It was an amazing experience having my first workshop with SheCodes! I loved every step in the process and enjoyed seeing the outcome improve every time I learned and applied a new skill. The gradual buildup of knowledge, the bits of challenges in most lessons, and the tips provided in the solution videos as well as in the snippets all helped me maintain what I learned from the lessons, practice on it, and even expand it. Matt is a great tutor! he never misses mentioning the tips and tricks on what to pay attention to when it comes to the most common mistakes. He also makes sure to always teach you how to search for info yourself and the tools you can use to experiment with new approaches. I also feel grateful for the fact that SheCodes allowed me to extend my deadlines a couple of times! I cannot believe that I learned all that in this short time! Thanks a million to Matt and his fantastic team!
This course has been really really exciting and Matt is an excellent teacher! Those videos definitely taught me a lot and I am happy it is being done like this so I could go back in case I don't quite remember. This course gives you a lot of flexibility and for that, I am extremely happy. I have always wanted to start my own business and for my final project, I did a demo of my prospective business page and I was overwhelmed with emotions. Looking forward to learning more so I can improve it!

I work full time, my brain isn't always 'online' after a long day, but the videos were easy to follow and good references for when I was struggling with something. I didn't know if I was going to be good at coding or even enjoy it, but after this first course I feel prepped and excited for the next one! SheCodes was such a fun experience for me! I just moved to a new country recently and had some complications that resulted in me only being allowed to study in January of 2024. SheCodes has been a great opportunity for me to still be able to study and learn while waiting for college to start. The videos and exercises are easy to understand, it is so easy to ask questions and I love that there are deadlines. They really helped me to stay focused during the course. The basics course is great for people like myself who never tried this before and wanted to discover if this is something I would be interested in doing in the future.
I have learned so much from Matt. The videos were extremely imformative and being able to split everything into mini lessons was super beneficial and kept it from being overwhelming. I'm so excited to continue learning from him!

I have tried other online courses and I found the topic on responsiveness to be not so straightforward. However, Matt's videos and demo together with some tips helped me to understand this better. I am thankful to the SheCodes team and I have learnt much about Flexbox, Bootstrap CSS Utility classes and Media queries.
Before starting this journey I didn't think I could do it given my lack of knowledge in this area. So far I didn't find any difficulty in understanding the videos. Looking forward to stepping up to the next level ππΌ

SheCodes Basic helps refresh and update my knowledge on HTML, CSS and JavaScript in such a fun and easy way. I love how the videos are easy to follow and those extra codes and information on each lesson really help expand my comprehension of the subjects. Feedbacks from the team are also very prompt. The basic workshop is really beginner-friendly!
Definitely gets more "intense"/complicated compared to the previous workshop but that is expected. My brain hurts lol but I feel like I'm improving as a coder and can't wait to learn more, no matter how difficult it will get. Will always favor this type of learning, Matt's videos are 100% helpful/useful.
This course was very interesting and i learnt a lot. Some of the videos, audio and information is outdated and hard to understand. I also wish there would be more information under the video which would help with note taking and understanding the content better. This course was very challenging but feel very glad i completed it.
the learning experience was a smooth ride, the videos made it much easier to learn. And its safe to say the basics workshop will not be my last. I am looking forward to learning more and upgrading my coding skills.

I really enjoyed building my weather app! The videos were easy to follow and helped me to go from a complete beginner to building my first app.
Before taking this course I had heard many negative things about React. However, as soon as I started coding and completing challenges, I realized that React is much better than vanilla JS because there were no long codes anymore (which was annoying to me) and I was able to categorize different parts of my code (It's more concise and maintainable). The SheCodes React workshop was well-structured (as in previous workshops); with comprehensible and easy-to-follow learning videos, multiple challenges, and a practical final project (updating the weather app). I would like to thank the instructor, Matt, for his excellent teaching and guidance. I learned so much from this course and I am grateful for the opportunity to participate.
As a complete beginner, SheCodes has been fantastic in introducing me to basic coding including HTML, CSS and JS. The workshops and videos involved and all resources available really suit my style of learning and has made it super easy to digest and understand in a short amount of time. I work full-time but SheCodes has made it easy to incorporate lessons in my schedule. I hope to continue to learning and developing in my coding journey π
This project was fun to complete. It seemed intimidating at first but the easy to follow videos and resources provided were very helpful in completing the project. My confidence with coding has grown after completing this workshop, and I am proud of the project that I was able to complete.
Challenges and homework done simultaneously with the training are very useful and help to learn more accurately about programming. Dividing videos into shorter sections will help make them easier to understand. Programming used to be boring for me, but now it's fun!
To be honest this challenge was super difficult, but Matt's videos and posting my questions on Slack made it a bit easier. Thank you!!

It was very helpful to build the project alongside the videos. Then it was fun to go back at the end and make any tweaks to the project to really make it your own. I learned so much from working on this project!
Wow what a week it has been ! I cannot believe how much I have been able to achieve in such a short space of time with the SheCodes basic program. The format of the program allows you to move at your own pace with quality videos and challenges that really do motivate you to move onto the next lesson. I did not stop smiling after each homework review to see the longed for and beautiful words "Your solution is valid! Good job π" I am really pleased I have done this and look forward to what comes next for me with SheCodes!

SheCodes Basics was fantastic! I'd never had any experience with coding before and I found this to be a great introduction. I work in learning design, and I loved the way the learning was paced, the short videos with an applied learning activity were fab. Can't wait to take another course!

The SheCodes Basic course is amazing! The content was challenging at times but the instructional videos made it easy to understand and were great to have to refer back to when completing homework assignments. If you're looking to enhance your coding skills, I highly recommend this course.
I really enjoyed this workshop. Matt explains everything in a simple, digestible way. I have ADD and long learning videos are usually super tiring for me, so the short moduls were great. Same for the challenges with deadlines - I learn best by physically doing the thing I'm studying (plus I'm more likely to actually practice, if someone else is "waiting" for a result), so this was great, aswell. Looking forward to the next one!

One of my favorite workshops yet! I learned how to create an entire responsive webpage embedded with media such as videos, music, social media posts, etc. This was quite enlightening and overall fun!
I had a lot of fun and learned a lot from this workshop! I am excited to learn even more. The videos were very informational. I like that you can learn at your own speed and pause and restart as needed.
SheCodes Responsive was a very tough workshop. But with Matt's hands-on videos and explanations, he made it very easy to understand. At the end of this workshop, I realized I have learned so much! I enjoyed working on my portfolio and will definitely be using these techniques throughout my coding journey.

Great workshop! Learned a lot, also because I sometimes tried stuff before the explanation and only went further when it (finally) worked or I had ran out of ideas of how to make it work. As always, great videos that are easy to follow. Also good to see there are optional parts if you want the extra challenge.
I hade a long break over summer and came back this week and finished the final project, and I immediately got reminded how good the videos are and how fun it is to write code and get to see directly what you are creating.

This workshop really ties everything that we've learned so far together. It isn't too difficult to follow along with the videos to code alongside the instructor, and it's nice to be able to listen as he talks through how he is troubleshooting when something doesn't work as predicted.
This workshop was amazing. Matt's videos give us enough to understand what to do, but also allow us to push ourselves in the challenges. I love having the freedom to build my own projects at the end of each week because it gives me a sense of accomplishment. I already feel like I know so much, but I can't wait to keep going!
SheCodes has been such an amazing journey. I definitely would recommend anyone wanting to learn to code. The videos and interaction make it a breeze to go through and mostly you have access to people who are on the journey with you to assist you. I love that you are still able to do this while working and at your own pace and from home. Matt is amazing and explains everything in such good detail.

I enjoyed everything about SheCodes Basic and am thinking of continuing onto the next level! The instructor is very clear, the videos are bite-sized and easy to digest. There is a challenge after every video, to put in practice everything that we learn, followed by a solution to compare code and learn new things. The slack community offer a first port of call for queries and doubts. I highly recommend this short course to learn the ropes about HTML, JS and CSS.

SheCodes plus was a really fun experience for me and I learned a lot. I am very much excited to now know about all the interesting stuff such as API and GitHub which once seemed too complicated and scary to me! In fact I was so excited that I almost finished my weather app with all features by the sixth week and just followed the videos to make sure I know everything Matt wanted to teach us :)
Really helpful addition to the basics programme - I'm also doing Plus now, as think I can't stop now that I'm starting to learn more. Great teaching, clear explanation and step by step classes - so much better than trying to learn this myself from other online content or videos.
Highly recommend, audio volume could be better throughout videos. Challenging and great projects.

Quick learning course. I finished the bootcamp in 5 days, and I want to learn more and build on this skill. The videos are quick and taught me a lot. I liked the step-by-step learning, and I could do it on my own pace.
The SheCodes basics workshop was excellent! I had been debating a career change and was hesitant about diving in and spending a lot of time and money on something I wouldn't enjoy. The combination of short videos and homework assignments made coding easy to digest. Matt was comprehensive and to the point and with the help of the SheCodes slack team, I was able to complete all my assignments. I am finishing this course with the confidence to know I CAN code, and I will be enrolling in the SheCodes Max program next.
SheCodes Basic wasn't always easy, but the easy access to support, the well-made videos, the challenges/homework, and flexible yet straightforward structure with deadlines made it doable. I struggle with self-learning, but this structure was a good educational setup with autonomy. It was fun also. I highly recommend SheCodes!!

I'm learning more than I ever thought possible. In college, I switched my major because I just couldn't understand the language. Matt makes it all so much more simple and he thoroughly explains everything. The videos are wonderful resources, especially if you're a visual learner like myself!
What a challenging but fun 8 weeks of coding! I definitely had days that were easier than others but with Matt's clear instructions and videos, I made it to the finish line and excited to jump into the next workshop! When I first started I had no clue what HTLM,CSS and Javascript is and Matt took me step by step. I felt like a baby learning to walk but has a very good teacher. I kept going back to videos when I needed to refer and asking help from Slack and it made it an easy journey for me. I highly recommend SheCodes. May they keep up the good work.

Over the past decade or so, I have served as the head of various departments of technical engineers and developers. During this time, my daily routine has transitioned from hands-on engineering towards managing, strategising, and coordinating projects. Though I've made a few attempts at coding, the knowledge I've acquired has largely been left to gather dust in the back of my mind. Nonetheless, I've always harboured a desire to play a more hands-on role. With this in mind I decided to to reignite my passion and embarked on my SheCodes journey, starting with the Basics course. It's been nothing short of a revelation. This course has helped me reconnect with my natural coding ability, offering an enjoyable and exciting way back into the world of coding. The material was engaging and the videos are knowledgeable and approachable. The fact that I could study at my own pace, fitting the course around my schedule, was an added bonus. It was a joy to return to the nuts and bolts of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript after such a long hiatus. What I particularly appreciated was the process of re-engaging with problem-solving, the kind of critical thinking required to build something from the ground up. The course reminded me of how much I enjoy the creativity involved in coding, the challenge of making something functional and aesthetically pleasing. It's been a pleasure to have that part of my brain engaged again, and to feel my passion for coding rekindled. Looking ahead, I am particularly excited about starting the SheCodes Max course. I feel it is the perfect next step to dive deeper into coding and explore its many facets that blend creativity and engineering. So, to anyone considering a coding course, I would say go for it. Whether you are a seasoned developer or a beginner, SheCodes provides a fantastic environment for learning, growing and reigniting your passion for coding. It certainly did for me.

I found the SheCodes Plus workshops challenging but fun. I learnt a lot, and really expanded the skills gained in the Basics programme. The early weeks go over what was previously learnt and I found that a useful way of consolidating my learning, and building my skills. I was really pleased with the project I was able to create in such a short space of time. For absolute beginners, like myself, this is a perfect combination of hand-holding (via the informative videos) and encouraging you to find solutions. A really interesting and informative course.
