Loved working on this project! As always easy to follow instruction videos, hands-on and it`s amazing what I`ve learned through the workshop. Imagine making a fully functioning weather app, knowing almost nothing about code only a few months back.

Learning React was a bit more challenging than everything else I had learned, but I pushed through it with determination. The videos provided were incredibly helpful, guiding me through each step and reiterating what I had learned. This repetition made it easier to follow along and understand the concepts over time. Eventually, I found myself becoming more comfortable with React, and it started to make more sense. I am truly grateful for the easy-to-follow videos that were provided throughout this journey. They played a significant role in my learning process and helped me overcome the initial difficulties I faced. Thank you for creating such valuable and accessible resources.

I started SheCodes about a month ago with zero coding experience. The videos and challenges make it really easy to learn. I especially enjoyed the final project for the Basics Workshop because it allowed me to apply all of the concepts I learned in the first few weeks.

This is a great milestone for me. I am super grateful to Matt and the entire Shecodes team. This is an opportunity I don't take lightly. I really enjoyed the way each topic or lesson was broken in bits, the short videos made the learning process easy and the teachings easy to grasp. Thank you Matt, thank you Shecodes.

This particular workshop was very challenging. The good news is the videos and the projects are there for me to try my hands on again. My main challenge has to do with figuring out the javascript functions and calling of the functions.

The workshops are thought out well. Matt is a good instructor and his videos are thorough with good examples. I have tried many video based courses to assist with becoming a web developer but I find myself losing interest. I like the fact there are due dates with the homework assignments and projects. That keeps me more focused and willing to stay motivated.

I found the AI add-on very helpful. As always, the videos were clear and easy to follow, slack is available for extra help. I found the prompt engineering and the user experience areas especially interesting.

It was a great introduction to python. The complex concepts were made simple and clear through the instructional videos and exercises. This course created a great foundation upon which I will continue building.

Great course! Informative videos, fun final project.

I enjoyed this program so much especially as someone who had no idea about coding. The step-by-step tutorials made everything better because if I didn't understand anything I could watch the videos as many times as I would like. I am ready to level up in the coding space and if it wasn't for SheCodes I would've never thought that I am capable to thrive in it.

A bit more challenging but easy to follow along with the videos

I felt that the Python Advanced course was well organized, clear, and the final project helped solidify what I was doing. For me, I learn best when trying something on my own, so I liked that the format of the course let me build the project on my own, but then follow along with the instructional videos to help me understand how to improve my code.

Having explained on videos really does push a person to do more.This one was definely not the easiest but with shecodes it is just much better.

SheCodes AI workshop was a fun introduction into how to use AI in conjunction with coding. Loved creating the AI content generator, bringing together previous and new skills to build it. As always Matt's videos and challenges were easy to follow and well organised. Thank you again SheCodes for another great experience.

The videos are short and straight to the point. I got a lot of value from this course and it showed me real world application of certain concepts in JavaScript. I was also really happy that I got introduced to APIs for the first time. I would definitely recommend this course to others.

This has been a challenging workshop. Attention to detail is key on this one! Having the videos to refer back to and rewatch has made this so much easier in case things are missed.

SheCodes is amazing! The videos are easy to follow, and Matt is great at teaching, however, the projects are the best way to practice the concepts with a real-life problem. While doing the final project I felt motivated to keep learning and exploring beyond the lessons.

The SheCodes Basics Add-on videos are straightforward to understand. The concepts are easier to grasp than reading the concepts in a book or watching videos on YouTube. The learning is more streamlined.

I am LOVING this course, I have tried few free online workshops/trail periods and I couldn't connect with them however with SheCodes, I enjoy the videos and then the challenges really gives you a chance to put into practice what you have been taught. For me hands on work is how I learn the best. its helping me gain confidence within myself, so thank you. I couldn't recommend this enough, I cant wait to carry on with my course!

The React Workshop was definitely challenging to complete, but I did it. There were many moments of struggle but thanks to Matt who explained everything to understand the steps better, even if I had to rewatch videos again for clearer understanding. He surely taught me a lot, which I am pleased and thankful about. Working on the project was interesting especially while implementing more advanced things into it on the way. I have greatly enjoyed the start of my coding journey so far, learning the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript! They didn't lie when they said it's beginner friendly, all the videos were easy to understand. My curiosity is slowly but surely being fed, every challenge had me excited for the next one, the challenges makes one want to learn and do more! SheCodes is easily one of the best platforms for learning coding. I thought coding was hard, but SheCodes makes it easy to learn with its challenges and videos.

I definitely recommend this workshop, if the coding career - like in my case, has been calling you. The lessons are split into short videos, easy to follow and you can test yourself as you go with challenges afterwards. You are a part of community and in case you get stuck you can post your questions on the platform or you can use an AI assistant, which was proved to be very helpful. Coding is very fun and creative, I can't wait to start the next level already!

The React workshop was undoubtedly the most challenging module I’ve tackled, but it was also one of the most rewarding. I learned so much, and having access to the videos allowed me to revisit the material and solidify my understanding. Overall, it was an incredible experience that has significantly enhanced my skills.

I was initially a bit intimidated by JavaScript, but thanks to the clear and concise explanations in the videos, I was able to grasp the concepts. It was not so easy but I love the fact that you can watch the videos as many times as you can in order to understand.

I felt the course was well thought out. There was a good balance between making sure the basics are well understood without making it too repetitive for those with experience in other programming languages. I like to look at the summary of the project first, build it and then watch the step by step videos. I find I learn better that way, and the format of this course allows us to do that if we want.

React was tough at first, but with a little patience (and revisiting the videos a few times), I got to enjoy it quite a bit!

SheCodes Basic is a fantastic workshop for women to learn basic coding skills, with an opportunity to add more courses in advanced coding to prepare for professional employment or for personal use in creative website development. It is backed by an extensive coding team and lots of peripheral pages for color styles, uploads, videos, and many outlined examples with helpful information. I highly recommend SheCodes for women who want to learn computer coding.

The Responsive workshop was really fun. It was great to implement almost everything I've learned so far and I'm really happy with the result. The videos were really easy to follow and Matt is an inspiring teacher. 10/10 would recommend!

This section has given me in depth a better understanding of JavaScript. Which I feared I was never going to get the hang of it. I was able to troubleshoot most bugs I was encountering based on the content of the videos but also help from the team. I will say this project provides a big example of powerful functionality. Furthermore, I can say I feel more confident in moving forward with my coding journey thanks to Matt and the team.

I didn't know anything about coding and the world of websites, html, css, and java script, and I had only heard that they are used in website design. After completing the basic shecode course, the concepts have completely settled in my mind and I enjoyed learning them a lot - it was a comprehensive course. Both in terms of questions and slack groups and Mr. mac's videos and the whole shecoded platform. In the end of each week project section and its timing and The challenges helped me a lot in understanding and learning and it is a world away from watching videos on YouTube!

I had a great time working on this course. I initially switched to React but needed to come back to complete it. The saying "practice makes perfect" holds true for coding. What a great course! I must admit, Python Advanced was more difficult than I was expecting, but the structure and freedom of the lesson plans allow you to go back, re-watch the videos and practice your coding until it sinks in. Big thanks to Matt and the SheCodes team as ever!

Thank you so much for this excellent introduction to React. I found this course challenging but very rewarding, and I would definitely recommend it to others. Using a different API (SheCodes Weather API) from the one shown in the videos made the learning curve steeper, but I appreciate that because we had to think for ourselves - like we will in the real world. I decided not to follow Matt's coding/file structure on the videos exactly, implementing my own ideas and trying to find solutions by myself. This meant I felt blocked a few times, but the support available on Slack is incredible. Thank you!

The workshop is very useful. The videos are shot, but informative. You can quickly have the whole picture of the process for creating a landing page.

The Plus workshop what a well though out program. I felt my skills growing from lesson to lessons. The weather forecast is a fantastic project to work on. You use all the skills you’ve learned and how to make it better. The courses, videos, assignments, and web layout are very helpful. I cannot thank enough all the instructor’s on slack. Great first time experience of coding. Even if I didn't have many capacities, I could follow the videos easily despite long breaks inbetween and I was able to finish the course eventually :)!

The lessons are short and crisp, which is great. The ability to rewind and replay is really helpful. I especially like the community feeling created through the active Slack platform. However, the videos sometimes feel too spontaneous, as if the instructor wasn't fully prepared. I would have appreciated a clear overview at the beginning - a brief explanation of the course components and structure. Despite these points, the course offers valuable insights and learning opportunities.

This 3-week course is a great introduction to those who are interested in not only pursuing a career in tech, but also just learning/touching up on basic coding. I thoroughly enjoyed the SheCodesBasics workshop. The videos are short and straight to the point, there is no time wasted on fluffs, and Matt does a wonderful job of guiding us through the details and possibilities of coding. The challenges are great practice and provide just the right amount of challenge to keep us motivated.

SheCodes Plus has been an amazing experience. I enjoyed each of the lesson videos. Learning advanced HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and API Integration was challenging and insightful. Although I paused my learning for personal reasons, returning to the program felt seamless. I rewatched videos from previous modules and quickly got back on track. Learning on SheCodes is both fun and challenging, and I would gladly do it all over again.

I've just completed SheCodes Python Basics - and I am so glad I decided to learn with SheCodes. Matt is great, he explains everything clearly, introduces concepts well without using too much tech speak. The course is easy to follow - you can do it as quickly or as slowly as you like - but having a structure, the email reminders and the slack groups make you feel more accountable than your average lesson on Coursera or Udemy. I really liked that the lesson videos are short - anywhere between 5 - 15 mins and then you practice the skills after. This helped me learn quickly and build my confidence so I could play around to see what else I could do. I'm looking forward to completing Python Advanced next!

I really loved the Python course. Matt explains it simply and concisely. The projects were fun and kept me engaged. I was able to understand some things I'd never understood before by watching videos, which made me very happy. Now I feel confident using Python, and I’m excited to keep growing my skills 🤗🤗🤗!

The course is really engaging, and since the videos are not too long, you never feel bored. I especially appreciate the exercises after each video, as they help you apply what you've just learned right away.

I found the videos clear and easy to follow. I felt the design of the lessons was great for teaching you each piece, but also starting over to really solidify how all the pieces fit together. If you get stuck or are just looking to clarify anything, asking a question in Slack is easy and the responses are timely. The Weather App project was fun and depending on your comfort level, you are given the choice to simply show the current weather or make it more complex by also showing the forecast.

I am thrilled to have completed SheCodes Basic! It has not only enhanced my understanding of the coding/website design but also equipped me with practical skills I can apply in real-life situations. I really enjoyed watching the videos and coding with Matt, he made it very easy for me. I also appreciate all the people who helped me. I feel way more confident in my skills now and can't wait to put what I learned into action. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to deepen their knowledge and skills!

SheCodes has been very helpful in improving my knowledge in HTML and CSS. I am proud to say that this program has really improved my coding skills and it was exciting to do, to top it all off. I will say i did not go through all the lessons because I could understand what I had to do in just watching a few videos. I highly recommend SheCodes to young girls who want to pursue IT but do not have the funds to go to University or College. SheCodes has our back Girls!

Even though I could somewhat interpret basic code before, this course gave me a much deeper understanding of the ins and outs of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Inspecting an HTML page feels now much more approachable and clearer because I understand how everything works together. I really enjoyed playing around with the code, especially in the final project, where I had the freedom to create a page from scratch—it was both fun and rewarding! The engaging videos, interactive challenges, and detailed solutions made learning a breeze. I’m excited to keep building my skills and take the next step in my coding journey!

She Codes Responsive was very useful and interesting. There is always help available and the videos are easy to follow/understand.

It was good for beginners but there are things that are shown during the lesson videos, that are not explained where they come from. If they are discussed on advanced topics, they should not be shown because they create a little confusion. Also, I would recomend another type/form of help, either than slack. Threads can get a little bit chaotic.

The SheCodes plus addon course was really fun and it was easy to follow along with Matt in the videos. End product was quite impressing. 😀 Looking forward to next workshop.

I learned about the opportunity to study web development through a special aid program offered by the Delac Foundation via the KuñaTech Instagram account, a Paraguayan organization where my compatriots aim to provide development opportunities for women in the tech field. I eagerly shared this great opportunity with other women, friends, and university classmates whom I deeply care for. Through scholarships, I am fortunate enough to have knowledge of English, which encouraged me to apply. Despite the demanding nature of my university studies, I managed to complete this first course with valuable knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which also helped me in a university subject, Software Engineering II. SheCodes classes are excellent; the videos are not too long, and the instructor explains very well. He explains concepts that can be complex in a very simple way, making them easier to understand. Additionally, his English is very clear, making it easy to follow his explanations. The deadline extensions were also a big help, as some weeks are busier than others, which sometimes made it difficult for me to focus on the course. On the other hand, I absolutely loved how everything is personalized for women, and the gender focus provided for the course has been a great source of motivation for me. Everything looks pretty and aesthetically pleasing. Another aspect I really enjoyed was learning by creating parts of a project and finishing the course by building my own project. The community is wonderful, and the tools SheCodes provides to its students are incredibly useful. I am very, very, very grateful for this amazing opportunity, and I am excited for the upcoming workshops ❤️😊

Weeks 1 to 3 of this workshop were great - we learnt a lot and there were many useful hints and techniques to save us time and make our projects look more attractive. However, weeks 4 and 5 were disappointing - none of the information was new, and the hours of videos were basically just watching Matt code an example project using techniques we had already been taught. I feel like this workshop could be cut to three or four weeks; by that point students should be well prepared to work autonomously (referring back to past videos if needed). I didn't want to skip any of the videos in the later weeks in case there was important new information, but it was just consolidation and repetition. Building a portfolio for our project was really useful, and it's great how things are broken down step by step, but each video could have just been way shorter. I'm still really looking forward to moving onto other SheCodes workshops, and I'm sure the content is going to get more challenging again.
