I had a little background in HTML and CSS, but this course definitely made me feel more confident about my skills and covered some details that other courses I didn't (for example, the default styling in HTML!).
SheCodes Responsive was a lot of fun! It was the best to build a responsive website along with Matt. I highly recommend this course because practically all websites today require to be responsive to different devices, so every developer has to be ready. I'm definitely going to apply the tips I learnt here from now on!
I was studying to be a teacher but halfway through my degree I decided it was not my calling. There were many resources for learning programming languages but it was overwhelming all the information available to a beginner. Thank you for all the work that Shecodes does. The SheCodes Plus workshop really helped me to develop my coding skills even further! The use of JavaScript is way more intense in this one, but it shows how powerful and dynamic this language can be. As usual, it is also important to point out that it's always appreciated that Matt takes you step by step along the lessons, otherwise, those who are very new to coding (like myself) may lose their footing. But, even if that happened, a member of the team would always help me in Slack :) I learnt a great deal and had fun working towards my final project! I am so looking forward to start with the next workshops now so I can learn how to use React!
I have loved completing the SheCodes basic course. I have had so much fun I am now looking at the more advanced courses. I had zero experience in this field and I am looking to transition into a remote job in this field. I loved learning something new and at my own pace. Thanks Shecodes!!
Challenging but very happy with the workshop
The pace of this course was perfect for my needs and I learnt so much with Matt! The introduction to JavaScript was by far my favorite part because it was a bit challenging at moments, but that only encourages me to keep learning so I can gain even more experience and improve my coding skills!

It was quite a fun and challenging experience, I was able to understand each lesson perfectly and in my own time. I was surprised how quickly I was able to advance and become familiar with programming, something that I thought was far away but now I am more confident about it.

She codes could be difficult at times, when the code is not working, but, this is the ugly part, that it doesn't compare to how amazing it could be.
This program is amazing, many times you can get angry, but when you find the solution, it's all worth it. I didn't think programming could be that easy.
Shecodes was my first approach to coding and I have to tell that it was so revealing for me. I always thought coding was only for people who studied something related with IT field, but I learnt that everyone could developed the skills and capabilities with the right technique. Definitely, the short lessons, challenges, help to keep you motivated.
I feel very motivated to finish this basic process of this workshop, since SheCodes teaches you and makes you practice with challenges and projects like these, which in the long run is what will make you a programmer. Very happy thanks to our teacher Matthieu and Team SheCodes.

I have really enjoyed the Basics course that SheCodes offers. As I already know Python and use latex for documentation, I already recognised many things, but this introduction has opened my eyes to how much I can do with these three languages. I look forward to the next workshops!

I as a former teacher of English, and a person who had zero knowledge on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, can say that this course is really for anyone who wants to learn. It doesn't matter if you are into coding or not you just need to believe in yourself and give it a try. SheCodes worshops and courses are fantastic! Easy to understand and practical I think that's why I could learn fast. Great content and there's always support if you need or have questions.

I had a great time creating and practicing. I have tried many types of online study methodologies and I must say that SheCodes is the best I have come across.
It was a great experience, I didn't know anything about coding prior to this, and I finished SheCodes Basics with a really positive perception of it. It was fun and I feel like I learned enough to now want to know more about it, and maybe consider working in this area in the future.
I have tried to learn coding for a very long time but I always gave up because I considered too complex or confusing, but the way this classes are constructed it helped me realized how easy it is to understand. Complex? Yes, but possible! It was so gratifying of an experience that I just want to do more! Highly recommended.

I think it was an excellent opportunity to learn new things. I would absolutely recommend it because I think that there are not many spaces made specifically for women and dissidents where these skills can be learned. I found it to be a wonderful and enriching experience. The world of coding is a space that I am just getting to explore and I loved learning it from a place that was so friendly, so simple, and in my own time. I think that the most remarkable thing that this workshop has, is that everything is very clear, the content and the lessons are very pedagogical and there are many opportunities where one can ask, and I believe that this is fundamental in an educational process.

This is my first time taking classes online and it really exceeded my expectations. The flexibility and constant communication were what helped me to continue. It really makes you want to keep learning.
This beginner course was amazing! I never thought I could learn so much in three weeks having tried other types of courses before (without success). It's really easy to follow all of the classes and the challenges along the way helps you put into practice everything you've learned. I fully recommend it.
The lessons kept me engaged and motivated to go through every challenge. I had a basic knowledge of HTML and CSS, but I learned a lot during this workshop!
I'm an EFL teacher who due to the pandemic had to change the way I was teaching. Thus, I started interacting more with the digital world and found SheCodes. This platform not only help me understand how websites are built but also how to get creative in order to make new things. Now, I'm even more interested into how to include everything I learned into my teaching methods and how to connect the coding world with the new era of education.
I really liked the workshop. I'm so very grateful for have the opportunity to do it, the explanations of each lesson were very easy to understand. I'm sure that I'll use this knowledge that I have now about fronted in my workplace.

I have really enjoyed the lessons so far. I had studied for a while on my own, but I was still having lots of trouble connecting the dots, and truly understanding how everything works to apply it on my own. Matt explains things in little bits - he breaks it down in a way that helps me put the dots together and truly understand how/why something works. Now, I am starting to feel more comfortable knowing how to use the code for my own creations. I am excited to start SheCodes Plus!
Whew! What could I say this time? Well, I can surely say that, if after finishing the first SheCodes workshop I enjoyed learning to code, now I've definitely fell in love with it. Matt is an amazing instructor, and the lessons were really clear and well-organized. I definitely learned so much from him. The deadlines are also reachable, I could manage even though this time my days were busier than the time I was part of the first workshop. I'm really happy to have been part of SheCodes Plus, mainly because it helped me to realize that I definitely want to keep learning about coding (I'm decided to be a programmer), and it gave me a great base to continue my studies here now.
This first workshop was a fun way to learn how to code. I highly recommend SheCodes to every women who wants to learn a new skill or want to keep learning of what she already knows. I'll continue this journey with the other workshops of SheCodes !

I had learned a bit about coding before this workshop, but I have to admit I had so much fun learning here on SheCodes. I especially liked the self-paced timing for the lessons, and the fact that after every lesson there was a challenge, which made learning easier. If you ask me if I would recommend SheCodes workshops, I would say definitely yes. In these 3 weeks, I feel I learned a lot.
At the first I was scary about the programing languages and all the codes. But when I start it, it becomes more interesting and fun. And it helpsme to improove my knowledge about english, so I'm really happy with this first three weeks.
