I never imagined purely HTML and CSS to be this time consuming but SheCodes made the learning fun and I enjoyed it so much. Creating a website from scratch, let alone your own personal website, is as exciting as it is frustrating. Being both a designer and a developer is indeed hard, but I think this is my favorite workshop so far. I really learned a lot here since it's more hands-on than the first two. Can't wait for the next one!

I feel myself in the beginning of a fantastic journey to discover the world of coding. I built an entire app! 7 weeks ago I couldn't say that and didn't have the slightest idea how. There is no way I could have achieved this through learning on my own and even if I had, it would be following some template instead of creating my own stylized version. I cant believe I have a working app! I cant wait to move onto the Responsive and React workshops to make this even better.

I had a lot of fun during SheCodes Plus, the classes were very clear and the support from the Slack community very helpful. I enjoyed having some freedom regarding the design of the final project which enables each student to be creative and do something that fits their personality. The final project is also something the students can showcase in their portfolio for those who want to become developers which is a great asset.

The Basic course its great especially if you are quite intimidated by coding but still curious and eager to learn some basics concepts of what this immense world seems to be! The explenations are very exhaustive and the little challenges along the lessons helps you getting in the way to understand how you should "think" if you want to solve whatever issue you're facing. Very raccomanded!

Within this course, I managed to finish this 5-week Responsive course within 3 weeks. It was not as intensive as I thought it would be as it focused on creating our portfolios, making the website responsive using Bootstrap and CSS Utility. Matt has given me a lot of cool yet important tips to make websites user-friendly on any device. All in all, I find this course super fun! And now I am looking forward to working with React. Matt is a very thorough instructor which is amazing. I didn't have any coding experience before and I feel confident moving into the coding world. I highly recommend take the course you will not regret it!
I was always so intimidated by coding & web development, it always seemed like an exclusive boys club to get into. Matt made me realize that this is not the case even in the first free introductory class I tuned in to. His videos are super comprehensive & there is an open slack chat as well, these give you all the tools you need to succeed! :)
Learning to code has been super fun! I was stumped a few times with my code, but then when I found the error and fix it, the sense of accomplishment and satisfaction was golden.
It was easy to understand, but I really didn't like that the teacher of the female coding class was a man.
I was an absolute beginner to coding. Matt broke down each lesson into super digestible chunks. Each lesson was interesting and fun! In addition, SheCodes has a super awesome and helpful team that is there to help you through assignments. I am so excited and looking forward to learning more!
The Responsive course was full of new information and techniques. I was able to experiment with various features of Bootstrap and learned a lot in the process. I will continue my coding adventure with some YouTube tutorials - my next step is to code some simple game.
I took my first CSS course in my freshman year of college, I failed, terribly. I was so discouraged I did not want to even look at my computer... But today, 8 years later, I decided to give it a try and see if I wasn't a complete failure (when it came to coding).. and let me tell you.. I am amazed! I understood (mostly) everything instructor Matt was presenting! I loved his teaching style, and could really understand all of his comparisons and analogies. Really grateful that I took this course.
I would highly recommend SheCodes for an introduction into programming! As someone who never coded a day in her life prior to the basics workshop, I had no idea what was possible, and this team delivered a fantastic, thorough training. After six months it's bittersweet for this course to come to an end, but I can't wait for what lies ahead using these skills. As Matt says, happy coding!

It was very fun to complete all the challenges. Specially the final project. Also, sometimes it was a little frustrating but it was totally worth it once it was all fixed. I really loved the workshop and I will definitely recommend others to give it a try!

It has been a fun experience built in a didactive way. I would recommend it to others, especially due to the self-paced aspect. In this way, you can watch multiple videos a day or not watch videos on certain days when you don't have time. Since the videos are short and rarely over 10 minutes long, it is easy to keep the concentration.
Hello SheCoders (and future SheCoders!) I really enjoyed the Basic Workshop classes. In these last 3 weeks I've been breathing, eating and sweating codes! which is absolutely amazing. I love coding but I needed the proper classes, the live chat guidance from professionals and colleagues, the project and the deadlines! It was a great way to push myself to get the challenges and project done. My personal experience with this course was great and now Im more sure I want to continue learning more coding !! Very thankful of all the things I learned! Happy coding!

I wish it had not taken me so long to convince myself to enroll! First it was just about understanding coding, so that I do not feel completely lost when my (mostly male) friends are talking about it. After one week of SheCodes Basics, and now also SheCodes Plus, it is suddenly about so much more - it truly is a challenge of your own creativity! I will be continuing my journey with SheCodes React, because now I know that coding is not just for boys! π
As someone who's always been really bad at IT and computer science, SheCodes has been so amazing in opening up this avenue for me! I feel so much more confident now, even after only three weeks. It truly is perfect for beginners and worth absolutely every penny.

SheCodes Plus takes SheCodes Basics to another level. This is an opportunity to really hone your programming skills and build a fully functional weather app with real live data. I have never built an app before and I am so happy that I can now say I have done so. There were some lessons that were super challenging but with the help from the amazing SheCodes tech team I managed to pull through.

My name is Umang Sharma, pursuing a B.Tech in Information Technology from KIET Group of Institutions. I live in Delhi. During these weeks I learned a lot through practice and perseverance.
When I was in college pursuing my Bachelors degree in print journalism with a minor in creative writing, I had come across coding and found it very interesting. Once I graduated in 2013, life got in the way specifically breathing (chronic asthmatic) I never got the chance to pursue coding more until now. My breathing is better and once I came across SheCodes I knew this was the place for me. I am excited for this new journey and for the knowledge to come!
I feel like SheCodes is such a game-changer for me. Starting with zero knowledge and now having the background to create my own website is truly amazing. I have learned so much and have gained a lot of confidence in my coding ability.
