I found the team at SheCodes so supportive and understanding. I started in May with no experience and have just secured a place on a Masters course starting this September! It can be challenging at times but so worth it! The videos and instructions are easy to follow but Slack is always there when i'm struggling. 10/10, would recommend to anyone looking to start
Amazing coding workshop! I am a Designer and a Luxury Marketer and I had always wanted to develop my coding skills to the next level, but I always postponed it because I thought it was very complicated and hard to understand until I got to learn from Matt! He explains in a very smooth and easy way for you to completely understand and his team is always there for your questions. This workshop is exactly what I was looking for, it gives you the ability to apply and create while you are learning and that is what helps you to make the most out of this course. I am now excited to continue with the next workshops to become a front- end developer.

It was such an amazing experience! The videos are very easy to follow, and lessons are well structured so I could easily connect everything I have learned. I was a total beginner and I had no clue about coding, so the SheCodes Workshop was perfect for me since it doesn't require previous knowledge, I learned a lot and now at least I know the basics when it comes to elaborate or modify a webpage. βLOVED IT! I have been wanting to try coding to see if I liked it for a while but I was reluctant as I had no previous experience whatsoever with coding and I had no idea if it would be something I could actually do, or enjoy. I watched the SheCodes Video and decided that I would give it a try. Surprisingly, I enjoyed this 3 months more than I was expecting as the videos are easy to follow, Matt gives you great advice and if we get stuck, we can always count on the team to help us out on Slack. It was challenging at times, but also very rewarding when you get to see the result of something you have built. The project at the end was a lot of fun because we got to use an weather API. This course was a bit challenging, but I grew a lot from it! The team at SheCodes are also nice, responsive, and helpful. For me, SheCodes was the beginning of something wonderful. Iβve never learned so much new stuff in such a short time, and I also never had so much fun learning how to create, break and fix things. React language seems to be similar to what we have learned on SheCodes Plus but in fact, there are so much more details we have to get more attentive and since the structure of the language is with separate elements, building the connection among them becomes quite challenging but meanwhile with much fun, if you are being led by a good team, just like SheCodes π€ Thanks for all of your assistance and patience (especially JoΓ£o ππ»ββοΈ). Highly recommend and this is a really enjoyable journey to open the door of coding world!
Great platform to begin learning coding, interesting lessons with fun challenges will surely make your coding journey amazing. SheCodes workshop is designed perfectly for absolute beginners like me! Classes are well structured with video tutorials that are easy to follow and homeworks that are pretty interesting to do, and not to forget the amazing support team-Slack that reaches out to remind you they are there to help 24/7. An absolutely outstanding workshop. In the beginning, I was unsure whether I should do the workshop since I am an absolute beginner. But Matt and his team made the workshop so understandable and interesting so that learning to code was a lot of fun. In three weeks, I was doing more in coding than my boyfriend, who is halfway through his computer science degree! I only did the three-week course for familiarization with terms so that I can be a better member on my team at work when collaborating with the developers. Still, I honestly enjoyed it so much I'm considering upgrading to one of the longer courses!

I really loved learning and working with SheCodes from the first day! After completing the SheCodes Workshop I continued learning with SheCodes Plus and I have had sooo much fun! Before starting SheCodes I had never done anything related to coding and was afraid I wouldn't be able to keep up. SheCodes provides the perfect structure to learn coding and gives you the confidence to try out what you've learned. I really enjoyed working on the project and tapping my creativity. Seeing everything come together at the end is really gratifying! I am a complete beginner and had no idea where to start. I googled coding workshops, and SheCodes popped up! I am extremely grateful for this opportunity to jump start my career in the tech industry! This workshop is a fun way to learn how to code or refresh your knowledge. I definitely recommend it to beginning programmers or programmers who want to refresh or rehearse their knowledge. SheCodes plus is a very good basis for entering the "programming world". For me these were a very fun 7 weeks. You work out the project on your own pace and as detailed as you want (of course everything working). What brings fun challenges. There were times when I was tearing my hair out but in the end it was all worth it! I feel so accomplished and so proud to have built my very own functioning weather app! What an amazing journey! Like many of us, I started with the SheCodes workshop because, as a designer, I wanted to have some basic coding knowledge. I liked it so much that I wanted to learn more and went to SheCodes Plus where I felt I've learned so much and finished with a good understanding of coding language. So I decided to take the other step - React! - that I truly hope and believe that it will open a new door to a new career. I will not say that it was an easy path, but Matt is an amazing teacher and explains everything in a good and clear way. And he is supported with an amazing team that will not let you stay behind. I have to give a special thanks to JoΓ£o, for his patient and dedication to the project, he was always ready to help and clarify all my (many) doubts!
I have always been interested in learning coding, but was never able to find something that seemed right for me. I decided to take a chance with SheCodes and I do not regret it. Matt and the SheCodes team provided a great, easy to follow step-by-step lesson plan and were always available and helpful when it came to questions. It's a bonus that they're helping to develop and support the female coding community. As a beginner, I would definitely recommend signing up for SheCodes.
As someone who isn't the academic type and never really did well in school, I would really highly recommend this course. Matt explains everything very clearly and gives very informative and easy to understand tutorials. The course runs at a very comfortable pace with frequent challenges that test your knowledge and can be done in your spare time. At times I was tasked with finding things out for myself instead of having all the answers handed to me from the offset; I'd imagine this is what it's like actually coding outside of a "classroom" environment and it can be incredibly rewarding! However, It's also very helpful having the Slack group at hand in case there's a problem that Google can't solve. The support team are fantastic! If you're looking to get into coding this is the way to go. I'm surprised at how much I've accomplished in less than 3 weeks and can't wait to progress on to SheCodes Plus and beyond!

Graduated from 3-week workshop ahead of time, since it was straightforward and easy to learn foundations of HTML, CSS and JS. Kudos to the team on the other side, they responded and helped VERY quickly, and I can't wait to continue on the next stage.
Having played with HTML coding when I was younger, I was surprised at how much I could remember. Being able to build on my knowledge further in order to learn new HTML skills, allowed me to become more proficient. Learning CSS and JavaScript from scratch was daunting, but I am incredibly proud of my achievement in just three weeks. I heard about coding for a while now, but it always seemed intimidating. Thanks to SheCodes I managed to surpass my expectations, and create this project. This worksop has given me valuable skills in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript ES6 (with the help of CodePen and Visual Studio Code) that I strongly believe anyone should have in this day and age. You will never feel lost or stuck, as the SheCodes team and the other students are there for you at any point. The classes are well structured, and you can take them in your own time. I've always wanted to learn and understand coding languages but I thought it was out of my reach. This class is great for anyone who wants to understand the basic principles of HTML, CSS and Javascript. The team is there to support you and answer your questions along the way! All 3 SheCodes' courses gave me the knowledge and tools to go ahead and finally learn how to code using everyday mark-up languages plus React which is currently an industry favorite! I am continuing my journey using the documentation that I can look at for as long as I need and continuing to code on my own. I feel confident that I can start applying for junior web developer positions with the idea that I can learn on the job with the tools I was taught by Matt and team!

Coding was something I never thought I would really enjoy. But when I took a python class in high school and started getting interested in coding. I decided to try the SheCodes course because I really wanted to learn how websites are made and I am really glad I did. This course gave me the necessary skills to be able to create my own blog in the future which I definitely will. I have throughly enjoyed the 3 week introductory course! :) I came into SheCodes not knowing a single thing about coding and in a short amount of time I have learnt so much. I am now looking forward to continuing on with SheCodes React! I am really pleased with the structure and learning style of SheCodes, Matt is a great teacher and provides clear videos that make learning enjoyable. We always have the opportunity to put what we have learnt into practice by completing mini exercises and homework submissions. The communication is really clear throughout the course, if you ever get stuck we can raise questions on a shared Slack group where students can help each other out but there is a also a hands on team ready to help too!

SheCodes was an awesome experience. After the SheCode weekend I got the code bug and wanted to learn more about it and more techniques. SheCodes Plus was the way to go, the classes are easy to follow, and you can watch them and work on your project in your own pace, which is great. Matt has the ability of explaining something complicated in the easiest way and has an incredible team working with him to ensure that every student feels welcomed and get help if necessary. It was a great experience, really fit people with no coding background at all.

The workshop was absolutely amazing! Matt and his team did an amazing job - this workshop was very beginner-friendly, and I'm proud of the progress I have made in the past few weeks.
I have always been curious and eager to learn. While, as a scientist I have been introduced to coding trough that spectrum (targeting essentially statistics), I was missing the development and creative side. SheCodes is, for me, the best way to start and learn coding. The platform, in addition to the great support by the team and other students, makes you feel highly motivated as well as making the learning process much faster. I'm so happy I came across SheCodes and I am so excited to start the next phase with SheCodes plus! π€
Wow - words can hardly describe how awesome this experience was for me. I was nervous about beginning to learn code - I worried it would go right over my head considering I had zero prior knowledge. However, I was able to quickly learn each lesson and shock myself with what I could do & create! I am so proud of myself and can't wait to learn more! If anyone is contemplating trying this workshop - do it. Just do it. You're going to succeed and be so impressed with yourself. The 3 week SheCodes workshop was such a great experience! I was nervous but excited to enter the world of coding, but Matt and the team made learning each new exercise easy to follow and less overwhelming with such great support. I've already recommended the workshop to several friends.
I have completed different online courses and have to say that SheCodes is one of the best in terms of providing us with a great community and supporting everybody on their journey. Even though the course is quite demanding, it is still possible to finish it while working full-time. Especially since one can decide when they can study. I highly recommend Matt and his team. I really enjoyed the workshop! The lessons were informative, easy to understand and compact which made it convenient to fit them around work. I would definitely recommend this for beginners. Investing in myself by taking my first-ever coding class with the SheCodes Online Workshop is one of the best investments I have ever made this year during the COVID-19 pandemic. With SheCodes, I found myself highly motivated and curious to learn more from start to finish and beyond! I have never imagined that one day I would be able to create my own project from scratch using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in less than 3 weeks. Now I can't wait to continue exploring more deeply into the world of programming in the advanced workshops. I can highly recommend this workshop. Within 40 days I coded a website and now finally a weather app. For me SheCodes.io is not only a career change but a life change. Originally coming from traditional crafts, I am now going to work in digital crafts. Dreams I have not dared to dream came true and now I can work in my secret passion that I had since elementary school. Thank you very much to the team of SheCodes.io!
This workshop is a very good introduction to the basics of coding: Matt teaches not only syntax but also the logic behind it. I would definitely recommand it to all women who are too impressed by traditional coding bootcamps. It's also a good alternative to usual tutorials by combining theory and practical exercices: ideal to learn at your own rythm and follow your own coding pathway. Very smart concept! The course was beyond my expectations. Matt and the SheCodes team created a great learning experience. This course is super helpful to have a nice start in coding without getting too intimidated and providing a good amount of practice. Definitely looking forward to the next modules.
The coding journey with SheCodes is amazing. The different workshops are very well constructed and covers from the basic of HTML and CSS to the advanced React framework. The instructor Matt is GREAT and explains all the concepts very clear. I loved the SheCodes Project. Please, Matt and SheCodes Team, keep up with the good work and with more workshops π
This was a great class for beginners like myself! The videos were easy to follow and the challenges, homeworks, and project really allowed me to be hands on and implement what I learned. It was great to have the ability to go back and reference the videos if I got stuck. I did find that the course took more than 15 hours as stated in the course description (at least for myself - a beginner who was taking lots of notes along the way, viewing videos more than once if I got stuck, etc.). This workshop taught me the very basic fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and has set me off to further explore the world of coding and learn more skills! Also, I can't say enough good things about the SheCodes team and the Slack channel that comes along with this workshop - the team was always super quick to respond to any questions I had about the course and the Slack channel provided great support!Β
My SheCodes experiences was amazing! The workshop was super easy and user friendly. Coding can be intimidating, but Matt explains each lesson clearly and the challenges are easy to do. If you're stuck with a challenge, someone from the SheCodes team is always willing to help. Before SheCodes my experience with coding was only through Myspace and Tumblr. This workshop is a great foundation if you're curious about coding and would like to learn coding. Thank you Matt for creating this workshop for women. Now I'm confident that I have a chance in the tech world among the men. I can't wait to use what I've learned in the workshop and apply it my next job.
