I really liked the sheCode Basic course! Matt did a great job explaining things in a simple way, especially when it came to JavaScript. They made it easy to learn, and I feel like I gained useful coding skills. The course was also a friendly and supportive place to learn. I am a Full Time Registered Nurse at the bedside that has been looking for an alternate career path. I decided to dip my toes into the tech world with SheCodes because it let me do just that without committing to an entire 8-24 month long commitment at a formal university; and I am so glad I did it because I'm learning how much projects matter more than an institution name and 4 year programs! I also love that they offer shorter workshops to try out coding before committing to a larger investment, which many alternatives require of prospective students without them even having tried coding. The learning segments are easy to digest, homework and challenges are very straight forward and they teach you real life ways to find help before reaching out to their technical support. It is very organized and easy to follow. All in all, I have to say I'm impressed. I've only done the 3 week workshop and already have a project that I can put on my portfolio and that has given me the confidence to proceed with the SheCodes Max. Coding can be very engaging. Each line of code, if it works, causes something to happen in the console. Watching your idea take shape step-by-step is a blast. And the feeling after discovering a bug (and fixing it) is hard to replicate.
Web design and front-end development is something I've always wanted to have a go at but never quite new where to start, finding this course has been a great help as it's given me good base understanding of it with helpful tutorials and having a practice with each new step learned was incredibly helpful. This has really sparked an interest in coding and web development and something I want to continue.
Completing the SheCodes workshop has opened up new doors for me both personally and professionally. I now feel equipped with the knowledge and skills to pursue coding projects independently and to collaborate with others in the tech community. The Responsive course was very useful. You get to build your own multi-page portfolio website, while learning some important tools that help make your code responsive to any device.

My coding journey with SheCodes continues to be a positive experience. Matt Delac's instructional videos are direct and concise showing each step with clear directions and explanations. The organization of the course, all the supportive materials and access to SheCodes Athena-AI coding assistant are the tools I use to learn and write my code. I know I can return to the lessons for clarification when needed. I appreciate Matt's acknowledgement that the material can be challenging to understand. He demonstrates that if the code doesn't work the first time, don't panic, just try to use the clues and find where it breaks and try again. He always offers encouragement and injects a positive spirit into the process by telling us to have fun with what we are learning. I know that may seem like a minor detail but it creates a positive mindset. I want to take what I've learned and try out some other APIs. Umm... It was a tough few weeks! It was way more challenging then basic one, Of course I should of known that. But it was fun. I got to learn how to make a "Weather App", now that was cool. I had never considered coding as a hobby or career option, now I can see both in my future. Coding is fun! I'm so glad to be learning coding with SheCodes and Amazing Teacher "Matt".

I loved this add on. I learnt so much so quickly and it wasn't overwhelming. I keep thinking I am never going to understand these new "languages" but then I do things automatically now so I know by the end of the course I will understand so much more.
