I decided to try the 3 week program because I wanted to understand coding, sure, this is just a small sample of everything that coding entails, but it was an amazing course!! Explaining it like learning a language really helped me take away the fear and intimidation behind the word βcodeβ and made it fun, challenging and exciting!! Iβm not sure if Iβll take the next courses, but Iβm extremely grateful to this program for allowing me to see that if I wanted, I can continue, and that I can code!!! How awesome and exciting is it to say that?! At almost 42, I can code π₯°. Iβm proud to show my daughter that, no matter what age or stage of life youβre in, you can always transform, learn and grow. I absolutely loved taking the SheCodes Basics workshop! I found myself enjoying it and wanting to learn more. It was explained in an approachable fashion and wasn't dry. SheCodes Plus built on what I learned in the initial class. It was a really great transition and helped me hone the skills I had while adding extra layers of complexity. I especially enjoyed learning the API integration and it made me more comfortable in JavaScript when developing functions and sorting through arrays. Matt's videos are great and the SheCodes team is phenomenal at answering questions and helping you work through issues.
I had previously coded in college. I was looking for something to do at night while I am home. This was a nice refresher on what I had previously learned and I did learn quite a few new things. I am excited to start my next workshop.
It was really helpful to take this course after completing the other three SheCodes workshops! This course really helped pull all the information together and made me feel a lot more confident in formatting my projects and keeping them responsive to a variety of devices. There are some really helpful tips in this course and creating the portfolio was essential for me and it helped to have all of my previous SheCodes projects to display! Now I've officially completed all 4 workshops and and I easily say, it was a lot of hard work, but was definitely worth it! The team is very helpful and are there to help and guide you through the process.
This was a great source to learn code.
I'm elated to have successfully finished this workshop. It has been a tough challenge, but in order to get good at something, you have to be bad at it first. This workshop allowed me to do each exercise badly, learn what went wrong, and fix it to create something that I'm proud of.

This was an awesome extension of the SheCodes work I've already done. Not only was I able to get back into coding in a motivated way, but it was doing a project that will really benefit me in the future.

I had a little experience with HTML before I took this course. Now I can comfortably code and I understand the concepts a lot more than before I took this Workshop . Challenging but empowering. I've learned things I thought were out of reach for me and let go of negative assumptions about my capacity to grow and progress. Will you curse under your breath in frustration at times? Yes. But will you also revel in your success when something finally clicks? YES! Do this for yourself. You won't regret it.

I like how the course is divided into short lessons, so the period of time spent in one sitting is easy to personalize. I feel like I've learned a lot in the past three weeks, and now I'm looking forward to the next course.
After successfully completing the Intro to Coding course, I was curious about continuing but was also unsure if I could take my skills to the next level. I got a very kind message from Matt encouraging me to continue, so I decided to take the leap! This course did such a great job building upon the foundations I learned in Intro to Coding. The additional material covering JS functions and hosting was especially interesting to me. I have some long-term aspirations of becoming a product manager and I think my new understanding of code will be really helpful with that journey.
SheCodes was great! I don't think I'll end up going into a job where coding is needed but I will absolutely continue to do it in my free time! I think it is so much fun and I loved learning how each language worked. It was nice to see how much I understood and could figure out on my own once I started the Final Project!

The 3-week course provided me with just enough information for me to be able to work and communicate better with the dev team at my job. SheCodes lessons were not intimidating and Matt does a great job walking through every step and explaining WHY you would do something that way.
I really enjoyed this class. It was really cool to be able to do this class with other women across the world! I loved the workshops and brushing up on my html/css skills while also learning to combine that with javascript. I am super proud of my final project and excited to learn more about coding!
Learning web development through SheCodes is made fun and interactive! The format of the short challenges after concise lessons especially kept me engaged. Definitively not easy as I thought. During this course I went through a few challenges but I am happy I didn't give up. I gain a more deep understanding on programing. Specially JS with the help of Matt Delac (our instructor) and JoΓ£o Lopes (our tech instructor) I was be able to build a app from scratch. I gain lot of knowledge and new techniques. I am looking forward to the next course React. After finalizing this course it gave me much more confidence. I see myself in the future thriving on this career path. Thank you SheCodes team.

SheCodes does it again. Another great workshop. When I finished my React workshop and worked on other coding projects I really felt like my responsive design needed some work, so I was thrilled when this workshop got introduced. Matt [as always] is a fantastic teacher and this workshop has improved my skills as a designer of ten-folds.
Loved it! The modules are easy to follow and the challenges are, well, challenging enough without being frustrating at this point of our coding journey.
As a Computer Science major this really helped me find my love for coding again and I loved how free I was to do whatever I want and not have to follow a strict assignment as I would in school. I can see myself just playing around with what I learned as a new hobby now because I can see how I can put my own interests and combine them like I did with my final project.

I 10/10 recommend the SheCodes workshop to anyone looking to enter the world of coding! It was a fantastic experience, the lessons were very comprehensive and easy to follow and you can get help whenever you need it. I don't think you could get a better experience anywhere else π
I am really glad I took Shecodes π©πΎβπ» instead of self-learning. Learning the basics through a guided video as well as having support from the Shecodes team and classmates really helped π€π½when I was confused π΅. And for all those who are terrified of coding because you think math ββ is involved... it's not (or at least not at this level). Like anything else, it's just a new language that needs to be learned and understood. If you have the time β, I would recommend taking the workshops given. Recently, I go on my websites as usual, but now I start to the different elements behind the scenes. These workshops have really opened up my mind to a new computerized world.
I really enjoyed the course! It was my first time coding and I discovered something that will probably become a new passion!

SheCodes Basics is a fantastic introductory class to HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I learned so much in just 3 weeks! Each lesson was easy to follow, understand, and just enough content to focus on at one time. I would highly recommend it to other people. When I first started with SheCodes I didn't believe I was going to actually learn how to create my own landing page by Week 3.... but I DID IT!!! This is only the beginning and I'm soo excited and definitely looking forward to SheCodes Plus.
I was hesitant at first but I finally decided to give it a try cause 1) it kept popping up as ads on YouTube or a game I was playing 2) I wanted to try something new, for myself, that didn't take up too much of my time from my 16 and 7 year old boys, both with disabilities. Surprisingly, it IS how they say it is. Only a few hours a week and anyone, I mean anyone, can do it. I had no knowledge of coding what-so-ever. But I really enjoyed doing the challenges and the project. He warns you that you won't understand a lot but at the same time it makes sense if you understand how to use the tools he gives. My advice to anyone giving it some thought, if you have a few hours to spare a week, then just go for it. And try not to overthink anything cause there is nothing to overthink. You have the help of others at your finger tips. Yes, it can be frustrating at times (nothing comes without frustration) but it's all worth it in the end.
I've always wanted to venture into coding, but let fear get the best of me. This course has been such a great experience and I'm excited to overcome that and continue learning and developing my skills with SheCodes. I've loved learning these past few weeks and can't wait to take on more challenges π Highly recommend!!
