After almost 2 months of intensive work, I finally finished all the modules of SheCodes. I have learned so many new skills and I can say that I am proud of myself. React was something new and initially frightening for me, but I have done itβalmost 2 weeks of really intensive work. I created two projects on the program and one for me. In truth, I initially enrolled in the course (SheCodes Basics) with a lot of skepticism about the capacity for an asynchronous, online course platform to be able to teach me something functional, as well as any sort of prospective for me to be able to take this new skill and make something out of it (and even potentially branching out into a new/evolved career). While I know I still have loads to learn, knowing that coding is a growing language that even experts who have been doing so for years still study and work on to improve their skills/language, I have become hopeful that this is, indeed, a field that I can actually get into, and continue to learn, expand, and explore rather than feel "stuck" in. Matt is a phenomenal teacher. I loved the way the learning platform was designed and each activity was scaffolded and chunked into smaller bits and gradually building up to a bigger project. I also loved how the final project allowed us to create what we were passionate about. (I definitely spent way too much time - WAY more than necessary ;) - to make every detail and design the way I wanted: with both information and knowledge gained from Matt's lessons, as well as searching on google on my own for things I actually wanted more of). After doing my final project and recognizing all the more that I could learn, I have decided to continue to learn, and maybe delve into some of the other advanced workshops offered through the program. Thanks so much, Matt, and everyone else on the team!

This workshop was definitely challenging yet so much fun to learn what I did in over 8 weeks. I am very thankful to SheCodes team and Matt. This workshop has polished my coding experience compared to when I started SheCodes Basics. It has prompted me to be willing to learn more about JS and its "magic". I can say I am more confident since I am currently studying Information Systems at my university. This workshop has provided me such a valuable experience.
I`m so surprised writing code can be so easy to understand and exiting to try. I have actually managed to create my own Weather App, fully functional and everything! Learning API calling and integration was the most fun of all. Matt's videos are so impressively thought through in that he helps you build code one piece at a time and make connections between functions in the same way the mind tries to see patterns. I love learning new things and got a little scared when I decided it was time (and important) to learn how to code. If you have problems with homework (students have them always π ) you can always to get help from tech.assistants in Slack. Thanks to all SheCodes team! I am a person who has 0 experience in coding. I took a class in SQL/Python and spent months confused and embarrassed. I saw an ad for SheCodes on Instagram and was very intimidated, but determined to gain more skills. The resources are easily accessible and short enough to re-watch as many times as I needed to. I learned new things in every video, and even in the first free meeting. The community on Slack is attentive, responsive, and encouraging. I feel like the team here really wants everyone to grow. Each time I asked for help, I felt like the suggestions were kind and genuine. I never felt belittled. I seriously appreciate SheCodes and will take the rest of the courses. I am already recommending this to the women around me. Best money I have spent in a very long time.

I've been self-teaching front end development for the past 2 years, and realised the need for a really good program that would take me from "knowing nothing" to actually understanding what I was learning and build my skills. After searching for a good, structured, international and flexible coding program that made learning engaging and fun with a good support system for almost just as long, I happened to come across SheCodes. I love that it's for women, and the Customer Success team was very helpful in answering all my questions before I decided to signup. Matt is great with giving bite-sized lessons without the information being overwhelming, and the Technical Team has been really helpful whenever I get stuck with the challenges. I'm looking forward to completing the other workshops!
