When I started this course I didn't know anything about HTML, CSS, JavaScript after this past three weeks I can design a basic web page. In the past I tried other courses and I could not understand any of it. SheCode is easy to learn and Matt is a great instructor.
This is my 4th SheCodes course and each time I complete one, I am amazed with how much I learn.
This course was very challenging for me so I am thankful I had the help of JoΓ£o throughout as well as watch the videos as many times as needed to help me understand the information. I am happy I took this course to open my eyes more into the tech world and coding languages!

This was another great course by the SheCodes team. I really loved learning more about responsive design and applying the concepts to a custom-coded portfolio website! I learned a lot and feel even more prepared to apply to my first job.

As my 4th workshop with SheCodes I can only give a really good review. I really enjoyed learning new hacks and ways to improve my code-learning skills. The final project for this workshop is really the perfect way to make us want to give our best, since it is a presentation of yourself and what you achieve so far.

SheCodes is an amazing program that does not only encouraging women to get involved in the ever-changing tech industry, but for being there to support students every step of the way with the real time support. My favorite part is that I can do this at home or anywhere on my own time, and whenever I choose. The new responsive program is amazing, and I've learned so much just in 5 weeks. I immediately started SheCodes Plus after completing the SheCodes Basics program. I can't say enough about these courses. The challenges are super interactive and the solutions are easy to follow. SheCodes Plus has opened up the world of coding for me and I'm excited to more forward with React and Responsive Development in the SheCodes Pro course!
I have used visual scripting in the Unreal Engine for a senior project and that has been the extent of my coding experience. All the lessons were super easy to understand and had me super excited when things clicked in my own projects. I know its just the basics course and I have so much more to learn, but I am very glad I started here!

I had tried to learn coding on many different platforms and felt like I was losing steam- until I joined SheCodes! As a busy mom with a full-time job, I don't have time for an intense full time bootcamp but I definitely needed a program with structure, deadlines, and a team ready to help. As a mom in tech, I'm so glad that I found this dev program to supplement my current job. The course is well thought out and concepts are explained well and realistically.
The tutorials and resources make for a very easy intro to coding. As someone who started with a free coding course elsewhere, SheCodes Basics was a thorough review for me and the principles of CSS and Javascript finally stuck.
I started this program top be able to learn how to code websites, as I have a vision for a business website that I have in mind. It is a very complex site and in order for me to understand everything that goes into it. I need to learn what goes on in the backend. These first 3 weeks have been amazing and I have learned so much in regards to website and coding that exact specifications. Matt has been an amazing instructor and has made it easy to understand. What I once thought was a bunch of gibberish, now makes sense. I look forward to the next course as I bought the Pro.

And with this final submission, I have completed all available SheCodes workshops! π₯²All previous SheCodes grads should take this responsive course. I'm taking all of the knowledge I've gotten from this course and I'm going to be going back through my previous projects from Plus and React and retooling them with the info I've gained through this workshop. As always, Matt explains things in a way that it's easy to understand and implement. If there are ever other SheCodes workshops in the future, I will definitely be taking those too.

This was such a fun adventure into the world coding! I feel like I've begun learning a new language - that of computers, which has allowed me to design my own projects! I had never done any coding prior and the intro course was easy to follow and explore HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Learning the basics of coding is fundamental. I know by experience as my first taste of coding I jumped right into Python and I was scarred. I could not understand what certain variables or tools it applies to so I put coding on a stop. Then I started seeing SheCodes on my IG ad feeds and reading its testimonials from other students that made me want to jump back onto coding and its one of the best decision for my 2021 goals!

Third workshop down, and I'm so proud of myself! SheCodes has helped me discover talents & skills I didn't really know I had. With each workshop, I gain more and more confidence. Matt just knows how to create a learning environment that works! It's a bittersweet feeling as I enter my last workshop with Matt and the SheCodes team, but I'm so excited for what the future holds. No matter what endeavors I encounter, SheCodes will forever hold a special place in my heart.

I tried the "going it alone" route by watching Youtube videos and became immediately overwhelmed and confused. After seeing the SheCodes ads while watching videos, I clicked on the ad and decided to try out the Free Coding Class that SheCodes offers. And I am so glad I did. I needed structure and community in order to learn how to code and Matt was the perfect instructor. He "decoded" coding for me and I realized this isn't just a phase - I really enjoy coding and I am looking forward to taking the next classes so I can continue to develop this new skillset. This was a very fun workshop, I really enjoyed it. I did know a bit about HTML and CSS before doing this workshop, so it wasn't hard for me, but I think if i didn't have that prior knowledge i would have struggled. I know its only a 3 week workshop but i wish we would have gone more into depth.
The lessons are very easy to follow and are broken up into digestible pieces. Matt does a great job explaining but still manages to make it challenging. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in learning coding!

I'm a UX designer and took the workshop to learn how to code so I can better communicate and collaborate with developers. I was surprised how much fun it was to code! Matt is great at explaining important concepts and showing you how to code, but he doesn't spoon-feed you everything. He gives you the resources so you learn to research and trouble shoot. Of course there's a whole community of students and Matt himself on Slack to help and support you too when you're stuck. Matt is a rock star and I enjoyed SheCodes Radio while I was coding. It's been an amazing experience and I highly recommend it to everyone!
I have been enjoying being part of this SheCodes. Though I can learn through the flexibility and privacy in my own home . it worked well with busy scheduling, and expectation were clear and upfront. After three short weeks, I have learnt a significant amount. Impressive how I am able to make sense of concepts that I didn't understand previously and able to put them together into a single page.
The Basics class was quick to get through, and I learned a lot. I appreciate that the assignments went deeper than the lessons so I had to put in effort to figure out how to make things work. I'm much more confident in HTML, CSS, and Java Script than I thought I could be after a 3 week class. I'm looking forward to taking the rest of the workshops!

I've tried apps and games that teach you to code but I never understood what was happening. I just wasn't engaged and I couldn't grasp the information. Now I don't know how this was ever hard for me to learn. SheCodes does a wonderful job with catering to different styles of learning. the workshop didn't only make coding fundamentals easy, it made it kinda fun, too.
I learned a lot and had a fun time in this class. I can't wait to continue on and build my skills further. I'm thankful for Shecodes giving me the boost I needed.

I decided to try the 3 week program because I wanted to understand coding, sure, this is just a small sample of everything that coding entails, but it was an amazing course!!
