I learnt a lot from this course, initially I was afraid that I would not understand or be able to code and design. However Matt simplified everything breaking down each section of code and understanding how it works and how to read code, Matt is an excellent teacher and is great at sharing knowledge. I have wanted to learn to code for a long time and SheCodes Basics was the perfect place to start. It is beginner friendly and kept me engaged the whole time. For a long time i wasn't sure what i wanted to do and i tried so many things. I knew always that my love was towards computers and technology. I tried a couple of times to learn programming by myself, but sadly it was so overwhelming and chaotic. Also i didn't have anyone to share my questions or my troubles which made it very frustrating and underwhelming. After 2 years and my life being not very easy i was thinking about my future and what i really love. And the answer was always there: Coding. But i was afraid and i didn't know how to start, till i found out about SheCodes and this amazing community with a really friendly CEO and an incredible teacher, Matt, who helped me found my passion again and this time in a very solid way. My journey won't stop here with the Basic Course, rather the opposite. My journey has just started. βΊ
SheCodes Plus has been extremely interesting as well as challenging learning experience. We dove deep into JavaScript and built a functioning weather app from scratch. Matt is a great teacher and it is a pleasure learning with him.

It was quite difficult but dispute the challenges I really enjoyed learning about code and one day I hope to master it and Matt is quite the teacher.
The SheCodes React workshop challenges me a lot and I realized it's very easy to make mistakes and get frustrated. What worked for me is being able to go beack and debug. Overall, I gained a lot, Matt is a great teacher and thank you SheCodes for the opportunity.
When I started this course I thought it would be hard. Having no background in web development made me feel like this would be a very challenging task but what I soon learnt is that Matt is a great teacher. He explains everything visually and makes it easier to follow along. These 3 short weeks having given me the confidence to take on any challenge web development task.

SheCodes Basics has been an amazing learning experience and opportunity. It is quite hard to believe that after only a couple of weeks I have been able to code my first website from scratch! I believe the program is well structured and especially well explained: Matt is a great teacher, clear, concise and linear. Lastly, I particularly appreciated the Challenges at the end of each class: it is quite a game changer, as it helps a lot to keep yourself involved and on track.

This has by far been the most challenging yet extremely motivating project yet. I've always felt that coding is meant for the smart ones or at least those with strong computer background and that kept me far away from it. But upon joining Delac Foundation, Matt being the great teacher he is made me realize even I can code. I'm still on the basics but I can already see how much value this skill will aid in my career.

SheCodes Plus was more of a challenge for me but I figured it out and was able to create a weather app. The first time I started SheCodes Plus, it was very confusing and after redoing everything the second time it was fairly easy. I was able to learn API, GitHub, Bootstrap, and a little bit of hosting. Matt is a great teacher in explaining why we type a certain code and how it works! The instructors were always available to help with any questions I had. I'm excited to start the SheCodes Responsive!!

I think the Basics Workshop was a great very basic intro to what coding can do and the perfect way to test my interest level in the subject/material. I also really appreciated being able to do it on my own time (in between a full time job, a family, life, etc.) - I definitely couldn't have completed the course otherwise. All the teachers always got back to any questions super quickly and thoroughly. I would recommend this for anyone looking to dip their toes into coding. Even though I know I just learned the very surface level, it still was a lot and I'm now very interested in taking my coding education further. Thank you to all the teachers and fellow coders. It was an awesome experience!

SheCodes is an incredibly accessible way for women around the world to learn how to code. The lessons are easy to follow and move at a good pace. The projects are not only interesting, but also have real life value as examples of what you can do for potential employers. I appreciate that Matt always encourages us to have fun and to take breaks when we get frustrated - it's a healthy attitude that helps prevent me from getting overwhelmed. When I was a teacher, I learned that the most valuable thing we can teach our students is the ability to learn. Teaching people how to learn, problem solve, and figure things out on their own is incredibly empowering. SheCodes does that for you. While it's not always the most fun as a student (π ), being put in situations where you have to apply previous knowledge to figure out a new puzzle is a great exercise for learning. You'll often find yourself in positions like that during your lessons, but you become all the more stronger for it.

After the React workshop, the Adds-on is definitely a must. You become more aware of everything you still have to learn about react but it gives you a necessary extra boost of confidence. The more you practice the better, specially if there are people guiding you and supporting you. Matt is a great teacher with a great team. I highly recommend to follow the full SheCodes program with every Adds-on if you are taking becoming a front-end seriously. Not only does it teach you code, but it gives you learning tools and self-confidence. Happy coding:)
