Learning how to code was a transformative experience for me. Initially, it felt overwhelming like learning a new language. But as I progressed, each challenge turned into an opportunity to sharpen my problem-solving skills and think more logically. One of the most fulfilling moments was writing my first working script, seeing lines of code turn into a functional program. It gave me a sense of empowerment and creativity that I hadnβt experienced before. What surprised me the most was how coding became a way of thinking, not just about software but about how to approach challenges in general. It opened doors to endless possibilities, allowing me to create things from scratch, automate tasks, and even collaborate with others in entirely new ways. It was not an easy journey but am glad I did not quit.

I had an incredible experience with the SheCodes React workshop led by Matt Delac! I have been truly enjoying this program. Coding seemed hard but Matt is making it easier and fun. I have learned so much and cannot wait to learn more.
Second round, I would say this is where the challenge was. Things started going uphill but i managed to learn a lot and challenge myself more. Again, the content was easy to take in in terms of being understandable, so thank you, Shecodes team.
This was so far the hardest workshop for me to follow. At times I just needed to focus on re-typing what was shown in the tutorial instead of figuring things on my own. During the other workshops I followed I thought the pace was more comfortable for me - challenging, but still fun. This one was sometimes too fast and therefore a bit frustrating. The most complex thing to follow for me were multiple new components and loops (my brain still does not completely grasp the syntax). Nevertheless, I am happy with the end result and maybe with enough practice the new concepts will become more familiar and automatic.
The React workshop has been the most brain racking thus far. It was challenging but rewarding to apply the new skills learned to build a Weather app using React. Happy with my experience, looking forward to whats next!

Challenging and informative.
I recently completed the SheCodes Basics Add-on, and it was fantastic! Building on what I learned in SheCodes Basics, this course took my front-end development skills to the next level. I learned how to create a website landing page from scratch, packed with cool features and engaging elements using advanced HTML, CSS, and JavaScript techniques. This Shecodes plus workshop has been nothing but engaging. Just when I thought I'd grasped Javascript, Matt turned my world upside downπ. It's been a lovely and wild ride and I can't be thankful enough to Matt and the team.
I did my best to learn every steps, it was really great and I have learned a lot .
The entire learning process is just so satisfying. After completing the Basic Add-on project I feel like I want to continue challenging myself. Matt is an awesome instructor, he explains everything so good, like he is your classmate and a straight-A student trying to help you with your homework.
I had some previous experience with HTML when I used to play with the code of my MySpace profile, but that was about it. I enjoyed learning more about coding, and the course was easy to follow and keep up with.
So grateful to have come across SheCodes, Matt is an excellent teacher! Really enjoyed every single lesson :)

Learning React was fun and challenging, with this one I need to learn more but it is a great starter for learning React.

I have enjoyed taking the course and learning the basics of coding with HTML, CSS & Javascript.
This has been a really interesting journey! In my daily work as a 3D animator I have always used scripts and tools to make my life easier. They've always been super handy - but I've never understood how they worked. Now I can look at most of them and understand the mechanics behind - which is a pretty awesome feeling. I hope that with time I'll be able to create my own tools to benefit my workflow.
