I loved learning about coding and the simplicity of the presentations and the assignments. SheCodes is really a great way to test your interest in coding and getting introduced into the coding world.
It was very easy to follow and I really appreciated the support provided on slack.

This basics course exceeded my expectations on all fronts. Matt is a great teacher and the approachability of the material, community, support, and resources was key to my learning. It can feel a bit daunting to realize I do not learn as quickly as when I was in school full time, but I found things clicking along the way and making their way into my day to day vocabulary. I have shown my work to friends that have taken expensive courses and/or gone to university and they are impressed in how much I was able to retain and the incredible resources available to me. From curated cheatsheets, to color gradients, image hosting, videos I can play at any time and even SheCodes Radio(my favorite part!). Highly recommend more women empower themselves through code there are not enough of us!

I signed up not knowing what to expect. Truly I was nervous and was not sure if i can even understand coding in general. All I can say is wow, I've learned more than what I expected from this course and the structure of the course is very well thought out. To anyone thinking of taking this course, don't be afraid, it's easy a long as you are motivated and follow the structure you should be fine. The knowledge I gained here will help open up more opportunities for me.
I started with zero knowledge of coding so I decided to go with the 3 week SheCodes workshop. This course taught me some great fundamentals from which to continue on this learning journey. Very happy with what I learned!
The program was very interactive and taught me a lot about coding. More specifically it was easy and thus I believe it has made me have a positive attitude towards coding.

I loved how this course is broken into smaller lessons and challenges after each lesson make it easy to practice what you just learned. I also really liked how you could work at your own pace. The short videos allow you to squeeze in bits and pieces when it's most convenient for you. Matt is a great teacher and provides excellent resources for you to learn where you're going wrong or how to research your problems. The Slack community is an added bonus. I finished SheCodes Basics and it was a huge personal challenge. Even though I was nearly to quit, I persisted and finished my final project. It is a hard path but I believe the rewards personal and professionally are the best.

I highly recommend SheCodes basic course to any woman looking to learn how to code or gaining new tech skills. Matt is an excellent teacher. He has a talent for explaining things easily, he is very generous with his knowledge, and his passion for coding and the SheCodes vision is very inspiring. These courses very detailed and if your mess up on HTML, CSS or JavaScript, there is so much support to help you get back on track. I have never coded any webpages so this is a brand new experience for me. Matt Delac teachings are very good and if you miss anything, you can always rewind or look in up on Google. I do not regret taking these courses and look forward to completing all of my certificates.
I can't begin to express how grateful I am for SheCodes! Although I struggled more often than not, this was a great course for beginner/intermediate students. This is a wonderful stepping stone for women who want to join the tech industry. I have ways to go in becoming more proficient with my coding and much more to learn but, with SheCodes I believe I'm on my way to becoming a great software developer. π©βπ»π

As a Pilates teacher building my business during the pandemic, I found myself struggling to understand how to put my website together in a way that functioned not only for myself but also for my clients. I built a whole website to then find out that the main function I needed to run the core of the business was not a good fit. I kept running into walls and my clients complained that the process was complicated. From there I wanted to take matters into my own hands and I didn't know where to start. I loved this class and how much it made me really problem solve. This is defiantly an intro class and it did not feel like there was anything that was out of reach.

I've been in the same field of work for 17 years and decided to take a chance on coding. There were many times where I was frustrated and wanted to quit but I felt so accomplished when I was able to get the code to work. I can't wait to learn more.

The support that you gain from being a SheCodes student and the community you have to reach out to when you have questions gives you confidence, even if you are feeling like you might be lost. The step-by-step videos and explanations give you a clear and concise idea of what is expected for each challenge, and if something wasn't quite right, the responses from the SheCodes team lead you in the right direction to find what you are looking for, should you have to fix anything. Even if you have never Coded before, this course gives you ample information and guidelines to help you achieve your goal of learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript so that you may use them in day-to-day applications. I am excited to continue with SheCodes and learn all that I can to help me make the right decisions in what type of coding I would like to do, as well as opens more opportunities for you to advance your career, expand your hobbies, or help you learn a new craft for future use.

This course was so much fun to take; building a project that 100% works has given me so much confidence for my future in web development. Matt does an excellent job teaching the concepts in this 8-week course. He provides just the right amount of information to get you started on the lesson challenges and final project but makes sure you have the opportunity to explore and learn how things work on your own.

Excellent workshop! I learned how to create and style HTML elements using CSS, and I learned some basic JavaScript properties. By the end of the workshop, I was able to use what I have learned to create and modify a sample webpage. I definitely plan to continue my education in coding after the SheCodes basic course! :)

The required solution submittal after each module really forced me to learn. For some one like me, without a computer science background, the modules were very well explained and presented.
