After completing the SheCodes Plus Workshop, I feel confident in creating interactive web applications. Integrating a weather API taught me how to handle real-time data, and I now understand how to make API calls, parse JSON responses, and display the data dynamically. The app I built is responsive and visually appealing and provides accurate, real-time weather information for any city, along with a forecast for the upcoming days. The React Add-on workshop was a great journey to deepening my knowledge of React and becoming used to its techniques and cores. Working on the Dictionary project was interesting and fun, even when sometimes it was frustrating to deal with some of the errors that occurred along the way. But once you fix them and everything works smoothly it gives you so much faith in yourself. A big gratitude to Matt Delac for being such a great instructor and for the SheCodes team's support during that journey.
Python Advanced Workshop was really intense and very engaging. I learnt about Object Oriented Programming to help design codes in a much more organized and scalable way. I also learnt more on how to manipulate files - read, write and extract data to make it presentable and easy for people to understand. I am also able to display data extracted using Python plots for better visualization. The most challenging yet rewarding for me in this workshop was learning advanced techniques on csv file manipulation and complex data structures in Python. I learnt how to play around with dictionaries, filtering and aggregating data. At the end of the workshop, I was able to build a project using real life csv file to create data visualization using Python. Thank you to Matt and the SheCodes team for this very engaging and knowledge-packed workshop.

π Why I started: I love learning, especially when I can flexibly integrate course content into my everyday life. Programming - especially frontend and web design - has always fascinated me and I wanted to finally delve deeper into the subject. π π‘ What I learned: From HTML Input Types to Select Elements to moment.js and moment timezone - this course not only showed me new tools, but also helped me to significantly deepen my JavaScript knowledge. πͺ The biggest challenge? JavaScript is super fun ... as long as the code works. π But when it doesn't, it can be really challenging. I've learned to stay patient and systematically look for solutions - and that sense of achievement when everything works is priceless. π β¨ My highlight: My favorite part of every project is when the basic structure is in place and everything works - then I can really let off steam in CSS styling. Still a media designer through and through. π¨π»

I really love the way complex subjects have been broken down into relatable modules, making them easier to learn. As someone with ADHD it can be difficult to find a style of teaching that fits, but Matt and his team seem to have got it just right. Although it's hard work, I've had so much fun working on the challenges and using new skills to complete the final project.

The SheCodes Plus challenge and course have been an incredible experience! Learning about open-source code on GitHub, hosting a website, and integrating the SheCodes Weather API and Weather Forecast API in JavaScript was both challenging and rewarding.
