I signed up for this course reluctantly but so happy I made the decision to do it! I will probably sign up for the next level of classes when time permits me to! The slack chat definitely helps; if you ever begin to feel lost or overwhelmed it's nice to have a community there to assist.
This workshop has been AMAZING! I knew nothing about coding when I signed up, and now I'm building landing pages for businesses. Matt does a great job teaching and I can't wait to take the next course!
While I dabbled in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in the past, SheCodes gives you a simpler, more structured way of not only actually learning the code you are using, but how to use it in ways you didn't think was possible - nor easy. The support that you gain from being a SheCodes student and the community you have to reach out to when you have questions gives you confidence, even if you are feeling like you might be lost. The step-by-step videos and explanations give you a clear and concise idea of what is expected for each challenge, and if something wasn't quite right, the responses from the SheCodes team lead you in the right direction to find what you are looking for, should you have to fix anything. Even if you have never Coded before, this course gives you ample information and guidelines to help you achieve your goal of learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript so that you may use them in day-to-day applications. I am excited to continue with SheCodes and learn all that I can to help me make the right decisions in what type of coding I would like to do, as well as opens more opportunities for you to advance your career, expand your hobbies, or help you learn a new craft for future use.
This was so fun, I struggled at the end but that's part of the learning process. Your creativity comes out and at the same time your critical thinking as well!

After graduating with a BA in MIS, I wanted to dive deeper into the tech field. I believe SheCodes has given me a great start with this workshop. I will be signing up for the Pro next.

This course was so much fun to take; building a project that 100% works has given me so much confidence for my future in web development. Matt does an excellent job teaching the concepts in this 8-week course. He provides just the right amount of information to get you started on the lesson challenges and final project but makes sure you have the opportunity to explore and learn how things work on your own.
I really enjoyed the SheCodes Basic workshop. I'm not the most tech savvy so having in depth tutorial videos really helped me learn coding quickly and efficiently! The Basics workshop was a fantastic introduction to coding and the support from both staff and fellow coders was amazing! I highly recommend this workshop if you're interested in gaining a fundamental understanding of what coding is about.

Excellent workshop! I learned how to create and style HTML elements using CSS, and I learned some basic JavaScript properties. By the end of the workshop, I was able to use what I have learned to create and modify a sample webpage. I definitely plan to continue my education in coding after the SheCodes basic course! :)
Hey future SheCoders! I just submitted my project and I'm very excited to share my experience with you. I loved the whole process. The required solution submittal after each module really forced me to learn. For some one like me, without a computer science background, the modules were very well explained and presented. Matt made "coding fun" and not intimidating! Jump into your new career and believe in yourself!
Coming into this I had zero knowledge about coding but I was really interested in knowing how it all works so I started this program out of curiosity and I enjoyed it very very much! I thought I was going to have a difficult time but It's easy to learn, Matt is a great instructor, and the way he explains things is very easy to understand. I can't wait to continue and increase my knowledge!

This was a great introduction. Everything really made sense. I did dipped my toes in a lot of other intro to web development/web developer classes and this was the best so far. Challenging yet, easy to follow with real word applications. Def worth the investment.

I highly recommend SheCodes for anyone who wants to learn Javascript, even if you have no experience whatsoever. The support was great, the lessons were thorough, and I appreciated the flexibility of a self-paced course. While there will always be more to learn, I think SheCodes has given me a great foundation to build on.
I've always wanted to build my own webpage and I'm so happy with how this turned out. I have so enjoyed this program from Basic all the way to Responsive.

I really enjoyed taking the SheCodes workshop. I think the curriculum is very engaging, easy to follow along, I did not need much assistance but it there when you need it. Before this course, I briefly did some studying on HTML and CSS, this course ended up putting it all together - but I would highly recommend this to a new leaner. I now have much more understanding on the material and can't wait to start on the Plus workshop next week.

SheCodes Basics was a great introduction to coding. The lessons were easily digestible and the homework/assignments were challenging, but integrated your new knowledge. The Slack app was also a great addition to ask questions and connect with other students.

SheCodes is an amazing way for a beginner to learn coding. At the time, I was looking for a coding program, but I had missed all of the deadlines for them. I felt like I had run out of options, but that's when I ran into SheCodes on a Youtube ad. It changed everything. Matt's way of teaching is amazing and the fact that it's self-paced made it even better.
SheCodes Basics was a great jumping off point to dive into Plus. The modules felt like mini intensives, opportunities to explore concepts like APIs and frameworks in an easy to manage way. There's definitely a lot of information available online but SheCodes Plus was a helpful anchor to ground in without getting lost or overwhelmed. Before I even realized it had happened, I was drawing on knowledge to solve problems on my own and now when I branch out and read about coding on other forums I'm ecstatic to find that I can follow what I'm seeing. SheCodes has definitely helped me see the depth of my own inner well and start filling it with resources and knowledge.

This was a trying course, but I learned a lot in a relatively short amount of time. Be ready to put a lot of time and energy into this course. It definitely took me longer than 5 hours a week. Overall I would still highly recommend this course, and look forward to continuing my coding journey with SheCodes.
SheCodes Responsive is my third workshop I have completed! I continue to learn new things every day and I have met so many supportive people along the way. I feel more confident in my ability to pursue a career in web development. I am looking forward to SheCodes React and expanding on what I have learned so far. SheCodes Plus was a rather enjoyable experience. Each section is broken down and explained clearly. You will end up doing some of your own internet research for answers but that is all part of the learning process. This course was a great challenge and will be worth it in the long run.
SheCodes took something [which felt] daunting and intimidating, and made it simple and fun! Matt explains the "why" behind things, to better understand what you're doing [which you don't get from other online classes].
I love how thorough each lesson is and everything is explained very easily for you to understand and not get lost in the process. It's great that we get to practice with every step of the way, it is challenging but worth it in the long run because of everything that I've learned! Very grateful for the whole SheCodes team in helping me get started in the Tech industry and thank you for this great skillset.
This course was so FUN! It really builds on everything you've learned in other courses. I really enjoyed learning how to make pages responsive and customizing the code for the navbar.
Wow! I had a blast with SheCodes, and I've learned so much. This method of learning works well, and I appreciate that it's a flexible learning structure. I never would have thought I could go from a complete beginner to creating my own web page from scratch and have a lot of fun while doing it!
This was so much fun! I have always heard of coding, but I never knew what it was. I had the time, I was curious, so I decided to bite the bullet. I did not realize how much I would actually enjoy it! I am glad that I took this workshop!
It was helpful learning how to make web pages responsive and continuing to build HTML skills. This course also allowed me to utilize Bootstrap even more and I feel quite confident in being able to utilize Bootstrap in future projects.

I decided to do the SheCodes workshop at a very difficult time in my life... It may not have been the best decision to push myself so much while dealing with extreme life events... but that being said Matt is an AMAZING teacher and I am so glad I pushed myself and kept with the course, it was 150% worth it! I fell in love with coding through the Basics workshop and I am excited to continue learning. 🤩
