This workshop was a great hands-on introduction to HTML/CSS and JavaScript! Matt is a great teacher and the SheCodes community is a fantastic, welcoming place. For someone who used to be too intimidated to try coding, this has been an encouraging first step. I'm more than excited to continue learning JavaScript in the near future.

I've wanted for a long time now to learn more about coding and web developing etc. but I've been hesitating because I thought you needed advanced mathematics or other skills I did not possess plus a lot of money... Attending the SheCodes workshop was the best decision I could have taken. SheCodes Plus requires a little bit more concentration and gives you a hint about how the real coding job would look like, but the course itself was alike SheCodes Introduction βvery well built and made as easy to understand as possible.
The SheCodes online workshop gave me a good understanding of the basics of frontend development. I enjoyed the challenges and working on my own project a lot. Now looking forward to start with the next part of the workshop!
I enjoyed the Workshop course more than I ever could have imagined and cannot wait to continue my coding journey. The course is engaging and immersive, both an absolute must for me when learning online. Matt does a wonderful job explaining the concepts and language of coding clearly while not spoon-feeding the information. It was very fulfilling to be given the tools to discover and create on my own. Kudos to the support staff on Slack as well. They are extremely attentive to student's questions and problems. I appreciate how they guide students to the answers rather than giving them outright.

I'm so glad I took this workshop! I tried a number of different resources over the past few years attempting to learn to code, and had almost decided to just give up because nothing made sense and I thought I just wasn't smart enough to understand it. But SheCodes presented everything clearly and in a way that *didn't* make me want to hurl my computer across the room in frustration. π

This course was a great way to learn the basics of coding. In the beginning I wasn't sure if I would like it, but after a few lessons I started to really enjoy it. It's great that the beginners course is only 3 weeks. In the future, Im definitely gonna take the advanced course!

I am glad I tried out SheCodes! Last time I did any coding at all was 5 years ago and I barely remembered anything. SheCodes is the best way to transition into the coding world, whether you are a novice or slightly knowledgable. And the community and support is really satisfying. So many different perspectives to a solution from an international community, much like how coding is: different right solutions to a problem π
Lessons were "bite-sized" and easy to follow along. Additionally, I received prompt support when needed. The way the lessons are laid out has a great balance between lecture + research on your own. I look forward to the next workshop and am very excited to apply my learnings in future projects!

Very well taught and fun! I used to think coding was out of the question for me, as I have some trouble learning. In SheCodes I found an organized and clear way of teaching I could actually get along with, that kept me motivated!
Very interactive class. I have taken other online classes, but this by far taught me the best. Each challenge and homework really solidified the topics taught in each lesson. The lesson, although short, did a great job of breaking concepts down into teachable modules. Highly recommend!
I am so happy I decided to continue on my SheCodes journey. SheCodes Plus was challenging in the best way possible. The lessons and online support from the Intro workshop are still there to guide you, but this course really forces you to step up the pace and step outside your comfort zone. I can't believe how much I learned in 8 weeks.
I loved the class, luckily I had taken a couple others before this one, so I followed along a little easier with some of the sections. You definitely have to be a fast learner to keep up. This class was a lot of fun, I and enjoyed all the hands on workshops, with easy access to help if I needed it.

I'm a high school student and given that I had no prior knowledge or experience with coding or HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I expected to be drowning in work by the end of the first week. Needless to say, that was not the case! This workshop is perfect for anyone who has an interest in learning a new skill and is willing to put in the work!
I found SheCodes by accident on Instagram and I was immediately drawn in. I loved every part of it. So easy to follow and clear. I love challenges and with no previous coding experience, this was definitely that. The satisfaction in creating my own work of art from scratch with everything that Matt taught me is immense. Taking this course has been the best decision so far! Matt has been so cooperative since the very beginning. The best course to start your coding adventure!
Aside from dabbling in a few free apps, I had never coded before trying this course. I wasn't sure where to start. This course has proved the perfect introduction, and I feel fortunate to have found it. There is a great balance between teaching and having to put your learning into practice, and really interesting and useful introductions to 'thinking like a developer': using developer tools, learning to find good sources of information when you don't know something, and working solutions out for yourself. Highly recommend this course. It is easy but not simple, it has the right pace of learning and teaching and doing. It does everything you need in order to start from scratch and really feel you have learned something.
I really enjoyed this workshop! I believe it is very good to learn step by step, therefore i found great the idea to have short videos explaining one Topic, after to have a practical exercise and finally get an explanation/potential solution of.
I believe learning to code will bring your career one step further, especially as a graphic designer. It should feel totally amazing when you could bring your designs to life. SheCodes really help me to understand coding in the most simple way and it doesn't necessarily have to take too much of your time to learn!π

This workshop has been challenging but also fun! Even though I was a beginner the examples and videos are very useful.
I have throughly enjoyed the 3 week introductory course! :) I came into SheCodes not knowing a single thing about coding and in a short amount of time I have learnt so much. I am now looking forward to continuing on with SheCodes React! I am really pleased with the structure and learning style of SheCodes, Matt is a great teacher and provides clear videos that make learning enjoyable. We always have the opportunity to put what we have learnt into practice by completing mini exercises and homework submissions. The communication is really clear throughout the course, if you ever get stuck we can raise questions on a shared Slack group where students can help each other out but there is a also a hands on team ready to help too!

I truly enjoyed SheCodes! After the first three weeks of working on my project, I knew I found the perfect workshop for me. It was organized, detailed and easy to follow along, not to mention, help is available 24/7. SheCodes Plus was a bit challenging, but I love a challenge! After taking both workshops I will say Tech life is definitely for me.
It's been a pleasant surprise enrolling in SheCodes workshop and now SheCodes Plus. I had no experience in coding whatsoever and it allowed me to learn a lot and be more prepared for a digital world. And most importantly, it feels like I have super powers now! Thanks to all the team.
A great intro to coding for someone who has never coded before. I particularly appreciated the practice-based structure of the course - every short instruction video is followed by a hands-on puzzle-like challenge, which really helps keep one interested and motivated. I have also found the technical support from staff on Slack very quick and helpful. Would highly recommend!

The weekly challenges and homework were not easy but were broken down into digestible pieces, and I was able to successfully complete the workshop during weekends and after work. Matt provides really clear and concise recorded lessons with follow-up videos to walk you through each challenge and assignment's recommended solution. If more guidance is ever needed, additional help is always available over Slack. I do not have a math or programming background, yet I was able to grasp the concepts and after completing the weather app project, I feel more confident in my understanding and ability to read and create code to build useful applications. I recommend the SheCodes Plus workshop to anyone who has completed the 3-week introduction workshop, and wants to learn more!

I can't believe after three weeks I made a website from scratch! π The classes were broken down into bite-size pieces that gave you just the right amount of information to digest and were supplemented with a challenge problem to practice and solidify the knowledge. Every lessons builds on topics learned previously so you feel very prepared to tackle the homework at the end of each week. The final project was a culmination of everything learned previously. Great class to take if you want to learn the basics of coding without ever being bored.

The course is very well paced and Matt is a great instructor. Learning react is challenging but also very fun once you start getting the hang of it. You can always re watch the lessons if you didn't understand something and ask for help if you get stuck. This course is perfect for React beginners and I definitely recomment taking it if you like coding.

SheCodes makes its easier to learn the basics of Web Development. It also offers 24 hour help through Slack and some exercises so that you wont forget what you just learned. It also gives you some challenges and makes you think a bit for logical resolutions. I finished the first workshop in 3 days but they give you 3weeks so you can learn at your pace. Just pay attention to the deadlines! :D

I was always intimidated by coding. I didn't understand why people enjoyed spending hours at a computer, and the words they were writing did not make sense to me. However, I became very intrigued by coding because I knew that it is really useful to learn. SheCodes gave me the confidence to code! The lessons taught were fun and easy to follow. I now understand how coders can spend hours at their computers--they are doing work that they love! This is definitely a course for anyone and everyone to try. You won't be disappointed! π
