This was a great beginner workshop! I thoroughly enjoyed building my own website. Matt's teaching style was easy to understand, but he also challenged us to think outside of the box and be creative. I highly recommend this course!
Learning how to code by yourself can be frustrating. I can confidently attest to that. However, everything seems much easier now with the guidance of this amazing soul Matt Delac. It has never been this fun and fulfilling trust me. It has been an amazing journey so far and I look forward to the next workshops. SheCodes helped me a lot to brush up my deteriorating HTML, CSS and JSS skills. I really liked that the videos are short but include a challenge which is really good to get your hands-on. Especially for me because I'm quite impatient, don't learn well from videos and want to get started right away, the course structure was very helpful for me. It was a great experience and a good balance between flexibility and sticking to the schedule. I'll do all workshops at SheCodes because I want to become better in Front-End Development and I would recommend the Basics workshop for everyone, no matter if you already know some basics or just want to figure out whether it's something for you or not. As always learning with SheCodes is simply fun! The videos and challenges are perfectly divided into manageable bits and the course material is so nicely structured, clear and straightforward. Matt is very good in explaining the topics and the team helping via Slack is just doing a fantastic job. What makes this so enjoyable is that you can move forward at your own pace while still feeling perfectly guided. It's so great to see the progress when building towards a final project and being able to shape your own ideas with CSS and Bootstrap in this course!
I absolutely loved it! I particularly loved the teaching style and how complex topics were broken down into bite-sized pieces. That helped me to understand the logic, which is so important. I also loved all the resources available - from cheatsheets to real-life people ready to help out on slack. Can't wait to sign up for the next workshop π

Great workshop for front-end developers!
I have really enjoyed the course and the mini practices after each lesson. The steps were easy to follow but it still felt like a challenge to complete the homework at the end of each week. If someone is interested to understand some basics, SheCodes is worth the investment as the deadlines keep you motivated to complete the course.

It was very easy explained even though the first week has been a very tough one (usually more than 5 hours) . All in all i would recommend this to everyone who wants a hands-on workshop!

I really enjoyed SheCodes Basics. I learned a lot, had fun, and seek to learn more and more.
I took a gamble on this course, with absolutely no coding experience, I didn't even know what a html was. I have learnt so much in just 3 weeks, I'm very impressed with how well Matt teaches the course and brings up your knowledge at a great pace. I am usually terrible with deadlines and completing work but I was genuinely excited for my lessons and was very satisfied when I learnt a new skill or language. Thank you Matt for a fantastic course and I'm excited to grow my knowledge further.

React is definitely more advanced but Matt always tries his best to explain everything step-by-step. The team is always ready to help us out at slack whenever we encounter problems and have been a great help to my projects! I'm definitely interested to learn more from here on!

My coding journey started end Sept 2021, with the Basic workshop - I've always fancied understanding computer and web programming languages better, and finally had the bandwidth for it during a work lull. Much to my surprise nerding out in this way was not only satisfying but actually enjoyable. SheCodes Plus was a progression that I really hesitated taking up because of work and life commitments - it tested not only patience and meticulousness, but also definitely increased my appreciation for code as a medium of expression and vital mode for data sharing... and my literacy in the annoyingly hairy weird wonderful world of HTML, CSS, and JS. Definitely glad I was persuaded, and gladder to have stuck the course.

Before SheCodes the inner workings of a website felt like some kind of secret magic that only a select few could understand. Now, having completed the workshop, I feel much more knowledgeable about these elusive inner workings though I still have a way to go to get to where I want to be.
The course is very well structured, easy to understand and the challenges keep your attention up while also giving you the chance to practice what you've just learned. Overall it was an incredibly satisfying experience :)
To start with, this is my first ever workshop, and I'm so happy to say that I enjoyed and learned many new things. I'm delighted about this SheCodes workshop. It motivated me in finding what I needed to, and the workspace admins also cleared the doubts in time, and I was able to make new friends through the social platform slack and improve myself.
I come from a healthcare background, so I was a bit intimidated to start a coding course. I was happily surprised! After getting used to the set-up, I was able to understand and complete the challenges and projects with more ease than I expected. Matt is a great teacher and when I had questions, they were easy to post and receive answers about on Slack. I am so glad that I decided to start this and plan to continue all the way through!
It was so much fun to create own webpage by my self! Actually it has been so busy working and learning coding at the same time, but coding helps me avoid thinking about my hectic real life. I extended some weeks to finish this project due to work, but SheCode team gave me extra time and it made me not give up coding.
It has been an exciting and inspiring journey in the world coding. I have learned a lot and gained knowledges about coding. I can't believe how much I've learned in such little time! It hasn't been easy but thankfully there is so much support. This has truly been a great learning experience and can't wait to continue on.
I really love SheCodes flexibility. I had a really busy end of the year and couldn't keep up with SheCodes weekly deadline, thankfully I didn't need to start the responsive course right after finishing the plus. Instead I managed to take my time to get my work and school matters done and came back to finish the responsive course, I was so free I finished a 5 week course in 2 weeks. Now I will take some very deserved vacation and then finish the react course!
I feel a lot more comfortable working with HTML and CSS after completing this workshop.
A really challenging but fun and rewarding course. I learnt and achieved more than I ever felt possible and am really proud of what I produced! I loved being able to do the course in my own time and being able to take breaks when I needed a week off. This course was a very good introduction to coding - basic, of course, but it really walks you through the principles of it all in a very clear and structured way you do not find elsewhere, and with as much support as you want/need. Looking forward to the next SheCodes workshops!

I have zero tech background and so following this course, understanding and putting it into practise made me feel so empowered and proud of myself! I think SheCodes is a great solution for people who don't have much coding knowledge. Matt is a great instructor and the preivous videos are always available if you have any doubts. Besides that, the Slack community is great! You can ask questions and you get answered super fast. For me, one of the best online courses I have ever signed up for. Starting SheCodes React very soon!

I loved the SheCodes Basics Workshop. I didn't have any coding experience and I didn't know anything about what is taught in SheCodes. During the workshop, I was always thinking that it was going to be in the next lesson that I wouldn't understand the content, but that never happened! The short videos with MattΒ΄s clear and straightforward explanations guide you step by step and cement knowledge, one on top of the other. From the beginning I had no doubts that I was really learning and IΒ΄ve completed the challenges and projects with confidence in what I was doing. And to get to know some coding and learning tools used by professionals is really valuable. If you, like me, have realized that programming skills can make your projects come true, SheCodes Basics is a wonderful and very useful way to get started. On the other hand, if you still need to understand if programming can help you with something, it will certainly be enlightening. Congratulations to the SheCodes team for their amazing work!
This was such a useful workshop and I am glad I took part in it as I am now able to make any website responsive and easy to view on any device, irrespoective of its viewport size
Finally finished SheCodes+ and now I'm looking forward to learn more in SheCodes Responsive! The deadlines helped me to keep on track, as being a "scanner personality" isn't always easy to keep staying motivated and finishing all at once. Even if I needed more time for other projects or workshops, it was really helpful to restart the workshop and begin again. Thank you Matt for the valuable examples and resources!

I signed up for basic 3 week course. It's definitely doable when working full time job if you do 1 hour a day for 5 days a week and spend one of the days in weekends doing the homework assignment. It was a good learning experience for me :)
