I have always been far from IT and started the course with a little fear and uncertainty, albeit with great desire. But I can assure you that there is absolutely nothing to be afraid of - everything is thought out to the smallest detail in the course: the lessons are short and understandable, the tasks are feasible, and the team and other students are always ready to help :)

Before this course I had 0 knowledge about coding and, honestly, I've never been very good with technology. However, after these 3 weeks I can say that, in fact, it isn't that difficult! Doing the project was difficult and sometimes frustrating, but with every mistake I learned more and more. I'm glad I decided to take on this challenge.
I am very proud of myself! I never thought that I will be able to manage such a difficult topic as it seemed to me before. But SheCodes does incredible things! They are the best one! I will recommend them for sure!

I believe that the main task of any training is to give a charge of optimism and inspiration for any action, the birth of ideas and the emergence of new goals. SheCodes team completely coped with this task. I have new ideas where I can apply the acquired knowledge for myself and how it will help me in my work. Isn't it exciting to know computers and be able to build a career creating websites, mobile apps and more? I communicate with IT specialists every other time and see how they work wonders (βenter codesβ). I was intrigued but didn't have the courage to start a programming course until I got into the SheCodes refugee program. https://www.shecodesfoundation.org/ukraine At first, I thought that when I join SheCodes, I would study programming just to improve my life and the lives of the people around me, to be able to know how a programming language comes into being, create those scripts that I saw how guys from IT started at work. The first week of training made me think about changing my goal from searching around myself to searching for the international community. There is power in sharing knowledge. The way SheCodes shares her programming experience is the same way I want to learn and be able to pass it on to the younger generation. Programming solves problems. This simplifies tedious routine work. just a few seconds and the task is completed. Work just got easier, right? Once a problem is solved, more time is created for other things, making one job more productive, efficient, and effective. I find that some programs take less than thirty minutes to write and will probably save me dozens of hours in the long run. frustration at the click of a button that starts a script.
I really love the program, because I was able to learn new things and it inspired me to work on more beautiful projects. What I love most is their feedback and how accessible the team is.
I have really enjoyed this SheCodes workshop. There was a lot of problem solving involved, so it's very rewarding to figure things out. Once again, I was able to work at my own pace and finish ahead of schedule. I'm ready to start my React workshop!

This course was extremely fun to complete. The educational videos were easy to follow and with a good number of homework exercises to guarantee that we would put into practice everything that we were learning. This is a great way to learn how to code and I recommend to everyone. I'm very proud of my final project as I would never imagine I would be able to build something like this when I started the course with zero code knowledge or experience. Thank you!!
Great and easy course to follow
For somebody who hated coding in high school I really enjoy learning more and more about it. The approach itself is very forwarding and friendly and makes me eager to learn more through advanced classes.

As a non-technical person, I sometimes work with the tech team, but I am not familiar with the specifics of what they do. SheCodes provides instant gratification with each challenge. Instead of introducing dry, impersonal jargon to memorize, Matt makes coding interesting with accessible wording and examples. The pace of the Basics program was easy to keep up with on my own schedule and I was inspired and eager to create more than required.

I had wanted to learn to code years ago, but life took a different turn. Now, 16 years later, I'm finally doing it thanks to this really great workshop! Although it might sound a bit intimidating to learn to code a landing page with HTML, CSS, and Java Script in just 3 weeks, its actually not bad at all. The lessons are bite size and well explained. The slack help community is also definitely a bonus, as I had a couple questions that were easily answered in there. Overall, the format is engaging and motivating without being too demanding or stressful. I'm looking forward to the rest of the workshops :)
It's been a great experience learning the basics of coding. I do feel like I learned a new skill. The playlist that Matt makes are a bonus!

Coding has provided the challenge I needed at this stage in my life. I am in the process of making a career change, so I knew I needed to upskill to remain relevant in the job market. SheCodes provides in-depth training from knowledgeable people who want to see women of all ages and backgrounds succeed in the emerging tech industry. I am excited to see how I can apply coding in the next stage of my life.
Very Informative and reliable when it comes to providing resources however there was some information that was left out during the lessons that I had to look up myself such as how to display your work in your browser. "Open with Live Sever" in Visual Studio Code. Also left out for the final project how to get the background to display the palettes.
It was a great experience and I enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks a lot.

This was probably my most challenging workshop yet with SheCodes. Despite my struggles, the people at SheCodes helped me throughout the entire course! I never expected to be able to make my own portfolio website! I look forward to taking the React workshop soon!
Workshop was nicely paced. The lessons built on top of each other well so that you could work your way up to the project in a methodical way.

I was a former college woman's basketball player and towards the end of my senior year, I was blessed enough to stumble upon the free class that SheCodes was offering. I've always loved puzzles, solving problems, and creativity so once I took the class, discovered how interested I was in coding and creating different bodies of work. I was a student so I was able to receive a discount that really helped me be able to take the class. Five months later, I am now graduated and finished with my 3rd workshop! I've also discovered a new hobby and a bright future in tech! Thank you SheCodes for allowing me to be a part of a bright, growing, and supportive community!

This was a great beginning to CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. The homework projects were fun and manageable, and I never felt overwhelmed.
This workshop was amazingly easy to follow and it gives incredible results. Matt explains coding really well and makes it really fun to learn.

Good course. Since I wanted to learn to code for the longest time I was really happy to have found SheCodes. I was motivated sometime frustrated but did my best and finish the SheCodes Basics. If you are thinking about it just do it!

I really loved how this class is presented and structured. The challenges after each section really helped me retain and understand everything really well and it was really nice to have Slack available for any questions. I enjoyed this class so much that it actually solidified my plans for a career change into software development! Wow. React is indeed an amazing tool and I am very glad and thankful that it was included in SheCodes curriculum. Like in all the other workshops, Matt guides you step by step through a well-structured learning path and you keep accumulating super powers ;) If you understand HTML/CSS/JavaScript (e.g., if you have completed the other SheCodes workshops), I truly think that you should check for yourself what you can do with React. Probably it will fit perfectly as the solution for that project you are dreaming aboutβ¦ I canβt recommend SheCodes enough for all who want to learn front-end programming. This is a very cool workshop. I highly recommend it and I most definitely will continue on to the next SheCodes workshop. The lessons are very well structured and Matt is a very good instructor. I took an HTML course a while back but I was rusty because I hadn't used it in years. Now that has changed and all I can say is that re-learning HTML, CSS, and JS has been very enjoyable and it will certainly be of value to my career.

I love codingπ so thank you SheCodes, also I suggested this workshop to my sister and her friend, because this workshop is very useful and conveyed information easily. I learned html, CSS and JavaScript in just 3 weeks.
