I barely finished SheCodes Basic workshop and I cannot wait to start the next one. I truly enjoyed everything about it! The weekly homework made me repeat what I've learned and also pushed me into searching other videos on Youtube and learning more in-depth. Recommend this to everyone that wants to get into this world of programming. The satisfaction of looking at something you created it's AMAZING!

After becoming quite intrigued about the dazzling world of Information Technology through my expat students, I decided to take this course to dip my toes into coding. I REALLY enjoyed it! It's very well set-up and totally beginner-friendly. The length of the videos is perfect and I like that you are constantly challenged to put your new knowledge into practice. I never expected that it would actually become quite addictive to play around with the different options, it definitely sparked my interest in learning more! Thank you SheCodes ππΌ
I loved these 3 weeks of coding workshops! I've learnt so much and the format makes it really enjoyable. It is very clear, user-friendly and the examples used are simple. Loved the length of the videos, they are quite short so it makes the course super easy to fit in a busy timetable. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in coding π
I really enjoyed Shecodes Basics and highly recommend it to everyone who want to get an idea what coding is about! It was fun to watch Matt's videos as they are easy to follow/understand. The challanges were a lot of fun too. But mostly I enjoyed doing my own project, because you can already play around with the skills you learnt. I will definitley enroll for the SheCodes Pro course as I now know that I absolutely wanna move on and become a professional front end developer!
SheCodes Plus is just what I have been looking for: very instructive short videos that motivate to learn to code. Now I seriously think of resigning from my job and becoming a FrontEnd developer. I just fell in love with coding.
I've really enjoyed my SheCodes basic course! I started doing it whilst on maternity leave with my 8 week old (probably not the best time to start learning something new - but I did it!). I realised that when I go back to work, I don't want to do what I was doing previously and want something which is more flexible. Matt made everything really easy to understand, and each video broke everything down well and the homework after each section was really helpful. I've really enjoyed the course so far, and look forward to continue with the next course when my little one is a bit older and we're in more of a routine. For the meantime, I will revisit the old videos and keep practicing to enhance my skills!
Challenging but rewarding sessions. As a visual learner I really benefitted from the clear and concise instruction through Matt's videos. The exercises build and layer quite quickly and each new item is practiced in several ways. By the end of the course, a lot of the new skills become automatic. A really engaging course which I enjoyed thoroughly.
Taking a coding class as a busy mom of 2 babies seemed hard, but this course made it doable! Small quick videos and engaging challenges made learning fun. I know that I will be able to continue to build upon the skills I have just learned.

This course is awesome!!!! Matt explains VERY WELL and makes everything easier to understand. The tasks after each video help you a lot to understand what was explained in the videos before. I am super happy that I joined SheCodes, and I can't wait to continue with the other courses.
Wanted to dip my feet in since I already have coding knowledge but wanted to expand some more, so this was more of a refresher of some sort. Thought that if my experience in the first course went well I would try out the other courses. I'll end up buying the next course, so for everyone who is scared of trying coding I think this is a good step in the right direction! It's super easy to follow and the videos are helpful. I enjoyed this She Codes Basic Workshop. I really liked Matt's teaching style and well-structured videos. I love the challenge after each lesson. I worked as a backend developer and wanted to learn new skills in Frontend. Because of this workshop, I was able to update my existing knowledge. Joining SheCodes has been one of the best decisions of my life. I always found coding interesting but never thought I could do it as I have Dyslexia and struggle to stay focused, so I thought it would be way too hard to understand and learn. The way the lessons are built and presented makes it so easy to get things done because you can take your time, pause the videos and have as many breaks as you need, and Matt explains and demonstrates it in a way that somebody like me can fully understand. Having challenges to do was also really helpful because it's allowing you to practice and make sure you know what your doing before moving on. SheCodes Plus Responsive was great fun and I learned a lot! Matt's videos are great and he demonstrates everything in a clear and easy to follow manner. Building the portfolio website was challenging at times, but it was great to put the learning into practice and really rewarding to have the end product. I tried every book and online workshop there was to try to learn coding but nothing worked until I decided to try SheCodes. The videos are very detailed and easy to follow and the team is very supportive and quick to respond if you get stuck and need help.
Prior to starting SheCodes, I had no coding experience nor knew if it was something I'd enjoy, but Matt's videos are fun and super easy to follow. The challenges in between lessons are a perfect test of what was just learned. Even if I didn't grasp a concept initially, I could always go back and watch the lessons; even from previous modules. What I really enjoyed is I could watch the videos and do my homework from anywhere in the world, on my own time. I am also grateful for the amazing SheCodes team who were quick, kind and patient when answering questions. Thanks!!
I had always thought that coding and programming languages were so difficult and totally unlearnable, but only 3 weeks in my coding journey and I can't believe I am totally killing it! They teaching videos are so simplified and easy to grasp. They challenges after each lesson encourages practices and mastery and are fun to do. They projects are a total game-changer. The way the class is built is just perfeeeect! πIt's super easy to follow and to understand in a short amount of time (actually, a lot less than I thought it would take!). πThe classes are divided into bite sized videos, never too long, never boring, just straight to the point. πThe comprehension of the given material is helped (a lot) by the mandatory (and short) exercices. πThe fact that you have to send the exercises after each important class and that you have βspecific datesβ to give them back, makes me feel accountable for my own progress. πAlso, the flexibility of the curriculum make the workshops a lot more fun (for me at least!) because there is no pressure at all. Cannot wait to continue to the next workshops. π€

I am happy that I decided to take this workshop, every week was challenging but it was satisfying to see how in the end it all came together. The instructional videos were very useful as I keep referring back to them and having access to the slack community helped me keep pushing forward whenever I was getting stuck on a homework problem. SheCodes Plus was much challenging as compared to SheCodes Basic. Even then, the advantage of SheCodes courses is that we can re-watch the videos, and we are able to get great help from the SheCodes Team on the Slack channel, who answer our questions ever so patiently and promptly. It is also great that Matt will explain the rationale behind certain concepts and some good practices, rather than just step-by-step theory. It is a sense of achievement and joy when we see the codes work properly! Lastly, it is inspiring and fun to browse the projects of other students! Thank you SheCodes Team!

Very easy to understand videos with plenty of tips and tricks to help you figure things out on your own. It definitely came to together for me doing the project at the end of the three weeks.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Plus course and working on the final project - it really helped me to consolidate my knowledge of Javascript and built my confidence in my ability to code on my own! The Slack channels were really helpful for discussing problems and getting quick responses, and I also found it helped to be able to read through other people's questions and see their code. Being able to work on all the mini-challenges without worrying about failing or being assessed, but knowing there were solution videos accessible if I got stuck, also made a big difference to feeling like I was free to see how far I could get on my own and helped build my confidence in my own abilities.
Great balance between information given in videos and knowledge a student must find on her own. Greatly structured cheatsheets and good recommendations on sources to be used to fill in the gaps.
I truly love how the class were being conducted, even though the videos were pre-recorded but everything that was inside was very relatable. I love the challenges that were given too.
SheCodes has an awesome platform! It was so easy to follow along with the videos and the corresponding challenges. Having a solution video made me feel less anxious about not getting the full solution the first time. Highly recommend!
I enjoyed learning HTML, CSS, and JS in the SheCodes Basics course. The videos are short and straightforward making them easy to understand. Also, there are so many good projects for each lesson, which make learning more active.

I love codingπ so thank you SheCodes, also I suggested this workshop to my sister and her friend, because this workshop is very useful and conveyed information easily. I learned html, CSS and JavaScript in just 3 weeks.

I think this course is a great way to figure out if you want to dive deeper into this topic. I really enjoyed the provided videos for self-paced learning. The instructions were easy to follow.
Matt's tutorials are not only thorough, but they're well-organized so that they build off of each other. Week 1 was all excitement as I realized that the HTML I learned 20 years ago in high school had still been bouncing around in my skull somehow. Adding CSS on top of it was a piece of cake, and the course lays everything out for you one step at a time. Week 2 was all JavaScript, which was brand new to me. There were times I got tangled in my own code during a challenge, but I was never frustrated because it was so simple to go through that week's threads and see if anyone else had similar problems in the past. If so, there were always helpful students and teachers ready to give solutions and help work out the issue. I came here from trying to trudge through Coursera's Google IT certification courses, but I was really struggling and kind of worried that maybe I wasn't quite 'smart enough' for a new career tech or something. However, based on how easily I adapted and absorbed the SheCodes training, I think it's just the different approach Matt brings, which is more visual learning (since he has his code in the video right in front of you so that you can pause it and follow along in your own session of VSCode,) in addition to the small challenges at the end of each lesson, which helps you practice and cement the coding you just learned. Aside from the videos, there are all kinds of learning/coder aids, such as cheat-sheets, color palettes, and CSS generators. Fantastic program. I'm so glad I took a chance from the beginning and signed up for SheCodes Pro. I'm ready to rock the rest of this program and have an exciting, fulfilling career. FINALLY! Thank you, Matt!
I really love how easy to learn and how the videos were relatively short. It helped a lot in keeping my attention and motivation up. This is a great class for testing your interests and making coding seem less daunting. Would definitely recommend.
This was one of my favorite courses so far! I loved to be able to create and design my own portfolio to showcase the work I've done so far. I enjoyed playing around with the endless possibilities of Bootstrap and CSS to make my portfolio as responsive as possible. And as always, Matt was very clear and helpful in the videos. I look forward to learning React π€©!
It's really greet that most of the time is invested in coding rather than learning since the videos are really on point, also it gives you a chance to learn while coding too!!!
this is the third course I have completed and I can only say wonderful things! Matt teaches in an easy to understand way, the videos are very complete, the help when needed in Slack is always very good and anyone who hasn't taken any SheCodes course, MUST DO IT!!! I hope to have my first opportunity in the job market soon, as I already feel prepared by SheCodes.
Great and funny course! The videos were easy to follow. You can go at your own pace, and the challenges are significant to learn step by step. I had some knowledge of HTML but the Basics course helped me to put all the pieces together. Matt was reassuring and this didn't make me feel alone in my frustration. Plus, SheCodes has all the tools you need (the radio feature is awesome!)
I cannot understate how much I have learned in the past 8 weeks. There has been some moments of stress but the SheCodes team are so helpful and the videos so instructive that it is impossible to lose interest. Thank you for creating such an accessible program, i am so proud of all I have achieved so far and grateful for all the help i received from the SheCodes community.
I had zero experience with coding and it is all so much clearer to me now! There are some tough concepts to learn, but Matt does a great job explaining them. I also love that I can watch the videos as many times as I need. I am a teacher and will teach coding to my students this year now that I feel more comfortable helping my students if and when they get stuck with our own programs.
SheCodes Plus was a great experience. I really enjoyed the step-by-step videos showing how to make your code more functional and clear, as well as learning more about API and the GitHub workflow. I'm looking forward to taking the Pro and React courses next.
Thank you for another interesting and insightful journey through responsive web development! As the other two workshops I really enjoyed consolidating and refreshing my knowledge. It's very helpful to be able to go back to some videos in terms you forgot how to build something. I also believe the documentation is quite handy. As I have coded with RoR before I can't wait for the last one, React, which will probably be my favourite! (Frameworks π)
SheCodes helped me to fall in love with programming :) The biggest benefit of this course is that you can produce something after only 10 minutes of videos --> that really gives you extra zeal to go further and learn more.
Passing these courses is like a magic trip to creating web sites. Information is given in a clearest way. There's no boring lectures and practice not connecting to reality. We made real stunning projects. Working projects which could appear in google search very often. The most complicated things are explained in the easiest way. Mr Matt is very, very good at coaching! How could I live without his videos and teaching??!!!π I feel stronger and more acquainted in such a new professional line for me. SheCodes's changed my life and this is about me: "She Codes")))))

The SheCodes Basics Workshop has made coding a fun and easy skill to learn! I appreciate all of the lessons (and videos) that were created for this workshop. All of the steps were very clear throughout the lessons in each week.
I always thought coding would never be something I would be able to do, until I found SheCodes! I learn through seeing and doing, so having videos of Matt explaining what he's doing step by step was a huge help! I can now add my projects to my UI/UX portfolio, and apply my new understanding of coding to my work with developers.
I honestly was not sure I would be able to learn coding. Ive watched videos on youtube just to be left feeling confused and defeated. This week after just 2 weeks of learning, I created my own webpage and I am so proud of myself.
Short concise videos, by a benevolent instructor. Recommend if you have time to absorb new material at a fast pace. He allows his students to think for themselves and use the search engine of their choice to become resourceful in finding their answers to their questions. I didn't need to use the Slack chat because everything was well explained underneath the lesson video or in the solutions. Thank you, good luck out there to everyone!

I have actually managed to create my own Weather App, fully functional and everything! Learning API calling and integration was the most fun of all. Matt's videos are so impressively thought through in that he helps you build code one piece at a time and make connections between functions in the same way the mind tries to see patterns.
