A GREAT COURSE- for those who are willing to put in the effort and consistency would recommend alongside helpful YouTube videos.
This course was a good first step in learning the basics for coding! Well thought out lessons with videos and exercises to complete in a timely manner. I really enjoyed starting and learning from SheCodes!
Learning React with SheCodes was fun! The videos were incredibly helpful in breaking down complex concepts and making them easy to understand. Thanks to SheCodes, I now feel confident on learning more react and working on some projects

When I first started I had no clue what HTLM,CSS and Javascript is and Matt took me step by step. I felt like a baby learning to walk but has a very good teacher. I kept going back to videos when I needed to refer and asking help from Slack and it made it an easy journey for me. I highly recommend SheCodes. May they keep up the good work.
I highly recommend SheCodes, it's beginner friendly, the videos are easy to follow and the SheCodes team is very helpful on slack whenever you are stuck. Working on the weather app was so much fun even with all the bumps on the road.
Shecodes really helped me, I had no background in Tech but now I can tell a different story. You get to learn and understand in the learning videos and be able to practice it the challenge they give you also they are platforms like Slack where you are able to ask all the questions you have relating in coding. Over the past decade or so, I have served as the head of various departments of technical engineers and developers. During this time, my daily routine has transitioned from hands-on engineering towards managing, strategising, and coordinating projects. Though I've made a few attempts at coding, the knowledge I've acquired has largely been left to gather dust in the back of my mind. Nonetheless, I've always harboured a desire to play a more hands-on role. With this in mind I decided to to reignite my passion and embarked on my SheCodes journey, starting with the Basics course. It's been nothing short of a revelation. This course has helped me reconnect with my natural coding ability, offering an enjoyable and exciting way back into the world of coding. The material was engaging and the videos are knowledgeable and approachable. The fact that I could study at my own pace, fitting the course around my schedule, was an added bonus. It was a joy to return to the nuts and bolts of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript after such a long hiatus. What I particularly appreciated was the process of re-engaging with problem-solving, the kind of critical thinking required to build something from the ground up. The course reminded me of how much I enjoy the creativity involved in coding, the challenge of making something functional and aesthetically pleasing. It's been a pleasure to have that part of my brain engaged again, and to feel my passion for coding rekindled. Looking ahead, I am particularly excited about starting the SheCodes Max course. I feel it is the perfect next step to dive deeper into coding and explore its many facets that blend creativity and engineering. So, to anyone considering a coding course, I would say go for it. Whether you are a seasoned developer or a beginner, SheCodes provides a fantastic environment for learning, growing and reigniting your passion for coding. It certainly did for me.

I found the SheCodes Plus workshops challenging but fun. I learnt a lot, and really expanded the skills gained in the Basics programme. The early weeks go over what was previously learnt and I found that a useful way of consolidating my learning, and building my skills. I was really pleased with the project I was able to create in such a short space of time. For absolute beginners, like myself, this is a perfect combination of hand-holding (via the informative videos) and encouraging you to find solutions. A really interesting and informative course.

*sighs* What a challenging 3 weeks learning coding with no I.T. background. I really learnt how to be patient with myself although it was frustrating at times. At times it was a tad confusing and even overwhelming, especially having no prior experience in coding. But the community here is always eager to help, and the resources online make it possible for you to keep pushing through! I enjoy Matt's teaching style and how he doesn't edit his videos to the point where he seamlessly eases through the lesson. Mistakes are shown and corrected, and that's what truly helps me learn!

I've enjoyed the SheCodes basics course way more than I expected - so much so that I plan to upgrade to pro! Matt is a great teacher and I love the format of short videos with embedded challenges. It's so much easier to focus and to practise skills straight away rather than watching long videos and trying to remember everything. Would highly recommend.

My name is Mahya, and I come from an MBA background. I have completed the foundation program, and it was really flexible for me as a busy woman! Matt is a wonderful teacher, and the program is well designed. After watching short videos, there are challenges that helped me to learn better. I always wanted to learn to code, but thought it would be too complex and time-consuming. But this program changed my perception about coding. As with the Basic and Basic Add-On courses, It was super fun and I learned a lot, Matt's videos were very well done and easy to understand, while still leaving enough of a challenge for you to problem solve and learn!! Creating the weather app was both challenging and fun. Having the videos nice and short allows you to progress at your own pace and get a better understanding for each lesson.

SheCodes was a wonderful experience. The videos were very easy to follow and easy to understand. Matt is correct that it is fun to try and figure things out how to make your code unique and fun. I can now look at a piece of code and get a general idea of what it means and how it functions. I still have a lot to learn, but the basics is great and I feel like I learned a lot!
I really enjoyed this course! Matt explained everything very clearly and having access to the videos 24/7 allows you to learn at your own pace, which is very helpful. The challenges were engaging and allowed you to apply and test what was taught in each lesson. I felt this was a very safe space to begin learning to code.

I loved this course, I've tried multiple other courses before but they all got me at learning JavaScript. It all seemed too complicated and there were no videos to help. Matt explains everything in a fun way so now I understand what I am doing and what I need to do to fix problems.
It was hard at first to take in so much information at once, I even had to watch more than a few videos multiple times because I didn't understand it the first time around. I feel so proud of myself now that I finished the first course. I'm excited to keep learning more in-depth material!
I wanted to learn Coding for a long time and this was the perfect course to for me as I had zero previous knowledge about Coding. I really enjoyed how the lecture videos were set up as I am more of a visual learner and it was quite easy to understand. I will most definitely continue with Coding !

Before taking this course I was intimidated by coding and believed it was too difficult for me and not something I could easily learn. However, after taking SheCodes Basic I realized that coding is not as scary as I thought and I am capable of learning this new skill. When I started learning coding, I thought this is too hard I won't be able to do this. But then it is not characteristic of me to start something without finishing it, so I pressed on and watched the videos over and over. I 'm thanks of She Codes for providing me with this educational opportunity. The course was very well designed. We designed a project step by step like a puzzle.but i went through a difficult situation. I can only access She Codes educational videos through strong vpn on my mobile phone. In fact, we need vpn to access She Codes emails and log in to Slack. Sometimes it takes hours that I can watch a video for a few minutes. In the first weeks, my vpn stopped working. It was difficult days because all acsses were closed I was working several shifts. I didn't have much time to devote to educations I was like a bird trapped in a cage, but I kept repeating to myself that there will surely be a way, i 'm sure. Fortunately by accident one of the old vpn on my phone, which had alreadybeen disabled , was able to access Google Play and I was able to access the movies with the new vpn also during the course, my computer broke down twice,also one time I got corona virus that i had to use Request extention , the Request extention in she codes were very good for me. She Codes training courses are designed in such a way that you can pass the course in any situation without worry. Now, despite all the difficulties, I was able to finish the course.
I haven't had so much fun studying as much as I have in the past three weeks. Matt's videos are clear, short enough to keep your attention, and keep you going. The exercises after each lesson were really central to helping me grasp the concepts. I am grateful to have had this opportunity and hope to continue on. Thank you team SheCodes!

I have been building upon the strong foundation I gained in the SheCodes Plus program and the hands-on project was, as usual, pretty interesting to do and allowed me to apply what I learned and strengthen my problem-solving skills. The world clock project had me stuck for a little while as I really wanted to do what I had in mind but I got there in the end after multiple hours online going through forums and videos! π©βπ»

This workshop was very hard for me to get through at times. With my full-time job, and wrapping up this last semester of college, it was hard to put in the time necessary to finish this workshop. Furthermore, I often had to go back and rewatch videos for topics I had forgotten. But either way, I finished it and I am so proud of myself! Thank you Matt and the SheCodes team!
As a complete beginner, I absolutely enjoyed this workshop, though it had it's trials and errors now and thenπ . The short lesson videos were great for me as a beginner, as I did not feel too overwhelmed and enabled me to grasp each lesson quite well. The entire learning experiencing thus far is just awesome!!!

Lessons are divided into bite-size pieces. The instructor's micro-learning structure enables students to learn a little at a time and at their own pace.
