I have enjoyed this class so far. I feel like it is setup in such a great way to encourage me to learn the web development technologies and actually have fun along the way. I like the class breakdown, support channels, deadlines to push us, and the fact that I can self-pace everything in my time.
I am grateful for everything I have learned during this course. There are various lessons and I found it helpful that they are broken down to make learning easier. With that the project was challenging but, there was help as needed and the community was amazing.
SheCodes Basic has given me a basic but well-rounded start to my journey towards being a front-end developer.

Iβm a student at NYU pursuing a program to learn VR development and I needed a crash course in html, css, and JavaScript. SheCodes Basics workshop worked out perfectly and honestly, was way easier than trying to find tutorials on YouTube - I spent 2 weeks learning more with SheCodes than I could have by myself. I am grateful to this amazing workshop.
I really loved SheCodes Basics. I always wanted to learn how to code but never really knew how to start and moreover where to start. Coming across Matts introductory seminar was pure luck but at the best of times! I learnt a lot and had lots of fun tackeling the challenges and the project at the end. It is very easy to follow and understand his videos. I learnt the basics of coding in concise yet very clear and informative videos, which I will definitely continue with when I have more time. A very good source to use if you are new to coding and you are not sure where to start! The mini challenges and assignments cements your knowledge too.

I had so much fun learning how to code this project! Working with APIs was especially challenging, but it's an awesome skill that I can hopefully put to use in my job. I highly recommend this course as someone very new to coding.

The Basics workshop was a great way to refresh skills I haven't used in a number of years. I liked Matt's teaching style, it's concise and to the point while also pointing you in the direction to be able to seek out your own answers.
This was my first time coding and thanks to the basic workshop I am now more familiar with basic concepts. For me the best part is that during the workshop they give us tools to keep learning after the course and to keep improving our coding.
Having worked in the asset management and banking sector for over 5 years and with a desire to learn new skills and explore a different field someone very close to me insisted that Technology was the next best thing to learn about and get into. I wasn't entirely sure where to start but had always been curious about coding and webdevelopment and initially thought it would be too hard to learn or that it could take years to grasp. SheCodes has not only made the whole experience fun, but surprisingly I found it quite easy to catch on to and within a matter of weeks I have built my very own page from scratch. This is the first time I have completed a course and thoroughly enjoyed every single part!
I have really enjoyed learning the basics. I love how creativity was taught. I look forward to the next class!
One month ago, I never imagined that one day I will be part of this community and now here I am. I am so happy and so proud that I am part of the SheCodes, even if it hasn't been so long since I started. One thing I am sure, I did not regret applying for this class and I will never regret it because SheCodes made me discover this new world, and I like it. I came to this workshop with a very basic level of coding experience so most of it was a refresher and I absolutely loved it because it reawakened in me a passion for this work. I'm super proud of myself for completing the first workshop and can't wait to move on to the next! I found the courses easy to follow and the challenges just challenging enough. I like that Matt encourages you to seek out the answers for yourself.

3 weeks back I didnβt know anything about coding, while today I am coding for about 3 hours continuously without sensing the passage of time! I greatly appreciated Matt and SheCodes team for giving me the opportunity of learning to code. I am not at an advanced level of English, but everything was stated very clearly and I had no problem with videos or descriptions.
I thoroughly enjoy this program. The material was comprehensive and fun to learn. I will defiantly take the next course.

When I started out with SheCodes, I was cautiously optimistic that I would be able to learn how to create and design websites remotely; without having a classroom setting for problem-solving and assistance. The combination of the videos and Slack, as well as the provided resources, have given me the confidence to continue learning and hopefully turn this hobby into something more.
The lessons are short but very detailed and full of useful points. And Matt is so experienced at teaching coding! I am so grateful that I took the basic course and I can't wait to start more advanced ones!

I found the course super useful to start getting some basic knowledge of coding. It's very interactive, and therefore way better than any other course I had tried.
This course was a lot of fun, it has helped me gain a basic understanding of the coding world. Parts are tricky but do not let that deter you, there is a lot to learn! I would recommend this programme to anyone who wants to learn and have fun doing so!

The videos are easy to follow. It's great being able to improve my understanding of web development and coding.
I was very apprehensive about learning to code as I was previously a History teacher for ten years and I wasn't sure if I would be able to pick it up. I had a very basic understanding of coding thanks to my partner who is a Full Stack Engineer. Through Matt's classes I have been able to increase my knowledge and put what I have learnt into practice. I still have a long way to go, however, I feel more confident now and I have even taught my boyfriend a few tricks and functions that he didn't know. I am looking forward to learning more with Matt and SheCodes.

As Matt said, there is a steep learning curve when it comes to React, but once youβre over the hurdle, it all makes sense. Coming from a creative background, I didnβt think I would be too interested in the functionality of building a website but React totally changed my perspective because the language of React and its logic is fascinating, and once learnt, it is much easier than Vanilla JS. I enjoyed every step of the way, and I am excited to start building other projects and learning more about API integration.
SheCode makes everything so easy and fun to learn.

I am extremely pleased with the SheCodes Responsive course. After completing SheCodes Plus, I was hesitant about continuing but thankfully I kept going. This course focuses on creating responsive websites. Because it builds on previous knowledge, I noticed that each time I was faster at creating websites. I really loved creating my own portfolio and sending it to friends and family so they could check with any device. Thank you!
I was very hesitant to sign up for this workshop because I had no experience with coding and work full-time, but I am so happy I did. I have learned so much in the last few weeks and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Considering a career change now that I have this new and very enjoyable skill. Just the knowledge and confidence I gained from completing the workshop was well worth the price and time.

This is a great course! I already had some previous knowledge, so having that information a long with taking this course has helped me become more comfortable with basic knowledge of building sites.
Having breezed through the SheCodes Basics course, I found the SheCodes Plus course to be a lot more challenging (in a positive way). The way the specific areas of the project were explained each week was very helpful and gave me a lot of information to digest. I'm pleased with my project and what I've accomplished in such a short amount of time!

Two months ago I had no idea how coding works. But once i heard about SheCodes, something had been changed in my goal for life. I have never thought that one day i will be interrested in coding until i started the first course. A lot of stuff which is being an addiction for me. Thanks to Shecodes i can prove that girl can also be a developper, especially in developing country as Madagascar. During this three weeks of coding i acquired many techniques on how to build an website, i discovered HTML, CSS,... And i will always be gratefull to Shecodes for giving this opportunity.

This course was challenging but definitely worth it. Going from just grasping the basics to building a working app was very rewarding. The learning curve was of course steep, but the step-by-step instructions made the whole process manageable.

SheCodes Plus Workshop has been wonderful, I am very happy since I made my first Api, the explanations in the platform has been really clear, and didactic. I could practice JavaScript and understand it more, specially when we develop the API and make it call. Personally, I want to become a Front End Developer, therefore I consider the workshop give us not only value resources, explanations but also good advises. I really recommend SheCodes plus since it makes the learning of programming languages like JavaScript more understandable.

I come from Poland and I work in Global Marketing as an eCommerce activation specialist at a multinational company at the age of 22, spending my evenings on writing for a charitable startup. But ever since I tried it, I've always been drawn to the IT world and coding. Front end and web development allows me to combine my marketing background with the work that I really enjoy.
I had a great time getting into the basics of coding. The online-workshops allowed me to work in my own schedule and at my own pace. The introduction course was just perfect for someone like me looking to deep her toes into the coding pool.

I was scared but excited to start this course!
