Matt is the Best Teacher 😀 I thought that coding is very difficult, but I was wrong. It was my first meeting with coding, I was afraid... However, the all classes are good prepared, everything is easy to understand. I regret that it is the end 😉

Hi everybody! My name is Joana and i'm a 30 years old kindergarten teacher from Portugal! I realized that I could be so much more than that so I've recently expand my actuation areas and, to be able to reach everyone, I need some basic programming skills to leed with websites and more...but I neveeer thought that I would like it so much! Matt explain everything to us on videos and we have Slack with a wonderful team that help us to resolve some challenges on the way. Coding can be so much fun! I enjoyed a lot to be on SheCodes and certainly it will help me on the future. Take the chance, achive, everyday, your best version! Joana

I highly recommend the SheCodes workshops! I was always very curious about coding, but never really had the time to explore this world, when this course came up on my LinkedIn feed it felt perfect timing! I first went to the free coding class with Matt and in just that 1h I learned so much. The SheCodes Online Workshop is suited for students of all ages and for beginners, it's well-paced, and at the end of each lesson, we have the opportunity to also practice with homework and projects. We are fully supported, if we have any difficulties on the projects we can ask the technical assistants and fellow students, and Matt is a brilliant teacher! After this workshop, I'm thinking to continue my studies in coding!

I really enjoyed the SheCodes basics after doing the lessons. I don't mean to sound proud but it was very easy and elementary for me to learn. I really do recommend this course to anyone as Matt is a good teacher he makes coding very very easy. I also enjoyed the challenges too learning JavaScript, HTML, CSS all together. I can't wait to move on to SheCodes Plus after doing the basics.

I thoroughly enjoyed this course! I found the JavaScript a little tricky but when I spent some time on the lessons and recapped what we had done, it started to click! I found getting up, walking away, having a coffee and returning definitely helps. I think Matt is a great teacher and the admins on Slack were extremely helpful as / when we needed something.

I loved the 3-week workshop. I thought the lessons were taught very well, Matt is a great teacher. I also liked the challenges between each lesson. The help provided on Slack was very helpful and I received answers in a timely fashion. Thank you so much!

SheCodes has been an amazing experience and am so happy decided to choose the React course! With the slack chat and the amazing community I felt supported every step of the way and knew that when I got stuck there was always someone to ask! Matt is an amazing teacher (with great taste in music 👌🏻) and the lessons are easy to follow but still challenging enough to motivate you and get the most out of your learning experience. Honestly sad it's over but will definitely continue coding and hope to see more SheCodes courses in the future. Thanks again SheCodes team! 😊

Amazing workshop! Matt is an excellent teacher and this was exactly what I was looking for: a combination of hands-on exercises and easy-to-understand teaching. The 3-week course is the perfect introduction to coding. I am a UX designer by trade, so this was a great start to my journey of implementing my own designs. I would absolutely recommend to anyone in design.

I've always been fascinated by coding, but I never really thought I could have learned anything about it. After the SheCodes free workshop though I decided to give it a try, and I can now say that SheCodes was the best learning experience I've ever had. Matt is a good teacher, the lessons are clear and the challenges after every topic are extremely useful to put everything into practice and learn well. It was challenging, but being able to make everything work and finding solutions to each problem was sooo satisfying, it actually gave me a nice boost of self-confidence :) ! Wow! I seriously can't believe everything that I have learned during this workshop. Matt is a great teacher! He is able to explain aspects of coding in a simple and understandable way. I personally don't know if I would have been able to get this far without his ability to breakdown the flow of each coding language, and without the weekly deadlines and remainders that helped keep me accountable.

I'm really glad i took the time to check-out the free workshop because it made me feel that more comfortable with enrolling in a beginners 3 week course with Matt, founder of SheCodes and awesome teacher. The information provided is explained thoroughly and all the necessary tools are provided. The lessons and challenges were so engaging they kept me hooked to my laptop for hours. The beauty of participating online though, is having the flexibility to study whenever i had the time. There is always someone available to help or advise. So happy to have gained more confidence with HTML,CSS and JAVASCRIPT. I totally recommend SheCodes.

Though I did not have any academical background knowledge I have always been passionate about having some coding skills. SheCodes program was the perfect solution for me as I was looking for online workshops suitable for a beginner. There was clear objective of each class so I knew what I will be learning each time. Matt was an amazing teacher also. With his explanation I managed to understand concepts that I used to get confused before. Looking forward to having more workshops from SheCodes!

Matt was such a great teacher and all of the videos were easy to follow. He also makes sure to not teach every single thing so that you have to do a bit of research and messing around to figure things out. Thanks to this workshop, I learned about web development and how to apply it in real life. Matt is a great teacher and all the instructors are always very helpful and they always answer all your questions. I feel that this course prepared me to be a Front End Developer, and was a great way to start in this path.

This 3-week beginners course has taught me so much, I highly recommend it! Matt is a great teacher and the 24/7 support within the community was very nice to have. Within the final project I thoroughly got to put into practice what I have learned. I will continue with the more advanced workshops very soon!

SheCodes is a school with good pedagogy, the courses are well structured and explained. There is a lot of practice such as homework and projects. There are good communication and atmosphere between teachers and classmates. I recommend this coding school if you want to learn well how to code or if you want to deepen your knowledge.

I loved the three weeks workshop! I learnt a lot about coding and I completely fell in love with it :) What I love the most about the SheCodes workshop are the short lessons (about 10 min each) and all the mini challenges associated with them: they really help me to keep on track and never get bored! SheCodes was the first online coding class I've taken that made me feel like I *actually* made lots of progress! I love that I was given the foundational tools and got to practice utilizing them each week, to ultimately create something of my own from scratch. Matt is an excellent teacher, explaining things in a way that made coding seem like an achievable skill for someone who is not so great with math and numbers🙈. Before getting to know SheCodes, I had zero knowledge on coding and I have never imagined myself that I could broaden my level of understanding towards it. I was not sure whether online platform would be effective as this seemed to be a foreign language that I would not understand at all. My perception towards coding has drastically changed after taking a coding workshop on August 23rd, 2020, facilitated by Matt Delac. Matt is not only a professional full-stack engineer, but also a great teacher who explains what seemed to be complicated with a very simple and easy way. Full of hands on examples and simulations were easy to follow and I could immediately apply what I learned. Mr.Matt dissected knowledge into pieces and guided me to combine them like a puzzle. During the learning journeys of HTML, CSS, and Java Script, I noticed myself that I actually enjoyed the workshops and gained confidence towards coding. I wanted to express my personal gratitude for the effort and extra time Matt and SheCodes staffs have contributed. I am proud of myself as I could broaden my comfort zone towards coding in few weeks. I plan to continue challenging myself to deepen my knowledge. Thank you Matt and SheCodes staffs!

SheCodes has been great! Fun lessons and projects! Matt is a really great teacher, the different subjects are broken down into smaller lessons so it doesn't feel overwhelming. I had never coded before doing this course and feel that I have a real strong base knowledge thanks to SheCodes!

Whenever I had tried to learn coding in the past I was unsuccessful and had a hard time understanding it. Matt made is EXTREMELY easy to understand and I feel more confident in myself since I was able to create something I thought would be impossible. With the right teacher, ANYONE can learn and I am excited to put my skills to use. Even if you don't plan on becoming a developer, it is important to understand how they think if you are to work with them in the future. I always thought coding was super hard and boring, and I could not contemplate ever learning this skill. How wrong was I? With the right teacher and resources it is definitely not only do-able, but FUN! Matt is a fantastic teacher, and with his clear and concise explanations learning to code is an achievable goal. Being able to not only watch, but then do really makes the whole learning experience amazing. I can't wait to start the SheCodes + workshop. I love being able to see what I code, transform into a beautiful website. Being able to see visually the result of a change really enables my brain to learn through trial and error. SheCodes React is a great way to learn and test your skills in React Development. Both challenging and fun, it's very rewarding to build your own project step by step. Matt is a great teacher with video lessons that are very clear and that keep you interested and engaged through all the process. The weekly assignment's deadlines are great to keep you in line! Overall I would recommend this to anyone taking their first steps in React Development.

I'm surprised by how much I have learned over such a short period. I think Matt is a great teacher, and although I did have some coding knowledge before, I found learning on SheCodes was much more comfortable than the other websites I have tried. I like that I can move at my own pace while I have support available on the Slack chats. I'm looking forward to starting my SheCodes Plus workshop soon! 😄

Hi! I am Zeynep Cam and will be a first-year CS student this year. First of all, I want to thank Matt Delac and tutors on Slack as well as students who actively use Slack to help or ask questions. When I first came across SheCodes, I didn't know I was gonna have a lot of fun. Before SheCodes, I was trying to learn coding by watching 4 hours, 10 hours Youtube videos. It was a terrible experience for me and I thought that I will never be able to enjoy coding and even learn it properly. I thought that my decision to go CS program was totally wrong and I was already thinking to change my program as soon as the universities begin this fall. Then I joined a Free Coding Class and eventually joined the beginner workshop. Now, I am willing to study my CS program. It is gonna take pages if I mention how much I loved SheCodes. SheCodes is the best! And, Matt Delac is an awesome teacher! Thanks again for everything <3

Six weeks ago I decided that I wanted to learn to code, so I started as a self taught. SheCodes made it easier for me as they provide the contents well organized, and also, because Matt is a great teacher. The course is very indroductive, specially into JavaScript, and wouldn't allow me to work yet. I am glad that I will continue my learning with the SheCodes Plus program 😍.

What an amazing journey! Like many of us, I started with the SheCodes workshop because, as a designer, I wanted to have some basic coding knowledge. I liked it so much that I wanted to learn more and went to SheCodes Plus where I felt I've learned so much and finished with a good understanding of coding language. So I decided to take the other step - React! - that I truly hope and believe that it will open a new door to a new career. I will not say that it was an easy path, but Matt is an amazing teacher and explains everything in a good and clear way. And he is supported with an amazing team that will not let you stay behind. I have to give a special thanks to João, for his patient and dedication to the project, he was always ready to help and clarify all my (many) doubts!

I think Matt is a great teacher. All the instruction was laid out in a very logical, easy-to-follow way. I'm a super busy mum with four kids running around - one is a new baby. But I still wanted to do this, even though I was a bit wary of being able to juggle it all. However, because everything laid out so well, I found it very enjoyable. I will definitely be continuing to take more SheCodes workshops.

I have throughly enjoyed the 3 week introductory course! :) I came into SheCodes not knowing a single thing about coding and in a short amount of time I have learnt so much. I am now looking forward to continuing on with SheCodes React! I am really pleased with the structure and learning style of SheCodes, Matt is a great teacher and provides clear videos that make learning enjoyable. We always have the opportunity to put what we have learnt into practice by completing mini exercises and homework submissions. The communication is really clear throughout the course, if you ever get stuck we can raise questions on a shared Slack group where students can help each other out but there is a also a hands on team ready to help too!

I am a science teacher in my 30s. Since I was young watching my dad work I always had some fascination with coding but really had no idea how it worked. For a short 3 week course, it was an excellent introduction into coding. I am so proud of what I accomplished in a short time!

Prior to becoming a 7th-grade math teacher, I had a split second dream of working for Pixar. I had the math, all that I needed was the coding. I tried to learn on my own, but finding solutions to problems along the way itself was an obstacle. Several years have passed and I still had an interest in coding - that's when SheCodes came along. The tutorial videos along with actual personal assistance, if needed, are all well implemented and was exactly what I was looking for to get my feet wet. I have searched multiple platforms and different boot camps and I chose Shecodes. It was the best decision I made. It was a super fun and exciting journey on learning the basics of HTML, CSS and JS! I have been a Tech Recruiter for a while and always surrounded with software engineers. This course opened my eyes and helped me to get a better understanding on how things are built on the Front-end side and I feel this will help me in my further career! SheCodes give me the opportunity to finally start learning some code. I never though an online course would capture my full attention and that I could really learn without having the teacher in front of me. I love the short videos and the subsequent immediate practice.

SheCodes Plus is a really exciting way to further your knowledge on front-end development, it has a well structured learning path, the instructor is a great teacher that motivates you to learn more and more, the lessons are well explained and the exercises are challenging but at the same time this makes completing this course a satisfactory experience.
