The final project really pushed my limits and I found myself having some much fun exploring new ways to code. I especially loved the bonus challenges as it really made me think for a creative way to code my project. There's not one way to do a certain thing and that's really awesome! I really appreciate the videos from the instructor as well, it helped in case I missed something or there was a more constrcutive way to code my idea.

I really enjoyed the SheCodes Plus workshop. It was definitely difficult at times but Matts videos are very useful and the support on Slack when you are really stuck is super helpful. It always feels good when it works and it does what you want it to do!

I started from zero, two weeks ago, I opened the first video and I was hooked :) Matt is a great teacher, the videos are clear and walk you through every step. I have finally completed the React course of SheCodes. It's a lot of hard work, but it's also very fun (personally I enjoyed the React course WAY more than the SheCodes Plus course)! I was motivated with seeing my progress in real-time, and as always Matt's instruction is remarkable and easy to understand and follow. The rest of the SheCodes team is very helpful in answering questions as well. I love the fact that we can review course materials and videos as many times as we want, and that we have lifetime access to our completed course workshops! I'm definitely going to review and refer back to what I learned in my React course throughout my ongoing coding journey. I have learned so, so much. With SheCodes, I was able to learn to code from literally no experience at all, all the way to being comfortable with JavaScript React. I encourage any and all women interested in learning how to code to learn with SheCodes. I look forward to everything SheCodes has to offer in the future, and in the meantime I will get to work on my own projects independently now. Thank you so much for everything!

The Shecodes Basic Workshop was super fun and very thorough considering the actual lecture-videos with Matt are not that long. I did end up spending more than 5 hrs a week, but the challenges were engaging so I tended to end up playing around a lot.
This was a great way to solidify and reinforce the coding skills I already had - with some really clear instructional videos on how to develop the functionality you'd built on the previous task.
This was so much fun! There were some challenging lessons, but once you get over those humps, you feel so accomplished! I cannot believe I actually created a weather app!! Also, the training videos and lesson challenges were all easy to follow, and the structure of the course made it easy to follow. I am so proud of my project! Whoohooo! I did it!!, onto the next workshops! :)
After finishing SheCodes Plus, SheCodes React, and now SheCodes Responsive, I can't say enough about Matt and his SheCodes team! The videos are great and the team on Slack is super responsive to questions. I feel confident in the skills I've learned through all of these courses and and excited to start my new career in web development.

I had tried to learn coding languages a few months ago using Youtube videos and CodePen alone, and I ended up giving up because it didn't give me any structure to learn. I found SheCodes through Instagram and signed up for the free webinar and after a short into to HTML and CSS, I realized it really wasn't all that complicated. This course has been great in teaching me how to problem solve and organize my code, and I discovered I actually really enjoy the critical thinking skills that coding requires. I will be going onto learn more JavaScript and possibly some other in demand coding skills in the marketing sector, as I now have another skill I enjoy to pair with my passion for marketing.
Great for having some structure and deadlines to hold yourself to while you learn how to code. The amount of material is also very achievable to get through when you are limited on extra time to commit to learning (approx. 5 hours / week compared to 10+ hours with other programs. I also like the nice mix of bite size videos and exercises to get hands on practice with the concepts.
My brother and boyfriend both had coding classes in school and I did not. Until this workshop, the path to understanding coding seemed unattainable. Through this workshop I had the opportunity to finally bring light into the darkness.Thanks for the great videos that now make coding no longer seem incomprehensible.
I always hesitated to even start coding but SheCodes motivated me to explore JSS, CS and HTML. I had fun watching and learning from Matt's videos and applying my knowledge right after.
This was a super fun course and since I am a visual learner, the videos worked really well for me. It has been great to understand a topic that felt so foreign to me before this course. I have loved being part of a community of people from all over the globe. I also have a twin brother that is an amazing programmer and I have loved being able to learn and discuss coding with him! SheCodes Basic course was incredibly fun yet challenging! I was worried that it would be too difficult, but Matt Delac's videos were very well-paced. Each video would come with an objective for you to learn, and we are to follow up by applying the knowledge through mini 'Challenges'. By the end of the Basics course, I found myself having fun and breezing through the Project! Thank you Matt for the guidance and for giving me the confidence to code independently!
I wasn't sure what to expect when doing this course. After completing it I can confidently say I', happy to have done this course. The lectures were clear and easy to follow along. However, as it got harder/ or more real-world specific I would have liked to get more in-depth teaching in the videos. Overall a great beginner coding course.
Having worked as a Visual Merchandiser for almost 18 years, retraining was daunting but SheCodes was the perfect place to start. Having never coded before or even been in an IT environment, I found SheCodes to be a great introduction to coding. The clear presentation and explanation videos combined with manageable challenges and reasonable deadlines were perfect for someone completely new to the field. Bring on the next challenge!

It has been absolutely great taking this coding course. Because I work as a graphic designer and never learned to code in school I often found it difficult to understand and talk to developers. I wanted to learn how to actually bring my designs to life on the web but had no clue where to start. Matt broke it down very easily and the videos allowed me the freedom to learn at my own pace. What started off as a bit of a daunting "work chore" turned into something really fun! I definitely want to continue to code now!

Before Joining SheCodes, I always wanted to learn about coding. In the past, I tried watching YouTube videos or participating in free coding courses online but they either too advance or lack the ability to keep me focused. SheCodes Basics really got me engaged in coding. This 3-week course really made it easy to understand coding , and was so fun!!! I'm excited to move on into the 2 advanced workshops. Once I'm finished, I hope that I can find a great career in coding where I can continue expanding my knowledge.
The videos are well done and rich in information. They cover pretty much of what you will need to succeed in the challenges but also animate you to roam the internet for additional information. If you have a problem - you can be sure that someone will help you.

I've been meaning to try a basics coding class for awhile and am so glad I found SheCodes. Matt's videos were bite-sized and very digestive, especially for beginners. I can't believe I'm able to make a Html/CSS landing page with Javascript from scratch after 3 weeks. The course was very informative and fun, a definite recommend!
I was second guessing in taking this workshop because I felt the need to actually be in a class with a real professor, but I took the chances and took the Basic Coding Workshop and I absolutely loved it! Matt is a really great professor! I really enjoyed his videos. If I didn't get a topic I would always go back and see the videos all over again. SheCodes has been the most insightful and interesting coding course I have come across so far - with little to no experience, Matt's explanations and in depth videos have allowed me to overcome challenges more easily and understand the why behind the importance of coding. Really loved the Plus React courses. Found them a bit tougher but as always help was readily available and the videos fully explained all the concepts.
Matt's videos are perfect for explaining it step-by-step. His code is helpful to study and to work out what links to what. The course is very organized and flows well. I was appropriately challenged at each step but given the resources and grace that I needed to succeed. I hope to return for more classes in the next year!

It's a really good course! The videos are easy to understand, and helpful when you are building the project. I found it very interesting and I learned a lot. The most important thing is that when you have a doubt you can ask it in the slack channel, and they'll help you, I think this makes the difference with other courses. I completely recommend the course.

Shecodes workshops are excellently, and the tutoring is clear and straightforward. The weekly tasks, final projects, slack and e-mail reminders help to stay on track. The 'solution' videos are also great; having the code at our disposal is a huge plus that allows us to improve and be more efficient. We can constantly test and figure out what works and what doesn't work. I feel that with shecodes is possible to learn how to code. If you aren't sure if you are capable, trust in shecode and go for it, it is worth it!!
This basics course exceeded my expectations on all fronts. Matt is a great teacher and the approachability of the material, community, support, and resources was key to my learning. It can feel a bit daunting to realize I do not learn as quickly as when I was in school full time, but I found things clicking along the way and making their way into my day to day vocabulary. I have shown my work to friends that have taken expensive courses and/or gone to university and they are impressed in how much I was able to retain and the incredible resources available to me. From curated cheatsheets, to color gradients, image hosting, videos I can play at any time and even SheCodes Radio(my favorite part!). Highly recommend more women empower themselves through code there are not enough of us!

This course was really fun, Matt explained everything so clearly in the videos and for a coding beginner like me, I was able to grasp it pretty much straight away because of how the course was set out and how the coding was explained. Plus there was always help via slack when I got stuck. Kind of sad I have finished it but now I know the basics I definitely want to continue to experiment.
I have never thought I could build a fully functional website in such a short period of time. SheCodes Plus has taught me so much knowledge about advanced HTML, CSS and JS. Not only did I learn to code but also solve problems through debugging and testing. Thank you Matt for the comprehensive videos and the SheCodes team for your support along the way. This course is challenging but supportive, there were times when the end result looked impossible but with the help of the SheCodes network and Matt's videos breaking every thing down into small steps, I was able to succeed at even the toughest tasks.

SheCodes Basics was a great way to see what coding is all about. The tutorial videos and the Slack channel community were very helpful. My favorite part was applying what I had learned to my own assignments and having the opportunity to build a final project that aligns with my own interests!

As a Software Tester whose daily job has always been working with Software Developers, I have always wished to have an in depth knowledge of how Softwares are being developed. As a result of this, I have watched a lot of videos on HTML, CSS and a bit of Javascript on Youtube, this had helped me currently as a postgraduate student of Information Technology but I must say SheCodes workshop is an exceptional; as it has helped me in having some fundamentals required in starting my new career as a Frontend Developer. I really do enjoy how the programs are arranged especially the fact that one tends to know the relationship between these three languages from the onset together with the Homework at the end of each week to enhance more practice and better understanding . This was such a fun project. It is very important to know how to make your website responsive to different devices. Which is why I highly recommend taking this workshop. Even if you have never Coded before, this course gives you ample information and guidelines to help you achieve your goal of learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript so that you may use them in day-to-day applications. I am excited to continue with SheCodes and learn all that I can to help me make the right decisions in what type of coding I would like to do, as well as opens more opportunities for you to advance your career, expand your hobbies, or help you learn a new craft for future use.

SheCodes Basics is an engaging course to get started with web development! I already had basic programming background before entering the course, but the amazing videos helped me reaffirm my knowledge. The videos were easy to follow and I learned quickly. SheCodes taught me a lot of useful skills and I've become more passionate about coding! I highly recommend it.
I'm once again blown away with the amount of knowledge you can get from this workshops. As a full time student with a full time job it can be difficult to keep the energy levels high enough to have a hobby. But Matt's videos and the challenges keep me interested and motivated. There's is an underlying gamification structure that makes it fun and slightly addictive. At the end of the day I just wished I had more time to code!

As expected, SheCodes React turned out to be another brilliant workshop, featuring many challenges and amazing support. All the lessons were extremely learner-friendly and the step-by-step videos are easy to follow throughout the weeks with fun and engaging content. I'm quite chuffed with the final result of the two projects I got to code: a weather app and a dictionary app.
SheCodes workshops are addictive! Matt successfully makes very educational videos that easy to follow. The regular challenges help to memorize and sometimes make mistakes (yes, it's a blessing!). Because one of the things I am the proudest of is that now I can more easily detect the mistakes and be able to resolve them, sometimes with the help of the support team, but more and more autonomously. I feel comfortable going further!

Building further on the first 2 workshops, the third course - SheCodes Responsive - learns you how to tweak your website so that it looks great on both desktop and mobile devices. During this course you also get the building blocks on how to easily unify layouts and colors. The clear and spontaneous videos learn you how to work on your personal portfolio websites without getting bored. Add to that a speed course on SEO and this course helps you to make multipage website manageable and searchable. Once again an amazing course by the SheCodes team and I'm already looking forward to the next!

Just finished SheCodes Basics and it was so much fun! The videos are very helpful and Matt is a great teacher. I definetly will upgrade to SheCodes Pro, can't get enough of coding now! π
