This was a really great experience. I love how Matt explained everything. I loved the idea of learn then actually practice hands on. I find it very difficult to sit and watch long videos and PowerPoints. I like how Matt broke everything down into smaller categories and provided an opportunity to actually practice after teaching through a short video. I am a hands-on learner and I feel that he catered to my learning style.
I thoroughly enjoyed learning the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Matt's videos were very clear and the challenges really help cement what was taught in the lessons.
I really enjoyed this course. I have a hard time focusing on videos sometimes, but I love that they are very well divided and digestible, so it doesn't feel like too much information. Coding itself is so fun and I appreciate that SheCodes creates such a comprehensive guide to it.
A great introductory course to coding. I found Matt's instructions to be very helpful, even as someone that had no prior background in coding. I would say that the first week is definitely the hardest, but once you grasp the basics, all the information you are learning makes sense and builds upon itself. I also found it helpful to watch the videos and practice the exercises at the same time (kinesthetic learner) and pausing/rewinding when I needed too. Also the extensions were a real life-saver around the holidays! Thanks for including that option!
I would highly recommend this coding course to anyone interested in learning how to code. The instructor, Matt, did a great job of keeping the videos engaging and concise, and the support team was very helpful and responsive on Slack. I never had to worry about falling behind because the pace of the course was manageable and there was always someone available to help me when I needed it. It was a challenging but rewarding experience, and I feel confident in my new skills!
Again one another strong, interesting course. I have learnt a lot. Using more JavaScript and APIs, made me feel more comfortable in Front-end development. I am getting less and less scared of designing websites which I've always been🤩. The step by step videos, were fabulous. I loved to learn how I can act more professional during coding or designing HTML (Mostly I loved the part of creating the html code using JS 🥲) Thanks SheCodes for this opportunity 🥰
I had never really done any of this before and it was surprising how fun it became. The videos were easily digestible and in combination with slack I felt like I was easily able to answer any questions I had that came up! I built a webpage, how crazy cool is that?!

SheCodes Plus was an amazing journey. I was having fun and enjoying building weather app. Everything I've learnt so far just clicked; I was able to debug my code, analyze it and sometimes even write the codes without going over the videos first. I just felt like a real coder! Thanks SheCodes and everyone working hard in this team!
Very fun and interesting workshop. Very happy with what we have learned. The pace and level of what you learn is also great. However, the videos could be updated and more prepared. They seem a bit "off the cuff", which - for the price of the course - could and should have been avoided. Good support on slack, but it can take time to get the level of support needed - and this led to me having to use extensions unnecessarily. Also, when attempting to fix some parts of the app - we are told that we cannot get support/help to solve this as that is something covered in a later workshop that is not a part of the course I have paid for - this is disappointing. But all in all - a great introduction to coding!

It is great that I can do this project at my own time. It may look complicated but replaying the videos helped me to understand how to code better.
I really liked the step-by-step instructions in the videos. This made it easy to follow the content and to constantly have small feelings of success during the course.
IT'S GREAT! It's good to be challenged and pushed to work things out for yourself, the instructions are clear and with a clear head they make perfect sense. Matt's videos are to the point and very useful when you focus. Seeing an end product at long last is very rewarding and I will be taking time to improve on it as I learn more in the next workshop!

So pleased with how SheCodes Plus has gone! I really struggled on a couple of weeks, particularly on advanced JS, but I was able to get through to the end and so pleased I stuck with it, even when it got very challenging. It was a huge relief to see that the final 2 weeks of the module was structured so that I could follow along with Matt's videos for building the weather app, I'm very glad this was the case, as otherwise I would've struggled. All in all still very much enjoying my journey with SheCodes and looking forward to Pro & Max!
This is the most challenging project and I will have to go back to it, again and again, to make sure that the well-explained videos and help from the slack community stick.
I starting coding completely from scratch, and SheCodes thought me the basics in such a good way. The short and precise videos from Matt was very understandable, and small challenges after each session was great! I would recommend everyone who is curios about coding to try this course!

This was a good workshop to learn the basics for HTML/CSS/JS. The pace was reasonable. The challenges were a good way to immediately practice and reinforce the material presented in the lesson videos.

Loved the flow of the additional project for the basic course. Figuring out the dark theme was a little tricky to switch back and forth but being able to code along with the videos always helps with the understanding and application of the code making it a seamless learning process. ❤️
The videos are very clear and user friendly making it so much easier to understand HTML, CSS and Javascript in under 3 weeks! The 'Homework' after most videos were a great way to put what we'd just learnt into practice.
It's unbelievable how much I learned in just one additional week! Matt has the ability to condense all the information in easy-to-understand videos and constantly challenge you to make the whole experience even more fun. So far, I enjoyed SheCodes so much and I can't wait to start SheCodes Plus.

It has been so helpful to be able to learn coding on my own time by watching Matt's thorough tutorial videos. A big part of what makes this course very helpful as well is the Slack community. Being able to see similar issues others face and seeing solutions is a big help when I would get stuck. I'm a UI/UX Designer, so I don't need to create code in my job, but this course has made it much easier for me to talk with developers and I am now more comfortable exploring code in inspect mode in order to find things out myself. SheCodes Plus was a fulfilling journey for me - racked my brains as I was introduced to API (the most exciting part), worked on advanced Javascript, pieced everything together, and built my very own weather app. Love the bite-sized videos and how Matt provided industry advice and tips in his capacity as a professional coder (on top of being a teacher).
Really easy to use platform, short no waffle training videos that you can watch in your own time but with a (flexible if need be) deadline to keep you on track

I absolutely loved this workshop! Although I already had some experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Matt really helped me to fully understand the fundamentals by thoroughly explaining each concept which gave me the confidence to be able to write my own code without having to use google as much as I use to. The videos and challenges are also easy to follow along with and keep you engaged until the next topic. I'm excited to continue learning through SheCodes!
This training was so engaging from the start to finish, I also found it very insightful. He was able to carry me along session after session. The training has clarity with good choice of word. I like the fact that I can always go back to the previous videos, this help so much with the challenges and the solution helps to identify my mistakes and makes me better for the next lesson.
The course is a fun learning experience with a mixture of tutorial videos and hands-on practice. Feedback is given quickly and there are also useful additional resources to explore.

I'm hoping to pursue a degree in computer science but wasn't sure if I'd really get the hang of coding or be genuinely interested for that matter. After seeing several videos and attending their webinar I decided to enroll in SheCodes and its been an amazing experience. Communicating with matt and gaining the confidence and interest has allowed me to come a long way in my coding journey. I loved this workshop! I have watched many videos and read many websites, but none were as helpful as this workshop, especially in the JavaScript part. Although it was educational, it wasn't overwhelming at all!

It had been a very good journey with SheCodes so far, the lecture videos were very interesting and informative. And it was super easy to learn from the videos. I enjoyed completing all the challenges and the project was also very interesting .
Quick way to get a basic knowledge in html, css and javascript; The workload is absolutely fine while working full-time, however you need to block some time for the challenges and homework. Sometimes it took me a bit longer than expected but it's absolutely manageable. Matt's videos are great, easy to follow and actually quite entertaining, I also really liked that the videos aren't too long so you can stay focused and take some breaks in between.
I really enjoy learning with Matt! I thought I wouldn't be able to code, but surprisingly in a few hours, I was already doing it and learning a lot :) The exercises are fun, and the method of learning and putting it right away into practice makes all the difference because I got motivated to continue. The videos are easy to follow, and everything is explained effectively. In the future, I hope I can join the next level!

Great! Videos are very clear. Much better than Udemy. I have personally attended some local courses and i do not find it as good as this. The instructor managed to break things down really simply. The Slack channel is useful and you almost always get a reply.
Great workshop! I had some delays due to illness/moving/life in general, but I got it finished in the end (thanks to extensions!) and am very happy with the result. I love the style of teaching in these videos, and I'm excited to continue on to the next workshop when I have a little more time! I am looking forward to learning more about React and other in-demand skills.
I never considered coding, I've been in the healthcare field for 8 years. Since COVID it's been tough, and I was at a point where I wanted to do something, but I wasn't sure what. I came across an ad on Facebook for SheCodes. I thought "why not check it out?". I originally believed it was all about math, but was I wrong. After the introduction session, I signed up right away with SheCodes Basics, just to get my foot in the door and see what it was all about. Matt made it easy to follow along with the videos and the fact that even though after you submit you are given the solution, there's no one way to solve it. Knowing this, it made it all the better to not feel as if there's only ONE right way to do something. I've genuinely enjoyed myself so far and considering going back to school to turn this into a possible career for myself!
Absolutely loved the Responsive course. I already did SheCodes Basic and Plus, and Responsive is my favorite one so far! Learning all the Bootsrap tricks, deploying the website to Github, transforming a Figma design into code, and improving overall coding skills really make this programming journey rewarding. I learned a lot and really enjoyed creating the Portfolio webpage, so much that I even created two: my personal portfolio page, and an artist page. The course is very well constructed – the instruction videos by Matt are concrete and easy to follow, and are a really clear explanation for the corresponding homework assignments. When getting stuck, it was really easy to reach out to tutors and get all the help I needed on Slack, a special thanks for that!
SheCodes really helped me with learning how to code. The instructor did a good job implementing everything for a beginner's journey for HTML, CSS and Javascript. You will get discouraged, but luckily SheCodes has a great team to get you through. From the videos, to the Slack chatroom, to the customer service. I'm very confident and I'm ready for the other workshops.

I knew nothing about React, but I learned a lot from this. I went through the videos and built my site as we went. Then, I tried altering the source code from Matt and building it. I got awesome results and learned a ton both ways. I'd recommend building the app multiple times with different methods for the best results!
React is a real challenge. Currently, I'm not sure at all that I am able to create any react app without Matt's videos. However, I'm happy it's done. Maybe, after some time, I will feel better to try my force in SheCodes challenges. Good luck and patience to everybody!
This is a very good course for a beginner. The provided videos and resources are great for someone without previous background, although I would recommend to go for the available longer terms to go for a deeper dive into coding.
One of my favorite things about SheCodes, is the time and content management in sessions. the lessons just long enough to deliver the main idea; after which, you will be able to learn more by spending more time studying the extra references and examples, or keep going on with your current knowledge. The videos are short and sweet and to the point, but to the point and practical; so no more long boring tutorials, but also no more tutorials in which the instructor just doesn’t go through the important steps and leaves you with so many questions and Errors in your code. As someone with a full time job who is also pursuing a master’s degree, I especially recommend SheCodes and it’s method/system of education to people who struggle to find the time for learning. Also, I already had some coding base, and having seen some other courses and methods, I believe that THIS can be a great place to start for the absolute beginners.
Well-structured videos, you never get bored, if you have any struggles, you can always get help on slack. I had amazing 5 weeks, and I am so proud of myself completing the final project. Highly recommend and waiting to start next workshop!
The lessons are easy to understand and there are a lot of resources provided for students to get assistance with their assignments. Solution videos were really helpful and the ability to re-do assignments for each lessons made it possible to grasp concepts even more.

I only just recently graduated from university and found myself questioning what the next chapter for me is. As I continued to do so, I bumped into SheCodes, allowing me to expand on other possible future careers I may be interested in. So far I only completed the first workshop which to my surprise was actually really fun and simple to follow thanks to Matt and his very helpful videos. I have had so much enjoyable time learning react with SheCodes; I had tried to learn react with Youtube videos, spent months on them, not much of a progress or a good foundation I could get...and here, thanks to Matt and SheCodes Team, in nearly 2 weeks I could understand everything! Loved that we built the same app that we completed with J.S.; this way the differences got noticeable!

When I first heard about SheCodes, I wanted to see what it was really about. I purchased just the basic a few months ago, unfortunately I gotten behind. This course was exciting! The best thing is that in the end, you'll be able to build your own weather app. Also, I've learned a lot of great and new things. Perfect coding course, really liked that all videos are short enough, but very structured that help me not tired and be focused ,nice and available explanation, pretty challenging tasks, but very interesting.
I've never seen such training in my life. Not only am I enthusiastic about learning how to code, but I am also terrible at learning and memorizing them. It was unbelievable that I could stand watching the videos up to the end and follow the lessons without feeling tired. The time of each video is standard, and the way of training is lovely! I can only thank this group and their support for giving this chance to many of us using the lessons. Extra thanks to the team, who were always ready to help whenever I got stuck in coding.

I couldn't see videos because I am in Iran and VPN doesn't work. I just read and search for something to do it. if it is possible please change your videos player provider.
I struggle with confidence however the way these classes are taught makes me realise when it comes to coding, I have no worries. If I needed help, the help was there. I could re-watch the videos as much as needed. This is finally the stepping stone for me
This was a really great add on to the SheCodes Basics course. Bite sized videos and challenges make this really doable even while working full time and volunteering. Can't wait to start my next course with SheCodes!
SheCodes was awesome! I loved having the flexibility of the extensions as I worked through the different challenges and projects during my busy schedule, and I also loved the step by step guidance of the videos. I thought coding was too hard for me and now I believe that I could pursue it if I really decide to! For now I have the basics and that will help me understand the foundation of coding.
Thank you for this workshop, my only problem was that the internet in Iran is very weak and the videos could not be fully opened. It would be better if I could download the videos.

I like the work at your own pace style and the short videos. I find that I am more likely to watch and listen to an entire video if it's no more than 15 minutes long. I also find the challenges after each video super helpful with understanding and remembering the codes. It is a great beginner course for anyone at any level.
I really liked to watch the videos every day. It was interesting for me to make it and I could understand it much easier.

This course is really good :) Enough information to make something good as a first project. And not overwhelming for newbies. Videos made as you can easily follow the topic. You will get a small pieces of knowledge but for everything. And you could decide at the end if you want go further.
I learned a lot in this workshop and it was really fun working on my own portfolio website for the main project which i can build off of and use to showcase my work going forward. I like that Matt troubleshoots things in the videos and lets you know what the best practices are and why so you can apply it to real world experience.
I didn't think I'd be able to build a weather app in the beginning of SheCodes Plus. There were many trial and errors to get it working, but with the help of the support team and the videos I was able to complete the final project. Overall, it was fun to see it slowly come together and gave me the feeling of accomplishment. If you love to learn new things and enjoy challenges, this workshop is for you.

This course was amazing because it takes you by the hand and teaches you how to code, step by step. I love the Matt features in the course videos, making the learning fun. However above all, the course is well structured so it is easy to get inspired and implement the techniques. All in all, I expended a great time during this course.
When I first joined this 3 week course I didn't know what to expect whatsoever, however after the first week of the classes I understood that this is what I love to do and how much potential I could have completing it. I found it very useful that I could push back the deadlines for the homework as I had university deadlines due too. Everything that Matt explained during the videos was clear and concise and very understandable.

I have a digital marketing degree but have always wanted another skill to distinguish myself from others. Hence, I have taken up coding despite having no prior experience. This course has really helped me improve and refine my capabilities as a beginner coder and I could not be happier! Javascript was a bit trickier and sometimes frustrating, but it was the right kind of difficult to help one improve upon their skills. The videos from lessons were always detailed and easy to follow as well. In the worst-case scenario, the Slack group was very useful in me solving any difficulties I had. There are many tools at one's disposal in the event that they are stuck on anything. I learned a lot in the past couple of weeks and would recommend this course to anyone wishing to learn code!
