I always wanted to understand coding better but never knew how to start and I have always looked at it as "a monster". A friend of mine signed up to SheCodes and called me up to the same. I must confess I do not regret it at all. The course gave me a great first glimpse into the world of coding and the way it is organized (the challenge of online classes was highly succeeded) and it is very instructive, providing you lots of fun! I wanted to start coding for a while but couldn't find the right starting point. There is a lot of online material available, but it's so easy for a beginnerΒ to get lost in it! When I took my multimedia master's degree I chose to take classes of "coding" HTML, CSS and PHP with SQL. The teacher was good but the truth is that I was very worried about getting the master's degree and I just memorized things. I left university wanting to escape everything that was frontend or backend... Until SheCodes came to me on Instagram post. And... SheCodes was an amazing experience...I was a bit terrified that I couldn't keep up, but Matt and all the team are really extraordinary! The course pacing is just perfect for you to understand everything, and all the challenges, homeworks and project are a fantastic way of practicing all you've learned. This a very valuable experience, gave me more tools to evolve profesisonally...and what can seem at the beginning like a seven-headed monster can be actually really fun to learn!

The SheCodes workshop for beginners was certainly the right choice as a first step into web developers' world! Matt is a great teacher and it makes coding look fun and challenging at the same time! Due to COVID-19 the course had to be online with live streaming, but Matt and his team managed to be as close to the students as if we were all in the same room! Great organization π!

With SheCodePlus, I was able to expand my basic coding knowledge and gain some insight to the current technologies used in web development. This was a great starting point in my pursuit of coding knowledge. The tech support team is responsive and supportive. The course is very fast-paced, and great for those with some knowledge, beyond the initial SheCodes program. A lot of material is presented in a short period of time. In hindsight, I have realized that a slower paced course would have personally been a better fit for the amount of material. But I am overall satisfied with the course. I will continue my pursuit of coding knowledge to further my understanding.

As a Product Owner I struggled to fully understand the developers on my team. SheCodes teached me that coding is not a crazy monsters and if you are curious enough a weekend is what it takes to ignite the coder in you.
I come from a financial area and kind of tech friendly, but before the course I could never imagine that my knowledge doing macros in MS Excel (which looks a bit old fashioned in times of artificial intelligence) could be highly connected with JavaScript. The weekend was full of new concepts and the SheCodes methodology allowed Matt and the team challenge us at the same time we had lots of fun.
The 12-hour workshop is very well structured, in a way that not only you can understand the logic but also practice the basics, try new things and learn by doing it. It is a great environment, very dedicated team and definitely worthy experience! I am really eager to keep learning and certain that this was a great place to start π
I decided to join the SheCodes Workshop because knowing something of coding would help accelerate some processes in my current job and aid the communication with the IT team! I left the workshop convinced that this was the best thing I could have done for my company and myself! The way the workshop is designed is really motivating. I was already interested in coding and was trying to learn online. Until one day I saw SheCodes in Porto ad and I immediatelly signed up. She Codes model, in my opinion, works very well and itβs a very well-built course that focus mainly on practice classes, where you have challenges and homework every week that forces you to actually code and put into practice what youβve learned. I really enjoy the fact that classes are online and recorded, so we could see the videos many times if we had doubts. Also, I think the price is very competitive considering all other market offers and you really learn useful things and not a ton of unnecessary theory. Really enjoyed my time here and learned a lot! SheCodes changed my life in a way I could not have imagined. Not only did I discover a new skill I love, it led me to quit my actual job as a hospitality agent (I used to work in a hotel as a front desk agent)!! A very intensive weekend, very fast paced and very productive. Matt has an incredible ability to simplify the coding world by introducing us smoothly to it. Starting from understanding the frontend/backend differences, listing the several existing coding languages, to developing HTML, CSS and Javascript. I arrived to the workshop, from a working week, with lots of doubts on wether I would be able to understand anything. Guess what?! The fact that we rely so many aspects of our daily-life into a technology we know little about was the main reason that made me join SheCodes; that sole curiosity of understanding the basic principles of coding and the will to challenge myself into trying something so out of my comfort zone (and also, in a way, the fact that developers can have a lifestyle which is pure #goals). SheCodes opened a new world to me ! It was intense but also a lot of fun. I found the explanations very clear (with a touch of humor!), there was a good balance between theory and exercises, the team very nice and always happy to help. In a few words : Great, inspiring and challenging experience ! Highly recommended !
She Codes workshop was a great way to get in touch with the programming universe. It was hours of immersion and fun, in which I could see the results. There is still a lot to learn and exercise, of course, but I'm already happy with what I could absorb in those 12 hours. Thanks to the team and hope to see you soon!
In 2 days I learned so much, it's unbelievable. I take the course because I was very curious about programming and I wanted to understand a bit better about it and how I can use it to improve my daily work. I was not disappointed. At the end of the course, even not having any kind of previous knowledge, I'm now able to work with HTML, CSS and Javascript. It's amazing! Thank you She Codes and thank you Matt and all the team.
I've been wanting for a while now to learn how to code and eventually become a web developer. For me, this was without a doubt a great way to start this journey, and to emphasize ("" just kidding!) that this is indeed a path to follow. The course was intense, but I felt that everyone (from Matt, to the assisting team, as well as all of the attendees!) shown availability to help and team spirit. Great initiative, "She Codes"!
For a while now I wanted to see what "coding was all about", learn about the possibilities of tools like these, especially if one deals with Developers daily. Such an amazing experience, thanks to Matt and the entire SheCodes Team. To sum up: "anyone can code".... If you practice. I intend to keep on practicing some more. PS - Already managed to understand a 'coding joke' at work ;)
Thanks for the wonderful workshop! Even though coding is quite difficult in the beginning, Matt and his team managed to turn it into an engaging topic and simplified their explanations enough to get me hooked! It's been a great experience and I learned a lot.
