SheCodes is amazing!! Matt Delac teaches so well and the videos are not long so they are easy to comprehend, I am thankful for this experience and I am confident about the skills I have learned.
It was a great experience to learn coding in the Basics Workshop! The content of the videos was very well explained, so that one could implement the newly learned step by step. It was fun to try out new things in the challenges, to put what we learned into practice and to be creative. To see that you can code simple websites with different functions after a short time and how you develop is very motivating! :) I will definitely continue!
Delac Foundation is indeed a place to be if you really want to develop or grow your career in the IT Industry. I started learning coding from the scratch and I can tell you that my 3weeks learning SheCodes Basics was really worth it, I enjoyed every bit of the training. In time past, I used to see coded languages as strange but now I've become familiar with them. I can now play around HTML, CSS and JAVASCRIPT with ease. The instructional videos with detailed explanations, challenges and homework made my learning easier and less stressful. The Slack platform gave me the opportunity to interact with my wonderful classmates from all over world regardless of our Race, Color, Nationality or Ethnicity. Indeed, my instructor Matt Delac is doing a great job, kudos to him!

I enjoyed learning on SheCodes, it was challenging but I liked how I gained new skills and was able to make a website with the step-by-step explanation of all the videos provided. This is a great way to embark your journey on becoming a professional web developer, I highly recommend it if you are a complete beginner and new to coding!
SheCodes Plus is very challenging and you learn a lot of new information. I appreciate all the videos and help from classmates and advisors on Slack. This course will humble you but also make you feel successful and inspired.
I've tried learning coding on my own before and through free videos but this was truly a worthwhile investment. I'm so grateful to Matt and the SheCodes team for giving me and so many other women a strong foundation in coding to build on β and for making it fun!

As a beginner coder, this course was great for me to get stuck into the world of coding. You are not only able to learn when and where you like but you also have several accountability partners that are willing to push you along the way. Matt speaks clearly throughout all videos to ensure you understand all topics covered.
This is such a great workshop to take if you want your websites to look good on smaller screens. I loved the videos as we built a multi-page website together. I learned what a good work process is like and it helped me develop my own work style.
I have been loving the journey so far. I do have some experience with html, css and Javascript. I love that the courses uses videos with bite size lessons to complete with one project at the end of each module. I started a front end bootcamp and it was way over my head with a lot to complete in a weeks time. This course has given me to much more confidence that I can do this!
I truly enjoyed re-learning and putting my skills to the test with SheCodes. The videos were extremely helpful. I enjoyed having to just work through my errors and just try different elements because I was able to learn something new each time. Matt was great along with his support team on Slack. I'm hoping to continue on to the next level of SheCodes workshops and be able to develop my first project into something even more amazing.
I never thought that it would be so much fun to create a website by myself. I have long been interested in how to program such pages and SheCodes is the perfect training platform for self-study. The videos and short exercises are very well organized and the platform is very easy to use. Really great job by Matt, he is an ideal teacher who can explain really well.

I came in to this course curious about coding and knew absolutely nothing about it. Now, I feel inspired and motivated to learn more! The videos were great and I loved completing each challenge and assignment. I never realized how fun coding could be!
Matt's videos are outstanding. I enjoy that the videos are short and I'm able to immediately apply what I learned in the challenge. This learning model works well for me and I'm so happy I was able to sign up for this course. I learned a lot in three weeks and I'm looking forward to the next eight! π
okay here's just my opinion. I honestly liked the shortness of the SheCodes workshop, it was an eye opener experience for me. I did appreciate the videos that were available, but I also had to spend some time having to learn things my own, by searching up how-to videos, and reading about new terms and techniques, which I have to admit, I wasn't thrilled about. I figured since we were paying to get into the workshop, the information would be taught to us, and not us having to teach ourselves at times. Of course, I can't be too upset with it because it was titled a basic workshop, so I should have probably guessed. I also felt like the project video demos were way more easy to follow along versus the challenge videos from week 1 and 2 (sidenote: week 2 seems a bit more easier than week 1, and it wasn't as over bearing, could just have been for me.) The week 3 (aka project) videos were completely step by step, and when I was doing my project, that's what I used to help me build it from scratch, instead of having to go back to look at week 1 and 2 challenge videos (if you're reading this without being in the workshop, it may not make sense, but it will if you do)! The videos from Week 1 and 2, I only knew what to do after I submitted my solution, and I saw the answer. I wished I just understood before from the learning video. I am quite happy that I was able to follow through with the workshop (finally! I had kept putting it off! :') When I finally did commit to the workshop, though, I had some basic knowledge of HTML that I believe helped me keep going. I do think if you're a beginner with no absolute knowledge of web development, you should try to know some before jumping into this workshop, especially if you're gonna pay. There are free beginner workshops online (way long, might be kinda boring too though), I would recommend watching some videos of Introduction to HTML/CSS/JAVASCRIPT, even reading some books (another sidenote: I bought a workbook to help with HTML/CSS, definitely helped me out.), then I would join SheCodes. It wasn't as overwhelming, because some of the words were familiar. Another piece of advice, the deadline can sneak up on you, especially if you have outside life going on, like work or school or whatever else that can take up your time. This workshop is like an online class, so keep that in mind when choosing your start date. Overall, I do appreciate this as a start up, and a push in the right direction. It really depends on your dedication, truthfully. It's a great tool, and I'm thankful for the opportunity. Also, its three weeks-one if you really wanna push it. Not bad.
This workshop has been incredibly fun and I've learnt so much. I'm always looking forward to sit down and go through the videos and work on the homeworks. I honestly wish the workshop would never end!
I'm really glad I continued with SheCodes Plus after completing the SheCodes Basics Workshop! It was amazing that I got to see code from scratch turn into a functioning application. The videos are very clear and I appreciate the self pace that allows me to practice my front end development skills while juggling work.
Learning how to code was a great experience, I never thought I would enjoy coding so much! The course in general and the videos especially were easy to follow, even though I didnβt have any prior programming experience.
SheCodes+ definitely took things on another level. Sometimes I unconsciously felt that this is getting too complicated by using the same simple tools of HTML, CSS and JS which Matt introduced in SheCodes Basic, but he mentioned several times that there are other advanced tools like React to get the same result easier, but this is meant to really dive deep into basics and to get to the level when things finally clicked and you profoundly understand some coding concepts you have been lost in previously. Even though coding here was a lot of fun, needless to say sometimes it got little frustrating and very time-requiring. As a perfectionist I used Google a lot, as I wanted include things there were no time to explain in main videos. I will for sure continue with other courses, as I can already see how this become more and more interesting!
great entry level coding , learning the basics of html, css and java. videos are clear, and there's always someone to answer your questions, sometimes within a few hours.

It's not easy, but Matt and the team make it very inviting. With patience, awesome video instructions, challenges with an answer key, and a solution video for each, it makes it possible to learn how to code. One thing that I really liked is how Matt doesn't edit out his mistakes in the videos. Instead, he shows you that he too, with all his experience, makes mistakes and shows you how he goes about fixing them. That makes me feel much better about making mistakes and makes me more confident to find a solution. I really enjoy these courses. They are not easy, but the learning process for anything new never is. I would highly recommend these courses to anyone who wants to learn how to code.
Having no experience in coding and starting from scratch I am surprised at the information I have learned in the past few weeks. Matt does a great job in his videos of teaching different topics and other tips and tricks to make coding more efficient and enjoyable. I must say I have avoided this field because I did not think I had what it took to grasp the information, but after this experience I think I can see myself wanting to go further and potentially see this as a career option. I am very appreciative of Matt and his team for making this learning process enjoyable.

The courses videos were broken into easily digestible pieces which build on top of each other, before you know it you know how to design and build your own web page! They have requirements for the final project which means that unless you copy the demo site code and functionality you do not pass. They list the functionality they require but not the specific order they want it in and if you do not follow the order that they require you fail and have to resubmit.
I had never tried any front-end developing before or anything web designed based so I found this to be a very interesting challenge. It was nice to be able to go back and watch the videos whenever I got confused or couldn't remember something. And being able to ask for help in Slack if I got stuck was very helpful.
Excellently explained videos which makes coding a fun yet relatable experience. I like that it's detailed with notes provided alongside to help learn in the best way possible! I liked that I could go at my own pace and that SheCodes was understanding of deadline extensions.
There are a lot of free tutorials out there online, but I appreciate how SheCodes has been broken down into a progression of steps in a clear and concise format that can teach anyone how to code. The ease and comfort of using the videos and assignments is what makes the workshop very worthwhile over alternatives.
As someone with absolutely no coding experience, SheCodes was a very comprehensive and engaging experience. The videos were easy to follow, and I enjoyed all of the challenges that helped me gain hands-on experience and the opportunity to improve my coding skills. I had tried doing other online courses myself through Coursera.org for coding but this is the first one that I've actually stuck with because Matt doesn't bog you down in all of the technicalities of how and why things work. He just gets you coding the basic stuff without going into too much detail that just confuses you. I also haven't had to use Slack yet to ask a question (another testament to how well the videos teach you), but I really appreciate that that is an option because other online courses don't offer any quick support.
SheCodes made the content easy to understand and very engaging for a total beginner. I have tried different courses and watched various coding videos, but it never captivated my interest long enough for me to continue. I plan to continue the next SheCodes workshop.
I had a great experience with SheCodes Basic. The tutorial videos were easy to follow and lots of resources were made available for the weekly assignments and final project.
When I bought the course I was scared. Scared that I will find out that I don't get it. That's too difficult for me. That I will just waste money. I was wrong! turned out that I don't suck and I actually enjoy coding. At least at this stage, and that I want to learn more. I really liked classes with quick videos explaining and showing most important things. Although, almost at the end I realized that there are some extra info below the videosπ€¦ββοΈ. What works for me are challenges and weekly homework as well as the final project. I think it helps to learn better through the whole course step by step without being left with everything for the final project. I would definitely recommend the basic course to anyone. It's a great opportunity to test the water without investing big money into something we are not sure we want.
SheCodes Basics was a good start as I am a beginner at coding. I'm a visual learner, and Matt made it easy, as the videos explained step by step.

I enjoyed SheCodes SO much, much more than I thought I would. I heard so many great things and I found it so fun, the challenges were engaging, and I appreciated all the help they give. They offer many resources and coming from a beginner level, I never once felt like I had to give up. Frustrated? Of course! That's all part of being new at something. But the community was stellar, and Matts videos were super helpful.

I'm not one to sit for hours and study, but this is different. You get a bunch of short videos and then homework about that video, what makes it so more fun to learn and better to absorb all that new information. I'm really glad I took this course and you should too!
I enjoyed this course tremendously! There are many free courses out there to learn the same material, but I felt it was worth it to pay to get my questions answered quickly and join a program with a well-thought out structure that holds you accountable. I think most people don't retain much from watching videos or doing short coding exercises - you learn from doing a complete project that means something to you, with a deadline! SheCodes delivers on this.
The SheCodes Basics course is a great way to familiarize yourself with the basics of coding. Largely self-paced, the videos are easy to understand and the homeworks and final project keep you on target. For anyone looking to foray into the world of coding, this is a fun start.

I am a social worker for disabled people. I am following this course to expand my knowledge and let's see what it will bring me in the future. What I really like about the SheCodes course is how the program is designed. It are short videos where you learn new skills and afterward, there is a challenge which are really doable and if you have any questions you can ask the team or other students and you will have a really quick and helpfull respond.

I enrolled in the SheCodes Basics. I enjoyed the course. The videos are easy to understand and after taking the course I do have a better understanding of specific concepts.
Very easy to understand and follow along! I have a limited background in programming but with Matt's help, was able to learn the basics of web design. He's a great instructor and besides his videos, he also offers resources for you to use on your own projects. I definitely would recommend this to anyone who wants to get started in web design but has no idea where to start. All the students have access to a Slack as well where we can ask questions and receive help from the SheCodes staff or even each other. Learning something new doesn't feel so intimidating knowing that other students might be running into the same problems as you are. I just finished SheCodes Basics and can't wait to get started on SheCodes Plus!

This course was great at introducing the basic concepts of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The lesson videos were short, interactive and easy to follow. The weekly assignments was very interesting and it built creativity through coding. The flexibility of the course was also great!
3 months ago I did not know anything about coding and now I finished my first project and it feels great to learn and achieve something new! Compared to Basics, Plus workshop was of course bit more challenging but I went back to the videos and followed Matt and I could make everything work in the end. I can't wait to continue with the React workshop!

The workshop was nice and easy to follow. You can watch the videos on your own time and finish the homework before the deadline. I also love the fact that we can reference back to the videos to remind us how to do certain codes.

I found the progressive lesson format very accessible and user friendly. Mat breaks down the languages into bite-sized easy to understand videos and challenges.
The Responsive course has been my favourite SheCodes course so far! The Portfolio project was so helpful in pulling everything I had learned together and gave me the tools to go back and make my previous projects responsive too. The videos are clear and informative and the community was always helpful if I ever got stuck.
I have struggled with learning code for a while now. I came to learn about SheCodes and decided to give it a try. My love for technology and what it brings forth has been drive. The courses at SheCodes are sectioned into small and very clear videos and after every class we have a challenge giving one a chance to put into practice what they learnt. That has been really fun, quenching my thirst for learning coding and at the same time keeping me curious about what the next lesson has to bring forth. My coding skills have really improved and i believe this is the begin of something great and I am happy and grateful to SheCodes.
I am really really enjoying learning with SheCodes. The videos make it easy to follow along, with a written source code. On top of that, whenever I struggled, they were so quick to answer my questions. Even though this is entirely online, I never felt like I was doing this on my own!

This program was so fun! I had no clue about coding and especially not if it was something one could enjoy, however, after this course I love it! This was such a great learning experience for someone with no coding experience. It was challenging at times, but the structure of the classes, the informational videos, slack support, and various resources made it all come together. The final project really put all of the learning into perspective. Thanks for creating a wonderful learning experience.
I really enjoyed SheCodes! The course is divided into small pieces which makes learning much easier. The staff was helpful. Homeworks are well explained. I really liked that each homework was explained later on by Matt in the video. I think those videos taught me the most! :)
I have enjoyed learning from the videos. For me it's hard to read about this material and then apply it without someone explaining it to me. I'm so glad I took a chance and signed up!
Matt explained each topic in a concise way. The videos are short but I don't feel like there's anything missing honestly! I'd recommend the course to anyone wanting to learn the basics of html, css and javascript and I'll definetly come back for the next course as well. I absolutely loved the little homeworks after each video and I thoroughly enjoyed the project in the end as well.

What a great course! I learned so much information throughout these videos. I am new to coding and I feel as if Matt was very explicit on what needed to be done and WHY it works/why you do it a specific way. The team on slack also needs a shoutout because if you're stuck or have a question, they respond and help you in a timely manner.
This course is so easy to follow that you can start and stop without worrying about messing up your progress. The lessons are broken down into very digestible pieces of information and you can move through them very quickly. I love the function to speed up the videos for when I just need to review one part. I would recommend this course to anyone even remotely interested in coding!
Speaking from a graphic designer point of view: This was a great refresher course from the "little" coding I learned from uni. Although Javascript was new for me, it was easier to grasp with Matt's βlearnβing videos, followed by coding challenges, and weekly projects to practise as you are learning. Just when you think you wonβt be able to wrap your head around it. It all comes together in the end. For graphic designers, itβs great to understand how your design concepts can be translated and built into coding. I look forward to the next workshop!
Although React was quite difficult to learn, the videos, challenges and guidance made it possible. I particularly enjoyed the opportunity to create two different projects.
SheCodes Plus was fun since we could interact with APIs and used what we learned on Basics to create a functional project. Matt does a great job in his videos of making things clear and easy to understand. I'm looking forward to the next classes to learn more advanced Web Development and take my understanding to a whole new level!
Being part of this workshop has been awesome, I enjoy the fact that you could learn at your own time and understand each one of the lessons thanks to the clarity of the videos and examples given by Matt I highly recommend it.
