I always thought of coding as part of an elite, something that was so far outside my grasp. However, it has always been something that has really triggered an interest within me. But my main problem was not knowing how or where to begin, and that's when I came across SheCodes, a course that provides with all the tools and help you need to get started. Without a doubt, I signed up for my first 3 week workshop, and I was not disappointed! I have now changed career course and would love to explore the coding world even more! With the help and support from SheCodes, nothing is outside my grasp. I want to thank the SheCodes team for the support network they have set up for all of their students, and how they have enabled and opened up a world I didn't think "was meant for me".
I found the React project super challenging but very rewarding too. All in all, this was a brilliant course so thank you so much to Matt and the team, especially JoΓ£o who has amazing patience!
When I accidentally stumbled upon an advertisement for SheCodes Course, I did not expect what an adventure awaits me in the future. I never thought about coding. I thought it was boring and not my kind of thing. Well.. I loved it! It's amazing to build something by yourself, it's amazing to understand what's behind all those letters and numbers. The workshop is well explained, step by step, the homeworks are very useful to practice. The SheCodes community ready to help is just amazing. And I loved the SheCodes radio! My SheCodes adventure has been a fun & delightful one. Like all good things, It has now come to an end, but i will hopefully keep in touch with the team & fellow students through Slack. I thoroughly enjoyed discovering & gaining some basic skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript & React. It will help me continue to learn on my own, but i'm not ready to apply for a development job yet. I'd recommend 'SheCodes' to individuals who are busy with a day job yet are still keen to pick up coding skills to stay relevant in this increasingly digital-focused world. Each module in this course comes in bite-sized videos and challenges, allowing beginners to cope with the learning process with ease, i.e. they are not too overwhelming and can be completed by mini-milestones. The weekly assignments' deadlines motivate students not to lose their momentum in this course and rest assured, students are not alone in this journey. The 'SheCodes' team will review the homework submitted, and students can reach out to other coders via Slack for help.
I honestly never thought I would be able to learn JS, let alone finish a web app by myself! Especially after taking so many online tutorials/courses and ending up frustrated. After finishing the Intro to Coding I Workshop I just had to keep going and the Front End Development was the obvious next step. Matt is a fantastic teacher, explaining every step of the way as he goes along, and feel I have a pretty solid foundation on JS and Front End now to start my own projects now. Hello World;) I would like to recommend SheCodes workshops to everyone who is interested in coding! Basic SheCodes course is a great solution for all women who would like to see a kind of a demo version of HTML,CSS and Javascript :) After 3 weeks of learning with Matt, I managed to memorize and I'm able to use basic functions of mentioned languages. It was a lot of fun, too! Matt has a natural teaching talent, lessons are well structured,a student doesn't become overwhelmed at any point of time. Thanks a lot SheCodes team. Hi! I had no coding experience prior to SheCodes and I got surprised how much I could learn about it! I always thought coding is super difficult, but thanks to Matt's didactics I was able to build my first website! I also got a lot of support from Matt's team, which gave me more security and motivation! I highly recommend it!

SheCodes is very informative and through this we assess ouself with each chapter where we stand by solving the given challenges. The material given is very easy to understand, and if stucked in between, the Slack channel is always there to help.SheCodes Team is also responsive, whenever you need them you just drop mail and they will revert you within few hours. I think SheCodes is a great platform for females. I am very happy with SheCodes and I would like to suggest that SheCodes should include more coding workshops for languages like JAVA, PYTHON, etc.

I joined the free class and I loved it! It seemed to be built in a more accessible way than other programs. I found that I was able to truly gain a solid coding foundation with SheCodes! Mattβs instruction had documentation, videos and we had all the support needed by using Slack where we could get all of our questions answered. If I had to go back in time and the opportunity to choose from a course to learn to code I would not hesitate in choosing SheCodes again. Both Matt and the team deserve recognition for their great work in creating this course!
I cannot recommend SheCodes enough! I had been on the fence for over a year about whether or not I wanted to give coding a try, but with every other program I either could not work it into my budget, or it simply didn't feel like the right fit. Then SheCodes falls into my lap! Matt is a wonderful teacher, and I had so much fun with this particular format of learning and community, and it finally gave me back some confidence as I committed to challenging myself and learning this new skill set. I consider myself primarily right-brained, with no major natural inclination towards the technical and analytical, and this felt really stimulating and satisfying for me. If you are a creative, do not let coding scare you off! There's room for absolutely anyone who's curious enough to try it. I can't wait to jump into either SheCodes Plus or SheCodes Plus React asap! I had always been interested in coding but was worried it was too complicated and would be impossible to learn. After taking the SheCodes Introduction to Coding workshop, I decided to take SheCodes Plus to expand on the basics I'd already learned. This course was a lot more challenging (as expected), but also very rewarding. I was able to build a fully-functioning weather application that I was very happy with and even started delving into more advanced concepts to get the forecasting functionality to work. I am now considering taking the SheCodes Plus React course, and will definitely be continuing my coding journey. If you're in doubt as to whether or not this is for you, I'd say just give it a try - you might surprise yourself! Matt is a great teacher and presents everything clearly and in a logical way. I am so grateful to the SheCodes team for being so supportive! It has been such a great journey. I am happy that I did not have to settle for something simple for my final project. I am so excited to see the final version as it looks exactly how I wanted. It only became possible thanks to the team's support and help when I got stuck or did not know how to realize some of my ideas. Highly recommend!
SheCodes was the perfect way to developing an old love of mine since high school, programming! π©π»βπ» In this workshop, we learn the basic concepts which allow us to be more able to continue learning ourselves. Another amazing thing, was the team of SheCodes, the video classes given by Matt are easy to understand and follow, and JoΓ£o and Daniela are always ready to rescue your code mistakes whenever you need them! I'd highly recommend SheCodes to my family and friends without a doubt. I'm glad I'm part of this family.π₯°
I have had so much fun learning HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It was worth it, even there were many times where I was frustrated and confused, there was always a way to solve the problem. I've always been curious about it and this workshop gave me the opportunity and the motivation to explore it. I am looking forward to developing these skills. With this workshop you learn how to code in HTML, CSS & JavaScript and you also learn to think as a programmer. I fully enjoyed this workshop. It was challenging andΒ exciting to work on weather app project and Iβm more than ever motivated to keep going with programming. Matt is a fantastic teacher and I will say huge thank to all SheCodes team and especially many thanks to JoΓ£o Lopes - who are always on Slack and help when itβs needed.
