Thanks to the SheCodes Team for a great opportunity to learn one of the best programming languages-JavaScript . It's not easy, of course, if you want to learn something for real. And if you think you already know everything, the more you know that you still have a lot to learn.

I started with SheCodes Basics about 7 months ago, I wasn't too sure how my journey was going to be, coming from the fashion and sales industry. All I can say, am I glad that I embarked on this journey because I am now clear on the career path I want to take. I went from thinking that I couldn't grasp the concepts to being confident in my ability to build something from scratch. I have found myself enjoying the problem solving process and building my apps. I have no doubt that I will be back on here again sharing a career testimonial within 2024! Thanks Matt and team

I never knew i could come this far in coding. All thanks to Matt and the entire SheCodes team. Going through Shecodes Responsive training was a thrilling experience which has made me more grounded in coding.

I really enjoyed coding. I am proud of myself for taking the chance on myself to get it done. I have always been interested in it but was too scared to try. The SheCodes Plus workshop really helped me to develop my coding skills even further! The use of JavaScript is way more intense in this one, but it shows how powerful and dynamic this language can be. As usual, it is also important to point out that it's always appreciated that Matt takes you step by step along the lessons, otherwise, those who are very new to coding (like myself) may lose their footing. But, even if that happened, a member of the team would always help me in Slack :) I learnt a great deal and had fun working towards my final project! I am so looking forward to start with the next workshops now so I can learn how to use React!

This experience has been invaluable and I'm immensely grateful for the opportunity to learn with SheCodes. React has been the most challenging but I am really happy with the way everything is explained by Matt Delac and his team. It is a well-structured curriculum and it is made to accommodate anyone with no background in coding and busy schedules.

Such an amazing and inspiring course, I have already lined up with some of the SheCodes team to continue onto the Max program in the future!

SheCodes React has been the most challenging yet rewarding part of my coding journey, unlike anything I've experienced before. Matt Delac's exceptional teaching style, combined with a well-structured curriculum, made learning React a profound learning experience. The SheCodes team's unwavering support has been my guiding light throughout these workshops. While I still feel like I have much more to learn, this experience has been a beacon of hope in the face of the challenges that come with learning coding in an underdeveloped country. The lessons were very detailed and easy to follow, I enjoyed every part of it. I've learnt a lot and I'm looking forward to learning more. I have just finished the Shecode Responsive workshop, a course that taught me how to create responsive and user-friendly websites using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. I learned a lot of new skills and techniques that I can apply to my projects as a front-end developer. This workshop has helped me realize my capability, shecodes team made it easy for us , I had a minimal knowledge of coding until I joined the workshop.

Learning to build in React came with a steep learning curve, but I overcame once I got out of my own way and tried a different approach. One thing that I can always appreciate about the way Matt and the team at SheCodes teaches coding it that there is always multiple solutions to the same problem. It helps with learning to problem solve without getting frustrated.

I'm very happy to have finally created a working program. Learning about APIs excites me a lot as well. Thanks to Matt and SheCodes Team.

I had two major problems with this course. First, they don't teach you how to display the current weather and forecast in both Celsius and Fahrenheit (they only teach you how to do it for the current weather). Second, I had a full stack software engineer who also mentors software engineers review the code and he said it was really bad code. That we were taught really bad practices. Considering my only exposure to coding has been SheCodes and I followed along with Matt, I believe this reflects badly on the curriculum. I have done the entire SheCodes program, from the basics to the max workshops. They have a team that reviews the homework assignments and give you either a thumbs up or a thumbs down if it was done correctly. I have only ever received a thumbs up. I am really disappointed. The whole purpose of me joining SheCodes was to prepare myself for a career change. Now, I have to start over from scratch trying to learn clean coding practices.

I started Shecode with a zero knowledge of coding and here I am well equiped and have gain mastery of so many things I thought won't be possible for me to learn. everything I know today about front-end development I owe it to Delac Foundation; Matt and His team am grateful.

Really loving these workshops and getting more and more confident that I will actually be able to make a full career change and become a developer. The classes are very edudcational & fun and if I run into any issues, the team is there to help quickly. Excited to continue with Shecodes Max.

I absolutely loved this workshop! not only was it clear and educational but it was fun and challenging. This was an amazing experience that made my fear of thinking I'm not smart enough to learn how to code seem irrational. I enjoyed coding with SheCodes! That's just it. I had loads of fun, some tears too because there were times my code wouldn't work and I'd be frustrated but soon, I'd be laughing through my tears at the silly mistake. I started the SheCodes Plus with so much euphoria and enthusiasm. Unlike the Basic, Plus proved to be more challenging, which is as it should be of course. I was suddenly struggling to meet deadlines since I also had a lot going on for me during the period. At some point, I was discouraged honestly. But I have a great Instructor! Along with his patient explanations, he kept encouraging. I'm grateful. The best of it is the team! Thank you SheCodes team! Even if we have hundred questions a day, you are ever ready to give fast replies. Even when it's a little mistake we couldn't see in our frenzy, you are very patient with us and ready to show us where we missed it. Please, do not stop at Basic so you don't miss out on all the fun. I chose SheCodes, or she chose me and I don't regret a minute of it. You wouldn't either!

When i joined SheCodes basic, I had never taken a coding class before and was really worried if i would manage. However, Matt and the SheCodes team have made the experience really vivifying. The slack channel was always available whenever i needed help and I'm now looking forward to joining the next SheCodes program. I have been thrilled to discover coding by following this SheCodes basics workshops! Although it has sometimes been challenging, my self-confidence kept increasing course after course. Thanks a lot Matt and SheCodes team! Can'´t wait to continue!!

This intro course demystified the complexity of coding for me - Matt is good at breaking things down into easy to comprehend modules. I did try to over-complicate things and got stuck a couple of times (managed to find the errors myself), but did see that the SheCodes team was quick to assist other learners over on slack when they needed it. I enjoyed learning CSS part of coding the best as I am rather creative and loved playing around with the look of webpages etc.

Just finished my 3rd course with SheCodes and every time I am impressed. Its so much fun! I feel more and more like a professional with each course that I complete. Thank You to Matt and the SheCodes team!

Tough but nothing you cannot achieve with the help of team

It's been deep learning, getting the insides of React was i most say not easy but very rewarding after going through. Instructor Delac and the shecodes team, i don't know what i would have done without you. Each day as i go through the shecodes workshops, my confidence rise more and more in this tech journey i wish to take. Thank you shecodes team, thank you instructor Mathieu, you are an instructor i'll choose over and over!!

Loved it!! ALL of it - such an enjoyable course in discovering how much fun coding is. Big head-scratchers, but they made figuring these out by applying learnings soooo worth it. Thanks Team!

I am really glad I decided to join SheCodes. Matt and his team did a great job for creating a learning tool such as SheCodes🥳

I was very much looking forward to my SheCodes Max experience in hopes of transitioning into a new career as a front-end developer in the future. I had a positive experience in the basics course ( although I did wonder if they would actually give detailed support and feedback on your progress going forward) as this didn't appear to be present in spite of the website and course outlines claiming that feedback, support and homework reviews are a part of the courses. It seems they use the basics course to lure people into paying for the larger courses without then delivering on quality and support or content and then hit you with their discreet "NO REFUND" policy if you question their lack of delivery on their service promises. The course was shockingly poor with absolutely zero support available. The course encourages you to copy and paste code into your solutions, for homework and projects and the team do not care if you understand the material. I struggled through 9 weeks all the while asking for support and explanations and all I got in response was invalidating and patronising responses from the so-called customer success team. I put in 35 hours plus per week to try and understand the content, doing my own research online and buying books. I knew I could not successfully achieve my outcomes with this course platform to become a front-end developer without any support or tutors to help me. The videos were outdated from 2015 which also made learning the content even more confusing. They have x2 technicians who are supposed to answer questions on Slack of 100's of students, responses coming hours and days later with simple responses asking you to copy and paste code with no explanations to help you understand. I asked for a refund as I paid £1084 for SheCodes Max and had not learned anything in 9 weeks. I was hit with the company's hidden "NO REFUND POLICY" Be careful! I did manage to get them to return some of the money but still wasted almost £500 on 9 weeks of hard work, struggling alone to gain nothing at the end of it but back and forth invalidating communication from the team. I will not recommend this course or company to people who seriously want to learn coding.

SheCodes Responsive has been one of the most important workshops, as building a Portfolio to showcase your projects is critical for getting a job. Thank you Matt and the whole team for the support in building this project.

My journey with She Codes Basics was nothing short of amazing. As someone with no prior coding experience, I was apprehensive about delving into the world of web development. However, She Codes quickly put my fears to rest. The curriculum was structured in a way that made learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript not only accessible but also incredibly engaging. I'm excited to announce that I've completed the SheCodes basics online course. I gained useful experience while learning to code and surprised myself with my ability to retain knowledge in a subject field which I previously thought was difficult and complex. A big thanks to the SheCodes team for helping to achieving my coding goals.

After finishing SheCodes Basics and the SheCodes Basics Add-On project I knew I had to keep going. This project was super complex, but I enjoyed learning all the different components of integrating the API, adding all the functionalities, and even making it look aesthetically pleasing. Thank you to the entire SheCodes team for your continued support and I will see you again soon for my next SheCodes project.

This stage of working with react wasn't an easy journey but i sincerely want to thank and appreciate Matt and his SheCodes team for their patience and guidance. The 'micro-lesson' topics make it easy to digest complex information. And the SheCodes team support is swift to respond when help is needed. If you want to learn alongside other female students, the SheCodes pink and purple hub of friendly women is exactly what you're looking for.

I initially thought it was going to be daunting to learn how to code but it ended up being enjoyable. I won't lie it would get challenging but through doing my own research and the help of the Slack community, I would quickly overcome the challenge. The study material is spaced in such a way that you can take in a good amount of information in one video.The challenges were how I got to practice what I have learned and more. This workshop increased my level of thinking as it relates to coding and it pushed me to do my best. There were challenges but I overcame them. I couldn't have done it without Matt and his team. Matt is an awesome teacher and the team on slack is just as good as they answered all my questions in a timely manner whenever I was unsure about something. SheCodes Plus is definitely worth it and I would 100% recommend it. It was fun! I am looking forward to what the future brings 😀

I can't wait to continue my SheCodes journey. It has been the best introduction to coding. Matt and the team have coordinated the best masterclass plan, I am amazed at what I have been able to achieve in just under a month!

Another fantastic instalment of the SheCodes workshops! Having learned some JS library fundamentals, especially one as commonly sought-after as React, has truly given me a more well-rounded, practical understanding of just how powerful and efficient working with a framework can be. I'm having an eye opening though out of my comfort zone coding experience diving into the SheCodes Course! The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive throughout the step by step hands-on projects. A big thank you to the Delac Foundation for this opportunity, the SheCodes team 🙌 and fellow students💜 who help and support each other in the slacks community. The curriculum is well-structured, beginner friendly, making it easy to grasp even complex coding concepts. I look forward to participating in the next course.

The hardest part was actually finding the time to complete the course as I was working full-time. The course itself is informative and Matt really explains everything in detail and provides examples in the videos. I liked the fact that if you were stuck on a challenge you can ask a member of the SheCodes team on 'Slack' and they will help you out with any technical question you have.

I would highly recommend this to every women I know, the workshops and the team was very helpful and productive.
