I really liked having videos and challenges, not just plain text that needs to be followed precisely.
This has been by far the best virtual class I have taken. The structure of the classes, homework, slack channels etc. are really amazing. The only thing I would change about it is a few of the videos. I found only a small number of the videos a bit confusing and I would go back a few times to watch them again and again ... I thought they could be better edited and explained at times.
The SheCodes Basics workshop has opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me. The highly informative videos have taught me the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and the challenges have allowed me to put my new knowledge to the test. I look forward to continuing this journey with SheCodes.
SheCode was able expand my knowledge of coding. From the videos, to the hands-on practice, I now have a greater understanding about coding and how it is used in everyday technologies. SheCodes sparked my coder journey and it was amazing to be able to create my own website from scratch! π€
SheCodes is amazing. In just 3 weeks I've felt like I've gotten a good foundation on the basics of HTML, CSS, and JS. I honestly cannot wait to jump into the next level and keep learning. Learning to code with SheCodes has been so fun and engaging! I have definitely learnt way more than I would have trying to teach myself. The videos and exercises are great and having support on hand when you run into an issue really helps you advance at a good pace!

It's a really great course. The explanations are very clear and the videos help a lot to see how everything works. Even though it's challenging, I find the practical side of the course a great addition. If you don't practice and see for yourself how everything works, you don't learn enough.

Is it possible to work full-time and do a SheCodes course? Yes, but you have to put in the extra work and you have to code every week, at least every second day to stay inside the loop. This is my second SheCodes course and I really enjoy learning with Mattβs videos. Things start to get a little more complicated now, but I am excited about whatβs coming next and how everything Iβve learned is intertwining. Coding is creative and code is poetry.
SheCodes is the perfect course to learn how to code! the videos are well explained and you can study whenever you want! the main thing that makes SheCodes unique and special is the community that you have when you face a problem and the project oriented lessons!
SheCodes basic is a great way to learn what coding is. Some tasks almost drove me crazy, but Matt's repetition that coding is fun kept me going. Some tasks include elements which were not talked about in the videos. This was a great way to use learned information. I am thankful to Matt and the Team for this course!
Matt's instructional videos were short, but concise and easy to follow. I loved that there is a community to ask for help and that after you submit and assignment there is a video with the solution for you to check your work.
After finishing SheCodes Basics I was extremely excited to continue my coding journey. My favorite part about coding is being able to be creative and literally start from scratch and create anything you want! I learned so much during these past 8 weeks and it has only driven me to continue my coding journey. I've learned a lot about myself as well. At times my patience was really tested and I got frustrated at times but I learned if I continued trying, watched the videos again, and/or asked for help on Slack I was able to figure out a solution. I'm so happy with how my Weather App came out and I'm looking forward to the next step!
The course was practical and easy to follow, explanations were clear. I also like how it was broken into short videos so I can do them at a time convenient and I wasn't sitting through long sessions.
I've always felt like a have a thing for coding but never actually had the courage or time to explore this passion, until I found SheCodes! The lessons are brief, so neatly organized, logically flowing from one concept to the next. Matthieu's explanatory videos are very clear and make it easy to learn this new language. The challenges at the end of each lesson are also really fun! I think I'll be continuing this journey with more advanced courses with SheCodes.

I started learning to code a few months ago and I can not believe how much I have learned in just a few weeks! The topics in the videos are perfectly broken down, Matt is a great teacher and makes everything so understandable, and the Slack community is a great help. It is a lot of hard work, and I have both cursed and cried during the past 8 weeks. But the feeling when everything finally works is so rewarding and makes it all worth it! I can't wait to start the React workshop and see where all this takes me!
I loved taking this course. The videos were short but informative and everything was easy to understand. The challenges made sure I understood the concepts in each lesson and I had a lot of fun with the weekly homework and especially the project. I can't believe how much I learned in such a short time. Would recommend to anyone who wants to get an introduction to coding!
JavaScript functions got really messy here! π But I still enjoyed it a lot. The last week's videos made everything suuper clear for me so I am grateful for the work Matt put into that. It's a pity the workshops are online as I believe in real life this experience must be even better! π
I really appreciate how the lessons are broken up and how the videos are structured. They are all a reasonable length and easy to understand. Even though this course is just an intro into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I feel like I learned a lot and I am definitely interested in taking additional courses.
I tried a lot of self paced online training and none of them can compete with the level of SheCodes! The videos/exercices are so well made and playful. In only 3 weeks I can say that I understand how coding works whilst working a full time job! Doing SheCodes after office hour has become my escape π€ I recommend SheCodes to every women out there wanting to learn more about coding, this training is made for you π©βπ»

The workshop was great. I had a small amount of coding knowledge going into it, but definitely learned way more than I knew and have better clarity on what to focus on next! The videos had plenty of tips and tricks to help guide you along the way, and if I got stuck, a team member or fellow student was quick to answer and take a look at my code for where I was making a mistake! I was very appreciative of this feature as many websites do not have this! Overall, I would recommend! I now look at webpages in a completely new light!

Just a few short weeks ago, the thought of having to code an entire webpage seemed incredibly daunting. Thanks to Matt and the SheCodes team, I see now that it is completely possible! Wow, I can't believe how quickly those 8 weeks went by! After finishing the SheCodes Basics Workshop last December I was really excited to start this new project and learn more about coding and Javascript. Not gonna lie, at times it was quite difficult to understand and I struggled to follow. But this is what I really enjoy about this course and the concept: you can do everything at your own pace - if you don't understand it you can just re-watch all the videos, you can do it step by step and you can ask for help. I am really proud of what I have learned already in this short time and I am so excited to continue this journey :)
I really enjoyed learning through SheCodes. I love the way the classes are laid out. It was nice to have short videos, fun projects to do, and after you submit your projects, the solutions are provided. It really helped me learn a lot and I'm really excited to move on to the advanced classes!

Such a great opportunity for someone coming from no experience at all. I have been a floral designer for the last 10 years, and am now at home with my baby. I'm very excited about this opportunity to learn this field. The videos are easy to understand, and even when you don't understand that, you're connected with a community that will help!
SheCodes has been fantastic! The videos explain each part just enough to understand what to do, but doesn't give away every detail so you have to figure out somethings on your own. Matt is a great teacher! The timeline for each week is perfectly spaced out. I was able to spend just over 5 hours each week on my assignments. I ended up spending a lot longer on my final project by choice! I'm so happy to have found this class and I can't wait to sign up for the next workshop!

This was so much fun to learn! I looked forward to coming home from work every day and taking on another challenge and then ultimately building my very first app! Matt's teaching style is great and easy to understand and it is nice to be able to have videos and sources to refer back to. The team is also wonderful, with quick and helpful responses. There were times I definitely challenged, but I am so proud of what I have already accomplished and am excited to continue forward in my journey to become a software developer!
When I joined SheCodes, I had zero coding experience, and Matt made coding so easy to learn. I love the way the lessons are divided into short videos, and they give a new activity in almost every lesson to put into practice what has been learned and makes it easier to memorize the information. I'm very proud of everything I've learned so far. And I can't wait to learn more.
I absolutely loved this workshop. I learned so much during this process and I absolutely loved the final project that we got to do. Building the Weather App was such a fun experience and it really taught me a lot about my abilities and was a great learning experience at filling in the gaps. I really appreciated all the feed back that I got from the instructors and Matt gave great information in the lecture videos.

Absolutely loved it. Although enrolled in a full time university course, it was very possible to conclude the course. It's well structured, videos are not overwhelmingly long, the topics are broken down in a logic manner and it teaches you how to think about coding.
It was so easy for me to learn how to code, the videos were extremely helpful and I can't wait to enter a field with this information.
The workshop is not bad for someone who's just starting! I've taken an HTML class in college and I feel like there's a lot of information left out to know. But I'm trying to remain optimistic since I know this is just the basics workshop. If you don't plan on taking any workshop past the basics, I suggest you watch more videos on YouTube, Udemy, or read an HTML and CSS basics. Extra outside resources is always good!

I had had ZERO experience with coding before I had the opportunity to do the SheCodes workshop and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The way Matt explains it in the videos is really comprehendable for everyone. I myself am just a musician but was capable of learning something so much different and I love it. I'm really considering buying the next course! Although for a non-working student it might be a bit tough haha
I was hesitant at first cause coding is more like a man-relating thing and it seemed to be difficult to learn. But SheCodes courses are very easy to understand and practical. Especially I love how Matt approaches and instructs coding languages in less-than-10-minutes videos so that I do not feel bored or tired to give up. Many thanks to Matt and the team.

Coding is really fun, it is very satisfying to construct a page and experience how ideas are materialized. The team has been most supportive, questions get answered promptly. Most importantly, the instruction videos are clear and easy to follow and I love that it allowed me to learn according to my pace.

SheCodes Plus has been a whole new level of challenge, but it is achievable. Follow Matt step by step to create a fully functioning weather app. Users will need to do their own practice to really get good but this is a great set of guiding videos to get started.

The SheCodes video classes and their other resources are amazing, and the team is extremely helpful. Matt's videos are very easy to follow and I love the fact that they are not scripted so we can learn even more from him as he films himself coding in real-time with all the inherent challenges. Another plus is Matt always shows us the best coding practices, even when he says: "You don't have to do this but I highly recommend (...)" π So I can't recommend this workshop enough for people who are beginning their coding journey like me. It is a bliss!!

I was hesitant to bite the bullet and join but I am SO GLAD I did. Previously, I did do a quick HTML/CSS coding course but there's something different about SheCodes. Matt's teaching style is easy to understand and the challenges really help you master what is being taught. The Slack community is also very helpful if you're confused or need help! Being able to take things at my pace and my own time and being able to review the videos was especially great. I will be recommending SheCodes to anyone I know!
This was my first time learning about web structures and coding. I liked the way that everything was taught from basic. Also I think one of the other highlights of this workshop is that we have to submit the challenges, and because of that, we interact with coding, more, and we can even learn more by doing the challenges. We can watch the videos anytime we want and that's great!! I really enjoyed learning!
I had dabbled in learning HTML and CSS before taking these classes out of curiosity, but never felt confident enough to pursue a career in coding. After taking these classes, I feel I am building myself a great foundation to make the leap into a career. With the available resources, Slack chats, and ability to get real-time help, as well as life-time access to the videos, I am much more confident in my skills and am building myself a portfolio.
I love SheCodes! I love learning all the new aspects of becoming a Software Engineer and I'm hoping I can get a job in the field, once I have completed the courses. Its so easy to learn with Matt's great teaching videos, answering questions I'm thinking of without having to ask! He knows what hes doing! It's so easy to learn and you can do it all in your own time. If you want to learn how to code, this is the way to go. I have looked at so many courses, which I found to be confusing. And although there are some things I get frustrated with when coding, Matt and the team are always there to help.
SheCodes Basics was a tremendous help in providing the necessary courses for the basics of coding, and the classes ended up inspiring me to continue coding through SheCodes. Doing the course actually helped me find a new niche of people and things I now love to do, regardless of how difficult the current material may be. Plus, with the additional resources and the videos provided, I never felt there was a time when I was overwhelmed to the point I was stuck since I could turn for help at any moment!

I finished this in a week because the lessons were great and slack provides that human interaction. a lot of classes are just videos with no way to communicate with anyone regarding questions. This brought me back to myspace days when I would rush home to mess around with code all day!! highly recommend it.
I liked the fact that the course had structure and deadlines. Really helpful in making sure I kept up with the course. The support team was brilliant and amazing at what they do. I did find bits of it slow or tedious - but I actually enjoyed the final project. I will be continuing on to the next course. would recommend for complete beginners. the way Matt talks you through step by step really helps you focus. SheCodes was my first ever attempt at coding. The whole process was very easy to follow, the online videos and group chats were a great help! I am very grateful for SheCodes for allowing me to explore the world of coding, I will definitely be completely my next coding course through SheCodes.
This was my first SheCodes class and it was a really great experience! It covered quite a bit in the few weeks but we got so much hands on practice as we went through each topic. The community aspect was great when running into issue or trying to troubleshoot. The videos themselves were short but informative. For an asynchronous class, this was one of the best experiences I have had.
As someone who knew 0% on how to code, there were plenty of TikTok videos that stated coding as a fun, new career path. BUT it wasn't until I saw & attended a free SheCodes coding class that I was convinced coding can be fun, AND can be my new career path! Having completed the SheCodes Basics Workshop, I can confidently say I didn't feel alone in the learning progress whatsoever; fellow classmates from around the world along with reliable tech assistants who offered help in any challenge, or homework I was stuck on. Also the teaching materials were clear to understand, which is why I highly recommend beginners with zero skills in coding to take the SheCodes Basics Workshop! Now that I've built my first project, I'm excited to know what's in store for SheCodes Plusπ€©
SheCodes was fast paced but really enjoyable. The videos explained things really well and it helped to see Matt trial and error things. I hope to take another workshop in the near future. The community on Slack with fellow students and mentors is very helpful for troubleshooting. I wish the feedback for the homework was a little more personable but with so many students I understand that it can't always be, but that's another reason why the community is helpful too. Great introductory course! I learned a ton! I went into this course knowing absolutely nothing. I feel a lot more confident. I plan on taking more courses with SheCodes in the future. The assignments really forced me to stay on track and complete all of the lessons. I liked the pace of the course and the videos that Matt provides for each lesson. Overall, I would definitely recommend.

I've had so much fun working on this project! It has been a welcome creative output in between classes and exams. I'm very excited to use the tools I've learned and basic HTML, CSS and JS to create other projects in the future. As always, the instruction videos are wonderful, but for this project I've found the lovely support team on Slack to be especially helpful. The team at SheCodes were also very approachable to get extensions etc. during exam season.

Having previously done a data and SQL course elsewhere, which I found too abstract, I decided to try front end so that I could see what I'd built. As a visual learner I've really enjoyed the SheCodes Basics course. I found the videos really helpful because I could see what things were supposed to look like, and also go back and re-watch things. I'm excited to start SheCodes Plus!
What an incredible experience! I knew very little about coding before I started SheCode Basics, but that wasn't a problem. Matt does an incredible job of breaking things down and explaining them in easy bite-sized videos so that you can learn slowly without getting overwhelmed.
