I still can't believe I did this. Few months ago I had no idea what html and css were, and don't even get me started on java script. But today the story is different. If I can do this, then you can. Besides the fact that Matt is a great instructor, Shecodes lessons are well paced to suit just about anyones routine and attention span.
The thing I like about SheCodes is how simple it explains everything which helps you a lot in the beginning. I really enjoyed this workshop and learned a lot.

As someone keen on deepening my understanding of web development, the Add On Plus course was a game changer. It delved into advanced topics like HTML input types, the select element, JavaScript timing events, date formats, and time zones. What stood out for me was the comprehensive exploration of JavaScript and its APIs, bridging the gap between mere coding and actual design implementation. The course was undoubtedly challenging, pushing my boundaries beyond the basic courses I had taken earlier. However, the practical exercises were instrumental in highlighting my growth. The hands-on approach, especially with complex JavaScript functionalities, solidified my learning and boosted my confidence. A significant part of this learning journey was the integration of GitHub. This platform was not just a repository for my code; it became a dynamic learning tool. GitHub tracked my progress, pinpointed errors, and, most importantly, showcased my accomplishments. The visual representation of my progress was not only motivating but also a powerful testament to how much I had learned and achieved.
Enjoyed the basic add-on lessons. I find it very useful in solidifying the fundamental knowledge, especially for the Javascript.
I joined this add-on workshop after I completed the Basics Workshop and honestly I loved this course and it was so nice to dig a little bit deeper in the world of HTML, CSS and JS. 10/10 would recommend to anybody who would love to further their skills.

I found this course to be more at my speed (no javascript) and helpful. I know I could make a website portfolio for somebody else and/or a business and make it look decent. I had to do an extension because I was trying to go above and beyond with no real time to actually do the work. But I don't regret it I'll just get back to it when I do have the time.
React adds a whole new level to code. Really cool to see what all you can do!

As a young woman, I was never really encouraged to pursue a career in software engineering. In fact, I was often told that it was a male-dominated field and that I would have a hard time fitting in. But I decided to pursue my passion for coding and take a software course anyway. It was tough at first, but I was determined to succeed. I found a supportive community of like-minded women online, and I used my experiences to create a platform for other women who wanted to break into tech.
Really good course with the combination videos(theory) and challenges(tasks). In a short time you can learn just the basics, which motivates you to keep going!

It was very fun to do! I have a physics and arts background, but I was always afraid of coding. So once I got the hand of the course and saw that I am actually capable of learning, I became motivated and excited thinking how I can convey and display all my ideas, designs and likings in this type of environment.

This was a great into into programming! I do think there should be a variety of steps that are easy to track back to for when a busy person returns and needs a quicker refresher.
This last workshop was very helpful, it helped me to understand what I need to search for a job as a Front-end developer. I'm very grateful for all the workshops and for finding SheCodes, it was great journey and I learned a lot.

The support from the SheCodes and resources available online made the journey enjoyable. I never felt alone in my learning process, and the abundance of tutorials made problem-solving much more accessible. The sense of accomplishment after completing each project was a powerful motivator to keep pushing myself. Today, I stand amazed at how far I've come. What once seemed like a complex and daunting world of coding is now a realm where I feel confident and excited to explore more.
The last workshop of this year is finished and with it the great project Dictionary in React JS! I am very excited about the whole year that I have dedicated to Web Development with SheCodes and I'm looking forward to the challenges that other new projects will bring me in the new year of 2024!

Once again, I am impressed with all I have learned. I found some lessons tricky and I needed to watch them again a second time, but thanks to the amazing explanations and challenges, I could learn, practice and master it! The best part for me was seeing Matt coding in "real-time" in a broad project because I find that very realistic.
