After completing the SheCodes Basics it took some time for me to complete the SheCodes Plus course. At first I was skeptical with how much I'd learn because I'm just "following tutorials and doing exactly as I was told" but Matt is an excellent teacher! He explained everything in such a way that it's easy to follow. I noticed that I understood what I was doing after friends asked me for an explanation on my codes which surprised me a lot. Can't wait to see what the React course has in store for me :)

What a fantastic introduction to coding! After completing four SheCodes workshops, I feel empowered to make my own projects and continue my journey with web development. Where do I even begin?! My experience with SheCodes has been nothing short of amazing! Matt is such a good teacher. I have done a few online courses on web development basics previously, but none of them come close to this one. I think Matt must've done a teaching course or something, because he is just so good. The course is well structured, and it gives the perfect opportunities for students to test their understanding of the work as they learn. What I ABSOLUTELY love about it is that it is tailored to cater for busy women. However, although it has flexibility in terms of deadlines, having strong personal goals to achieve via the skills learnt in this course, and furthermore knowing that there are other students you started the course at the same time as you who are doing their best to finish the course, pushes you to put in the work and finish! When I was at university I enrolled into a Computer Science course to complete my studies. It was an horrible, extremely confusing, experience. We were left alone trying to cope with things that were never explained to us. I somewhat managed to pass, but whenever I would hear the word "coding" I would just label it as something I couldn't do. I decided to give coding a second chance when I saw SheCodes and I'm extremely glad I did! Sometimes, all you need is a good teacher and dedication π
