and CSS that I didn't quite understand. I was SO nervous to try a coding workshop because I've never done anything coding related, but SheCodes has made it possible! The lessons are very easy to watch and understand. When I first started the workshop I thought it was impossible to learn coding but as time went on and as I put more effort into learning I found it because easier and the questions I was asking became more focused. Due to Covid, I was so lost and confused! Through much researching I found SheCodes and immediately fell in love with coding. Once I am finished, I will be able to get my dream job!

SheCodes Basic was great! It was flexible enough to work with some unexpected life events but also provided enough structure to keep me motivated and engaged. The ability to ask questions and get direct feedback is an absolute necessity for myself, and was an enormous help with getting the basics down.
I highly recommend SheCodes workshops! I've been wanting to learn how to code. The best part about SheCodes is that you can learn according to your schedule throughout the week, but having the homework deadline gives you that push to get it done. Coding has always seemed intriguing and interesting but also intimidating, overwhelming, and out of reach. I was furloughed from work and saw an ad for SheCodes. The timing was perfect for me to branch out to learn a new skill and after the very first SheCodes lesson, I've realized that learning to code is not as intimidating and unattainable as I initially thought! I recently quit my job where I was miserable. I decided to learn coding full-time. I have always been an ideas and user experience type person and it is great to see the beginnings of my ideas come alive. I can't wait to further my knowledge with the next workshop!
SheCodes was such a worthwhile and interesting experience. I wanted to develop a new technical skill and was just drawn to coding... but wasn't confident that I had the chops for it, because I see so few women in tech fields. I checked out other courses but felt left behind pretty much before I'd started. And then being a full-time professional, I was worried I might not have the bandwidth to give to a coding class. So I thought I had too many obstacles. When I took the free SheCodes class I immediately liked Matt's style and felt at home on the site; the way the modules were broken up made it easy to digest new techniques throughout the week. It turned out to be pretty easy to integrate into my life and I really looked forward to each video. I know there's so much to learn but I think I got off to the best start with SheCodes Basics.

My best friend suggested that we take this course together to learn basic coding skills in order to enhance our knowledge of the field when applying for jobs. At first, the course was overwhelming. I took a couple days break (luckily it's a three-week course!) and once I returned the material immediately clicked. I can't wait to learn more!

Just when I was struggling with the idea of coming up with a portfolio, SheCodes goes and make a class where they can teach me how to make one! It was definitely a lot of time and hard work but it's well worth it when you see the final product and know that it was all you!
I currently work in Rehab at a nursing home and just recently decided to try to make a career change as their are no advancements in therapy. Due to anxiety one night, I had trouble sleeping. And I decided to google boot camps in my area, most were very expensive, for a field I was not sure I wanted to go in. Shecodes of course, popped up and was ranked well and affordable , I especially like that it was geared towards women. I have been out of school for years now and computers/ technology are not my thing. I do wish I had a fast forward button, when all this stuff sticks and I get a job, making some good money.

SheCodes Responsive guided me through the process of making a polished portfolio site that looks good on mobile. CSS media queries and flexbox took my designs to the next level. It was another great experience after doing Plus and React!

I came into this workshop without any coding experience. I decided to start my coding journey as I'm in the process of a career transition from healthcare to marketing. I have enjoyed making my portfolio for the first time. I learned a lot more now about creating a responsive design (in an actual work) makes me think this is how UI designs come to life. Doing it myself makes me appreciate the hard work designers and developers do to create a masterpiece.
I have tried many online class formats - and I still didn't feel confident in the basics. One of the main problems was that information I would find was out-of-date. This workshop helped me put together the information in a concrete way that was easy to follow while ensuring I was learning current best practices. That's pretty cool!
I learned more in these 3 weeks than I have in any another bootcamp or from self discovery. The beginner course is excellent and I would recommend it for anyone looking to dip their toes in.
